Report: Fox Terrier Club of Wales Judge: Dr. Carola Möhrke

The Fox Terrier Club of Wales held a Championship show on the 17th of September 2016 at Little Mill, Abbergavenney.  Wires had CC’s on offer, but none for Smooths.

I would like to thank The Fox Terrier Club of Wales to invite me to judge at this lovely show.
Everything was well organised, the steward did an excellent job and the weather was lovely. The quality of the dogs being shown was excellent, although the numbers could have been higher.

Minor Puppy Dog – 0 entry

1. Browne-Cole’s Travella Stand Aside, excellent and very promising young dog, very good size, excellent head, keen expression, moves with power, full of temperament. Best Puppy & Best Puppy in Show.

Junior Dog – 0 entry

Post Graduate Dog – 2 entries, 1 absent

1. Campen’s Aman Snow Knight At Coedrhosyn, correct size, cobby dog, could be more elegant, the skull could be finer, very short back, movement behind too close.

Limit Dog – 3 entries, 2 absent

1. Wurtzburg’s Blackdale Buccaneer of Russmews, very good size, strong, but elegant dog, long head with keen expression, the skull could be finer, excellent topline, very nice strong and short back, excellent tailset, movement is okay, front a little close.

Open Dog – 5 entries, 1 absent

1. Malzoni’s Hampton’s Court’s Machida, eyecatching elegant dog, superb head and expression, excellent topline, very short back and excellent tail set, in top show condition, showed and moved to perfection, CC, BOB, BIS.
2. Barker’s Irvonhill Cider Cup, another lovely dog, very sound, lovely head and expression, excellent topline, short and strong back, tail on top, moved well, good coat, Res CC.

1. Aman Crimson Empress (TAF), ginger bitch, very elegant and of good type, very long and narrow head, ears can be carried nicely, long neck, short back, tail quite short, but nicely carried, correct front and rear, sound movement.

Post Graduate Bitch – 2 entries, 0 absent

1. Dipple’s Marvidyne Midnight Moon, small, nice head, eyes a little big and round, ears could be carried better, nice topline, short in back, nice tailset, moved okay.
2. Newitt’s Wyregait Tiger Lily, a little heavy in condition today, that spoils the impression, nice head, neck could be longer, a little upright in shoulder, tailset could be higher.

1. Bambridge’s Nethertonion Sweet Chariot of Beckstone Sh CM, sound bitch, long head, nice expression, small and dark eyes, level topline, short back, correct tailset, sound mover.
2. Schoeneberg’s Xtra v. d. Schonen Bergen, elegant bitch, long narrow head, one ear could be carried better, excellent topline, short back, excellent tailset, very good coat and condition, moved okay.
3. Moakes’s Jomoaka Tiger Lily.

1. Lilley’s Ch. Wyregait Shades of Silver, bitch of excellent type, very elegant, long, lean head, great expression, lovely topline, short and strong back, excellent tailset, moves sound, CC.
2. Allen’s Travella Sonata, another beautiful bitch, long head, skull could be finer, level topline, short and strong body, excellent topline and tail carriage, sound movement, Res. CC.

2. Grant’s & Griffith’& Hemmings Ch. Zlatan I de la Rosa, very elegant, long, narrow head, excellent topline, short back, superb tailset, sound movement, Reserve Best Dog.

1. Clifford’s Avlys Melody To Migley, long, lean head, nice topline, needs more ring training, movement hard to evaluate.

1. Arustamyan’s Yoxella Warm Reception, good size, feminine bitch, long lean head, lovely expression, level topline, strong back that could be shorter, nice tailset, nice movement in front, a little narrow behind, shows lovely.
