CAIRN JUDGE THREE COUNTIES 09

Cairn Terriers

I thought that overall the quality was good & in some of the bitch classes there were a lot of quality bitches. It was sad to have to send them out of the ring cardless & I am sure on another day it will be their turn.

MPD (3)

1 Tutching’s Tribannon Gypsy King, well balanced puppy with lovely shape, good shoulders, topline & tailset, in good coat apart from lacking furnishings but these will come in time. Has that typical expression made more attractive with his dark mask & ears. When his furnishings come he should have a beautiful head. Moved & showed well;

2 Keeve’s Seveek Dare Devil, nice head & expression, in very good coat. A little short on leg & this is where he lost out to 1. Otherwise a very nice puppy;

3 Soper’s Elitecharm Dream Boy.

PD (1)

1 Shannon & Storr’s Brenndarcy Trouble At Mill, on his own but well deserving of his place. Very nice head, correct expression & eye colour, good length of neck into correct shoulders, level topline with tailset, in good coat, moved well.

JD (3)

1 Catto’s Birselaw Follow Your Dream, took my eye as he came into the ring & didn’t disappoint on the table, beautiful head with very wicked expression, good length of neck, excellent coat, very alert, showing really well, lovely free flowing movement, liked him a lot. RCC;

2 Firth’s Cairngold Spin Of The Wheel, good head & expression, nice length of neck, correct shoulders, well muscled, moved well;

3 Kinchin’s Tyreece’s Tricks.

PGD (6)

Very close decision, I liked both these dogs & the same remarks apply. I just thought that 1 was showing better.

1 Downie & Tate’s Jaeva Face The Music, nicely balanced dog, good head & expression, well boned, correct double coat, level topline & good tailset, moved & showed well;

2 Mosely’s Spawyce Elizabethan Onyx;

3 Felters & Rumen’s Landbuck Colour Code.

LD (5)

1 Templeton’s Larchlea Time To Entertain You, caught my eye on entering the ring & didn’t disappoint on the table, lovely head with dark eyes, true varmint expression, well boned, lovely textured coat with correct undercoat, kept topline on the move, excellent showman, considered him for RCC;

2 Smee’s Malmay King Of The Road, very similar to 1, thought that 1 just had that little bit extra all over;

3 Barney’s Alfie Lunar Hopper.

OD (5)

1 Pollock’s Ch Larchlea Licence To Thrill, I’ve admired him from the ringside since he was a puppy & was delighted to be given the chance to go over him, lovely dog to look at & fulfilled all my expectations, wonderful bone & muscletone, beautiful masculine head, good length of neck, correct shoulders, topline which never falters when he moves, tail in the correct position, correct front with good forechest, good bend of stifle, coat of correct texture with necessary soft undercoat. A little bit of a handful at times but did what was needed at the right time. All Cairn & that’s how Cairns should be. CC & BOB;

2 Innetts’ Nonecom Inett To Winnt with Carradine, good head with dark mask & ears, very good double coat, showed well;

3 Cameron’s Ch Stryveling Robb Ruadh.

MPB (8)

1 Shaw’s Honeyhall Halliwell, very showy little girl, lovely feminine head without losing that wicked expression, well balanced, in excellent coat & condition, well presented, moved with very free flowing stride;

2 Templeton’s Larchlea Can’t Remember, very feminine girl. 1 had that little bit more spirit;

3 Downie’s Larchlea Come Away With Me.

PB (5)

1 Braybrook’s Cloverbrook Xtra Factor, lovely little girl with beautiful head & wicked expression, well balanced with good bone, good length of neck into correct shoulders, in good double coat, liked her outline very much, level topline with correct tailset. A little bit naughty but showed very well when she wanted to. BP & PG1;

2 Fyfe’s Andrum Peace Treaty, very nice puppy. A little short on coat but what she had was good. Nicely balanced, moved & showed well, I look forward to seeing her in full coat & furnishings;

3 Saich’s Lindcoly Catch Me If You Can.

JB (13)

This was a class with a lot of quality bitches & it was a shame that some had to go cardless, I would have loved to have been able to give more awards.

1 Confue’s Anfofra Welcome To La La Land, very competent showgirl, lovely shape, very feminine head with dark ears, correct dark eye giving her that mischievous expression, good length of neck, correct topline & tailset, moved well & presented beautifully;

2 Shannon & Storr’s Brenndarcy Button It, the above comments apply to her, I just thought 1 put more into her showing;

3 Smee’s High Class Baby at Malmay.

PGB (13)

Another class full of quality.

1 Felters & Rumens’ Landbuck Jazz Hands, I have liked her since she was a puppy, has all the qualities that I love in a bitch, beautiful head, wicked expression, well balanced with lovely outline, well boned with good muscletone, correct double coat, well presented, excellent topline kept on the move & can she move, very free flowing stride with such drive on the back, loved everything about her. CC;

2 Chambers & Exton’s Cairngrove Clever Clogs, have liked from the ringside & she lived up to my expectations, lovely head & expression, good length of neck, correct coat, moved & showed well;

3 Petts’ Cairngold Gunning For Gold with Doonrae.

LB (11)

1 Shaw’s Honeyhall Hide’N’Seek, great little showgirl, never stopped, very feminine head, nice dark ears, correct shoulders, good front & forechest, excellent coat & condition, moved well;

2 Innett’s Noncom Minnie The Minx at Carradine, very nice head, dark mask & ears, correct eye, good double coat, nice length of neck, level topline with correct tailset;

3 Smee’s Malmay Sky’s The Limit.

OB (7)

Again a quality class.

1 Firth & Jones’ Cairngold Avin A Paddy, yet another I have admired since she was a puppy, beautiful head & expression, very alert & showing all the time, lovely neck into correct shoulders, good front & forechest, good topline & tailset, moved well, liked her a lot. RCC;

2 Waugh’s Razzle Dazzle Glory at Tribannon, a little bit naughty but showed when she felt like it. Very feminine head, lovely dark mask which is so attractive, good dark eye, well balanced, moved well when she settled down to it;

3 Catto’s Dutch/Bel/Lux Ch Birselaw Emma.
