My thanks to the National Terrier Club for the invitation to judge at the Club Championship Show.

Many thanks also to the exhibitors for their entries with only 4 absent.

AUSTRALIAN TERRIERS

Overall the bitches had the edge over the dogs.

Puppy D (2)

1, CC, BOS & BPIB, Jackson & Foskett’s MISTRBERT RED RASCAL, (Clear Sandy) , pleased to have a puppy d of the correct size, at 10mths still developing, bal skull, neat ears & gd bite, straight front, ample bone, apron & ruff
coming through, slight arched neck into gd layback, ribs well sprung of gd depth, level topline, held at all times, well bent stifles, hocks well let down, neat feet, needs to tighten in front movement, gd drive from the rear, coat texture correct, gd tail set, if he continues to mature along these lines, should with any justice gain his crown,

2, McCourts SILHILL RED DRAGON, well presented Red smaller type, bal head, neat ears & gd eye, lovely neck & shoulders, well ribbed, level topline, gd tail set, preferred length & hindquarters of 1

Junior D (1)

1 Stoddart’s MILLVALLEY RORIE MORE, (Red), not long out of puppy & still maturing, bal skull & foreface, well placed ears, dark eye, gd bite, well off for bone, well ribbed, tail set ok, sound quarters, tends to loose his topline on the move & would like him to carry more substance which should come with maturity

Post Graduate D (1)

1 Simpkins IANDOR LOVE ME TENDER, (b/t), not a big d but balanced overall, gd ear set, correct stop & dentition, neat front, gd spring of rib & tail set, well developed quarters, in between coats, more weight would be to advantage, moved soundly

Limit D (2)

1 Eardley’s MILLVALLEY RANTIN’ROBIN AT SHEREX, (Red), litter brother to Junior winner but more ‘finished’, gd ear set, flat skull, gd front assembly, neck & run-in, level topline, correct tail set, in lovely coat, neat feet, needs to settle in movement fore & aft, still excitable at times,

2 Stoddart’s MILLVALLEY THE EXCISE MAN, another litter brother, more like his Junior litter mate, still maturing but not the coat or showmanship of 1

Open D (5) (2abs)

1 & RDCC, Jones SILHILL LIMITED EDITION AT WYEAFON, (b/t), well made d, gd ear set & top knot, correct eye, muzzle & bite, neat front, gd neck, shoulder & ribs, level topline, tail set on, well developed hindquarters with gd muscle tone used to advantage on the move, not in his best jacket but overall showmanship gained 1st place,

2 Lingham’s JENINA JAKE, another b/t, which appealed very much, masculine well bal head, gd bone, well ribbed, level topline & gd tail set, just lacked the animation of 1,

3, Harbershon’s WERRIBEE BLAZING BANNER

Minor Puppy B (1)

1 & RCC, Jones WYEAFON MYSTIQUE, 7mths, sired by my RDCC winner, (b/t) lovely feminine head, gd ear, dark eye, lovely expression, just the right bone for her age, gd neck & layback, well ribbed, gd tail set, well made hindquarters, neat feet, in lovely coat for her age, moved soundly fore & aft, topline needs to settle which should come with maturity, on the go around thought she reminded me of a bitch I gave BPIB & BOS some years ago at Bath Ch, afterwards was told that this puppy is that bitches Grt, Grt, Granddaughter -

Puppy B (1)

Jackson’s MISTABRET NARDONES SCAMP, litter sister to my dog CC winner, gd for size, well set ears, gd eye & mouth, ample bone, gd ribs & sound quarters, neat feet, not as forward or settled as her brother, moved a little erratic at times

Junior B (3)

1 Thompson & Lapthorne’s JENINA J’ADORE, (b/t) 1&2 litters sisters, just out of puppy and need to grow on, neat ears, gd eye, bite & bone, well ribbed, level topline, in gd coat, tail too curly, moved soundly,

2 Thompson & Lapthorne’s JENINA JUNIPER, (Red), same remarks apply but this b did not move as freely as 1,

3,Skelton’s MILLVALLEY NANCY POOSIE,

Post Graduate B (3)

1,Simpkins IANDOR SHE’S TO HOT TO GO, (Red), attractive b, lovely head & expression, gd ear, eye & bite, neat front, gd apron & ruff, well ribbed, level topline, held on the move, well set tail, & muscled quarters used to advantage on the move, well presented,

2 Thompson & Lapthorne’s JENINA JAZAMTAZ, (Red), another well presented b, typical head, neat ears, gd eye, & spring of rib, level topline, gd tail set & sound quarters, gd drive from behind, could not match front movement of 1,

3 Jackson’s WILFNBELL MS AMERICAN PIE

Limit B (2)

1 Cox’s BRIMARTZ FIRELIGHT AT PETITPAWS, (Red), feminine throughout, well bal skull & foreface, neat ears, lovely expression, ruff & apron, straight front, gd neck & layback, very gd topline held at all times, sound quarters giving gd drive from behind, in lovely coat & well presented, pushed for RCC,

2, Skelton’s BRIMARTZ CATCH ME IF YOU CAN (b/t), lovely head & expression, dark eye, gd bite, neat front, gd spring of rib, sound quarters, moved steadily, preferred topline of 1

Open B (5)(2abs)

1 CC & BOB, Stoddart’s CH MILLVALLEY DIVA, first time I have seen this bitch, she certainly commands attention on entering the ring, lovely b of correct size, attractive head, well set ears, dark eye, gd foreface, correct leather & bite, lovely apron & ruff, neat feet, gd run-in, layback & depth of chest, level topline & gd tail set, well made hindquarters, gd muscular thighs giving drive from behind, in lovely bloom, very attentive to her handler who get the best from her, made the final cut for BIS, well done,

2 Jones’ WYEAFON KISS ME KATE (Red), bal head, neat ears, gd bite, apron & ruff, well ribbed, level topline, in gd coat, moved &showed to advantage, could not match the charisma of 1,

3 Jones’ SILHILL BLUEMOON OVER WYEAFON.

Best Breeder in Breed Award – Mesdames Thompson & Lapthorne.
