BORDER WINDSOR 09 Judge: Miss E Jackson BORDER JUDGE WINDSOR 09 Border Terriers An entry which really reminded me why I love this breed. I thoroughly enjoyed my day & would have been very happy to have had a handful of top honours to hand out. In a number of classes, especially in bitches, the quality went right down the line & even beyond the cards. MPD (13,5a) 1 Baird’s Dowgri Diggory, attractive, well grown, good jacketed youngster, strong in head, good teeth & jaw, masculine expression, shown very well; 2 Harrison’s Iacheslei Cantus, promising youngster. Perhaps not yet as strong in head as 1. Clean front & good shoulder, nice size & length of body; 3 Ward’s Brave Scooby Doo of Garw. PD (6,1) 1 Irving’s Dandyhow Beeline, promising puppy in excellent condition, typical head with neat ears, nicely sized with straight front & good shoulder, moved well. BP; 2 Ward’s Brave Scooby Doo of Garw, racy youngster, narrow with good ribs & bodylines. Just needs time; 3 South’s Borderella Day Tripper. JD (7,1) 1 Girling’s Benattivo Basilio, racy blue boy with strong head who showed himself off to the best, tight coat, nicely shaped tail well set on, good in neck making him altogether pleasing in outline; 2 Nicholls’ Halcus Annatto, pleasing in outline though heavier type than 1, in good condition with harsh tight coat, strong in muzzle, good muscular quarters which he used to advantage on the move; 3 Channer’s Mingrovia Flintstone Chief at Rubyfin. ND (8) 1 Brave Scooby Doo of G; 2 B Day Tripper, 3rd in a strong Puppy class, good in muzzle & head proportions, tight coat, another youngster who just needs time; 3 Rumsam’s Jenabeck Soloist. PGD (12,2) 1 Regan’s Digmoor Ace’s High, eyecatcher in the best of coat, thick & harsh, good in neck & shoulder, excellent topline with good tailset, strong head, excellent for type & balance. CC & gave me a tough decision for BOB; 2 Docwra’s Bandicoot Double O Seven, excellent for type, racy lines, in good order with tight close coat, good head & neck, shown very well; 3 Dickinson & James’ Blackmine Rossington to Badgerholme. LD (13,3) 1 Peacock’s Ragatam Harris, good for type, strong in head with good expression, good tight grizzle coat & thick pelt, pleasing outline with correct carroty shaped tail; 2 Clark’s Gameway Charles Dickens, straight fronted grizzle/t dog with good bone, level topline, narrow in rib, well carried back to strong quarters; 3 Johnson’s Karison Kasper. OD (9,1) 1 Thomas’ Ch Byron’s Greengrass Racy, dog in new tight coat showing off a muscular physique, well proportioned head with strong muzzle & neat well placed ears, balanced in outline, good bone right down to his tight feet, moved well to take the RCC; 2 Singh’s Ch Vandamere’s Secret Agent, in good order with bags full of type, strong in head with a keen masculine expression, level topline with racy quarters & well set tail; 3 Sneddon’s Kersfell Comet. V (5,2) 1 Norris’ Brookbank Break The Spell, 8 years in fine fettle, has the best of coats being thick & harsh on a thick pelt, showed to advantage on a loose lead & enjoying his day out; 2 Wrenn & Langdon’s Dandyhow Sir Toby, at 12 years still processes a narrow front & racy lines, seemed to enjoy his day out in the sun; 3 South’s Olderhill Hesta at Borderella. MPB (10,2) 1 Harrison’s Iacheslei Cantilena Very promising youngster, feminine head with neat ears, attractive expression, well balanced in body with good length of back allowing narrow ribs to be carried well back to a strong loin, neat in shoulder & front, in good coat & condition. BPB & challenged hard for BP; 2 Milton’s Baillieswells Isla, nice neck, less coat than 1, nicely proportioned feminine head, racy in body proportions, neat feet, moved well; 3 Hibberd’s Biddestone Picnic. PB (6,1) 1 Thomas’ Benattivo Gem Stone for Daluce, good topline, good short thick tail, nice head, strong muzzle, neat ears, balanced, strong in loin, good in rib & shoulder, good for type; 2 Roslin-Williams’ Mansergh Singsong, this girl was a pleasure to go over as she has the narrowest of ribs beautifully carried back, good in shoulder & front, strong in quarters, thick harsh coat, neat feet, good tail, level topline; 3 Green’s Didillybods Forest Hope. JB (16,4) 1 Gale’s Windrushway Serious Gwth, racy girl in good thick coat, lovely clean front & shoulder, elegant neck, narrow in body, shown to advantage; 2 Girling’s Benattivo Rosina, typy red bitch in tight harsh jacket, balanced throughout, racy quarters, strong in head; 3 Johnson & Pearson’s Rexlands Golden Plover by Karison. NB (7) 1 Johnson & Pearson’s Rexlands Golden Plover by Karison, nice for size, great coat & condition, balanced; 2 M Singsong; 3 Channer’s Rubyfin Ruby Tuesday. PGB (19,3) 1 Johnson & Williams’ Quarryway Sorrel, balanced, good headed bitch, in perfect condition, close pin wire coat, neat feet in tidy muscular condition; 2 Dean’s Yeomeadow Heather for Tyrian, good head with strong muzzle, narrow in body, good thick coat, nice front, feminine otter like expression, active shower; 3 Peacock’s Mickleheath Crystal by Ragatam. LB (21,6) A lovely class with a good depth of quality making it an enjoyable challenge to pick a winner. 1 Johnson’s Karison Kamellia, classy rich red in spot on condition, beautiful type, lovely size, narrow body, level topline in superb thick double jacket, overall she is balanced & not overdone in any way. BOB; 2 Morgan’s Glebeheath Minnie The Motor at Blewecourt, in peak condition having a rough textured dense coat, strong in head proportions, narrow body to good length of back, active & covering the ground well; 3 Roberts’ Baywillow Canape at Smalesmouth. OB (10,4) Another quality class. 1 Guvercin’s Glebeheath Figurine, attractive grizzle bitch in good condition, fit & in harsh coat, elegant neck, good level topline to a well set on tail, pleasing in fount & shoulder, good in rib. RCC; 2 Barnett’s Brockfox Beretta, close decision between these two stylish girls, active bitch with keen expression, narrow in rib & racy in outline, good in head with short strong muzzle, in good coat & condition, showed with activity; 3 Fraser & Butler’s Blue Tutu via Ycart.
