CESKY CRUFTS 2010 Cesky Terrier Judge(s): MRS S V WATSON CESKY JUDGE CRUFTS 10 Cesky Terriers The critiques are short due to being third in the ring & the previous judging being late by approximately 1 hour & 40 minutes & the BOB was needed for the group. I was very pleased with the overall winners, but shocked to find several incorrect mouths. These came from the lower end of the classes. Coats overall were good, fronts & feet need watching, movement in most was good. VD (3) 1 Fewings’ Twister Kvitko Komidion, at 12 years still has a lovely head & ears, medium length of neck, correct topline, in good coat, moved well. RBD; 2 Lewis’ Komidion Fanfare Dajaces, 7 years, similar to 1, but not as good in head. Typical topline; 3 Marett’s Ridley Javor, in good condition for 11 years. PD (2) 1 Withheld; 2 Lewis’ Rossau Zaar, up to size, not typical coat texture & colour needs to be carefully watched. JD 1 Withheld; 2 R Zaar. PGD (4) 1 Grant’s Grancek Early One Morning, nice shape & topline, good mouth, medium length of neck, high hocks, moved well; 2 Lewis’ Rossau Fancy That, grey, pleasing shape, ribs well back, moved well; 3 Jairey’s Nordham Singing The Blues, light grey, nice head & ears, round well sprung ribs. OD (10) 1 Brown’s Lastarean Dufek, this dog has served the breed well, full of quality, well placed ears, nice arch & reach of neck, lovely topline, high hocks, a great showman, in excellent condition & coat. BD. His daughter took top honours; 2 Withers’ Fr/Lux Ch Captain Crochet du Champ d Eole, good type, nice front & reach of neck, moved easily; 3 Livingston’s Lastarean Putovani, pleasing dog, good hindquarters. GCD (3) 1 Burnett’s Woodstrode Drak of Kohima, pleasing grey, good coat, well balanced; 2 Marett’s Lastarean Kral of Zidout, did not move as well as 1; 3 Lewis’ Rossau Highlife, preferred 1 & 2. VB (4) 1 Atter’s Gloria Kvitko, quality bitch, good length of head, well placed ears, super topline, in good coat, moved & showed well. BV; 2 Marett’s Gayteckels Highflyer, liked this one very much, dark eye, good mouth, not a lot of her. A size bigger would have been to her advantage, but a good temperament & showed well; 3 Marett’s Malsville Lincoln Ridley, moved well, feminine head, similar to 2. PB (3,1) 1 Rusby’s Rossau Zaarava at Placido, pleasing in head, good front. Coat starting to go grey. Nicely balanced; 2 Grant’s Grancek Krasna, ears erratic & front needs to tighten. JB (1) 1 Rusby’s Rossau Zaarbeena, nice shape & balance, starting to turn grey, not enjoying it & did not like the noise from other rings. BP. PGB (13,3) 1 Atter’s Ridley Pamatka, quality grey, lovely head & eye. Short of furnishings. Nice neck & shoulders, correct shape & size for the breed, ribs well back, moved well. RBB; 2 Tobijanski’s Janski Martyna with Zippor, feminine, nice size, pale grey, good head & ears, topline well balanced, showed well; 3 Brown’s Ridley Oslava Lastarean, nice bitch, straight front, high hocks, ribs well sprung. OB (9,1) 1 Tobijanski’s Janski Celtic Ceska, I have judged this bitch before, but she was in absolute top form, a quality bitch, nice length of neck with arch, correct topline, lovely head, ears & mouth with a coat that gleamed. Could not deny her BOB as she moved & showed so well; 2 Fewings’ Komidion Jacara, quality grey, good head, nice reach of neck, correct shape, high hocks, bigger all round than 1, good coat, showed well; 3 Thomson’s Lastarean Bavinka at Karensbrae, nice size, very feminine, pleasing head, handled very well. GCB (4) 1 Bowerman’s Woodstrode Cesmina, better shape than 2 Bowerman’s Woodstrode Eliska, coat quality OK. Heavier all round than 1; 3 Piggott’s Alaska Day Break, showed OK after a long day. |
