CAIRN JUDGE CITY OF BIRMINGHAM 09

I enjoyed my days judging. Temperaments were excellent throughout. Movement overall was no better or worse than the last time I judged. I found no bad feet this time. I was disappointed to find a number of Cairns with big ears and long forefaces.

Veteran Dog (1,0abs)

1. Wall CH SHEARWATER CAE DE SONHAS: Dark red brindle gentleman. 11 years old. This is the first time I have judged him. He has a good head, and an excellent mouth. Presented well. Showed and moved with energy.

Minor Puppy Dog ( 2, 1abs)

1. Percy WINETTA NEW KID IN TOWN: Red. 7 ½ months. Good mouth and eye in shape and colour. Good straight front. Showed well. Very much a baby.

Puppy Dog (6,1abs)

1. Shopland CHERRYCRACK BLACKADDER: Dark grey. Good head, mouth. Level topline. Liked his spring of rib.
Showed & moved with confidence.

2. Soper ELITECAIRN DREAM BOY: Wheaten brindle. Good head. Topline and tailset fine. Needs to tighten in front.

3. Shannon & Storr BRENNDARCY TROUBLE AT MILL

Junior Dog (3,0abs)

1. Wall CLOVERBROOK RAY OF SUNSHINE OVER SHEARWATER: Well presented red brindle. I liked his head and expression. Big teeth. Good outline. Level topline and correct tailset. Particularly good rear movement.
Very showy and alert at all times.

2.Warne SPIREBROOK DAWN RAIDER: Silver brindle. Attractive head. Pleasing dog but lacked concentration on the move.

1. Warne SPIREBROOK DAWN RAIDER: Moved better in this class.

Post Graduate Dog (2,1abs)

1. Marshall STRATHGARTEN CRACKERJACK: Good looking red. Pleasing head. Shown in good quality coat.
Balanced. A shame he got a bit full of himself in the challenge, I liked him.

Limit Dog (9,1abs)

Excellent class.

1. Templeton LARCHLEA TIME TO ENTERTAIN: Dark grey brindle. Most pleasing head and expression. Liked his shape, size and balance. Topline and tailset were good. Dark eye, good mouth. Has an air of quiet confidence.
Easy, flowing movement. CC and BOB.

2. Smith ROCASOVALE RAZZLE DAZZLE: Well presented red brindle with dark points. Up to size. Handled well,
very showy. Pleased to award him Res CC.

3. Moseley & Inett SPAWYCHE ELIZABTHAN ONYX

Open Dog (2,0abs)

1. King & Leighton CARRADINE NIGHT LISTENER AT HARKINLEIGH: Dark red brindle. Liked his shape and size.
Pleasing head and expression. Level topline, good tailset. Moved and showed well.

2. Grainger CH DEVIL IN DISGUISE: Clear red. Liked his size and outline. Dark eye, good mouth. Very well presented.
A shame he didn’t settle on the move.

Minor Puppy Bitch (4,0abs)

1.Petts DOONRAE JOIE DE VIVRE: A most appealing red brindle baby with dark points. Just over 6 months.
Liked her overall shape. Good mouth. Her confidence grew by the minute. Moved and showed very well.
Pleased to award her Best Puppy and hear later she went Puppy Group 4.

2. Osborn TWESLAM WINTER MAGIC: Red brindle 7 months. Showy and very promising.

1. Templeton LARCHLEA CAN’T REMEMBER: Very dark grey. Lovely head with deep stop . Good mouth.
Moved well and showed all out. Pushed hard for best puppy bitch.

2. Owen HONEYHALL HANDFUL AT CALDWELL: Red brindle. Pleasing head and expression. Changing coats.
Needs a little more body. Moved and showed well.

1.Day TREKHILLI PICCALLILLI: Dark grey brindle. Good head and expression. Dark eye, good mouth.
Clean outline. Quality coat. Showed well and moved with purpose. Res CC.

2. Waites SVENDALENS CRAZY DIAMOND: Light red brindle. Liked her head, good shape. Moved and showed well.
Short of coat.

1. Shannon & Storr BRENNDARCY BUTTON IT JW.: Light red. Attractive head and expression. Liked her shape,
level topline and tailset. Presented in fine form. On her toes, very alert and moved well.

2.Ward VANAJAM LEADING LADY: Light red. Very well presented. Good head with deep stop. Dark eye.
Showed and moved well.

3.Confue ANJOFRA WELCOME TO LA LA LAND

Post Graduate Bitch (11,2ab)

1. Osborn TWESLAM SERENDIPITY: Dark red brindle. Very pleased with her head and expression.
Dark eye, good mouth, showy. Moved well. Sound Cairn but would like her one size up.

2. Robinson CRUZO CAITLIN: Red brindle. Well up to size. Has a lovely shape. Head and expression good. Moved well.

1. King, Leighton, Inett & Harrison CURTISEY FOREIGN ACCOUNT WITH CARRADINE: Grey brindle.
Good head and expression. Liked her size, balance and type. Moved and showed well.

2.Waugh RIVERCOTTAGE SANDY’S LEGEND: Dark red brindle. Good head and expression, Good reach of neck.
Lively and fun.

3.Keeves SEVEEK THE MYSTERY OF DREAMS

Open Bitch (5,2abs)

1.Waugh RAZZLE DAZZLE GLORY AT TRIBANNON: A most appealing cream with the lovliest head & expression. Neat ears which she used well. Dark eye. Good mouth. A little less coat would help show off her excellent shape. A joy to watch on the move. Exuberant attitude. CC.

2. Thompson CASTLELINE BONNIE JW: Lovely red. Excellent head and appealing expression. Presented in good order. Lacking sparkle today.
