AUSTRALIAN NAT DOG SHOW 09 Judge: Mrs Sue McCourt AUSTRALIAN JUDGE NAT DOG SHOW 09 Australian Terriers PD (1) 1 Jackson & Foskett’s Mistabert Red Rascal, alert & showy red dog, masculine head & expression, good neck & shoulders, nice length of body with a level topline, plenty behind the tail, moves with a spring in his step, well presented hard coat. RCC & BP. JD (1) 1 Stoddart’s Millvalley Rorie More, this dog is in better body than I have seen him in before & he looks much better for it, he has a good hard bitten expression & a masculine head with well carried ears, good length of body, just needs to drop though to make his proportions look right, very good topline & nice red jacket, moves OK. PGD (1) 1 Simpkins’ Iandor Love Me Tender, good head & expression, nice neck & layback of shoulder & yet his front movement could be better. Good colour & harsh coat, lovely topline & backend. Would like a little more bone. LD (2) 1 Jones’ Wyeavon Torch Wood, well boned youngster with a good masculine head, up to size but now fully grown, lovely neck & shoulders, has really good feet, correct length of body, short loin, good tailset & some dog behind the tail, well presented. A little close behind; 2 Gibbons & Saunders’ Jenina Jessie James, bl/t dog in lovely coat, he has a pleasing head & expression with very good neat ears, good neck & shoulders, topline & rearend moves well. Would just like more forechest. OD (2) 1 Stoddart’s Ch Millvalley Red Rufus, very worthy ch dog who has improved since I last judged him, he has gained musletone in his quarters & now really moves, he has a good strong head with a good underjaw, nice expression dark eye, neat ears, very good neck & shoulders, enough bone, good feet, level topline & plenty of dog behind the tail, shown in lovely condition & coat. CC & BOB; 2 Thompson’s Jenina Jake, very strong dog all through, good head & expression, nice length to height ratio, moved well. PB (2,1a) 1 Jones’ Wyeavon Mystique, pretty bl/t who really knows how to show herself off, good head proportions with a wicked dark eye, full of mischief, nice neck & shoulders, good bone, level topline & good rearend, very good colour, moves enthusiastically. JB (2) 1 Lapthorne & Thompson’s Jenina J’Adore, typical bitch with a lovely coat & colour, good head & expression, nice size, good rib & level topline, moves well. Would like her with a straighter tail; 2 Skelton’s Millvalley Poosie Nancy, much finer type of bitch who was in lovely coat & condition, well presented. Not putting all in here. PGB (3) 1 Thompson’s Wyeavon Poledancer, really nice sandy red shown in good order, pleasing head & expression, good neck, shoulders & topline, well bodied with good muscletone, shows really well, moved well; 2 Simpkins’ Iandor She’s Hot To Go, bitch I have always admired from the ringside, lovely to find she had a forechest (something lacking in the breed), very pleasing head & expression, good neck & shoulders, firm topline, good hindquaters. Lost out to 1 as I would have liked a little more bone; 3 Foskett & Tyrell’s Wilfnbell Princess Perfect. LB (5) 1 Thompson’s Buy On Red, really nice type of Aussie bitch, good ratio of length to height, very good head, eye & expression, well laid back shoulders from a crested neck that flowed into a firm level topline, she has a well set tail with dog behind it, moves out well, well handled & presented. RCC; 2 Jackson’s Wilfnbell Ms American Pie, solid red bitch with a pleasing head & expression, good topline & hindquarters, moved well; 3 Skelton’s Brimartz Catch Me If You Can. OB (3) 1 Lapthorne & Thompson’s Jenina Jay Jay, such a well known bitch & at 7 years of age still showing so well, she moves around the ring as if she owns it, she has a pleasing head, lovely neck & shoulders that flow into a firm topline, that remains firm both standing & on the move, good well muscled hindquarters, tail set on high & a handful of dog behind the tail to complete the picture, shown as always in lovely coat & condition, her very sporting owners & breeders well deserve to have this champion’s crown. I was really delighted to award her that very important third CC, now she is a ch; 2 Jones’ Wyeavon Red Hot ‘N’ Sassy, red bitch who is lovely breed type with a good head & expression, nice layback of shoulder, good feet, firm topline, well presented; 3 Stoddart’s Millvalley Red Rose.
