SMOOTH FOX JUDGE EAST OF ENGLAND 09

Smooth Fox Terriers

I was really proud to judge SFT in their motherland. It is always exciting to see such an outstanding dog. In this case it was the BOB winner, the beautiful little bitch.

PD (5)

1 Crouch’s Yoxella Writers Block Among Oaxca, quite small, very elegant, lovely head & expression, good bones, moved OK;

2 Griffiths & Jones’ Yoxella White Tie, on the bigger side, strong bone, good head, should carry ears higher, quite ready for his age;

3 Brookes’ Mischief In Disguise. JD (1) 1 Broom’s Roxway Editor, good size, lovely head, dark eyes, correct ears, excellent tailset. Wish he had moved with more drive, coat not in show condition. PGD (3,1a) 1 Hannar’s Tamedale Zico, plenty of bone, excellent topline, good rear movement. Wish he had a finer head; 2 Horlock’s Ranlock Portman, very elegant, eyes a little bit light, not as short in the back as 1, rear movement OK. LD (4,1) 1 Oxmann’s Dobelands Another Hero, quite big, excellent topline, long lean head, correct tailset, higher ear placement would help him, wish him movement with more drive; 2 Baker’s Tuskenraider Stormtrooper, quite small, very compact with good bones. Not the finest head. Lovely expression, closed movement; 3 Darby & Marston’s Chipstead Gulliver of Classicway. OD (4) 1 Heathcote’s Corricote Mastercard, good size, elegant, excellent topline, long neck, long lean head & good expression, very well presented, good showing. Would prefer smaller eyes. Movement OK. CC; 2 Falkous’ Sillelagh San-Diego of Falkmere, on the bigger side, long neck, short level back, long lean head, a better ear carriage would help him a lot, movement OK. RCC; 3 Saunders’ Star Turn of Galleyshine.

PB (5,1)

1 Horspol’s Rotur Celtic Desires of Adaires, 9 months stylish bitch in perfect size, excellent topline, excellent long lean head, lovely expression, dark small eyes, correctly angulated, in top condition, very well presented & handled, caught my eyes from the first minute she came in the ring, I think she will have a big future, looked great for her age in the group. BP, CC & BOB;

2 Saunders’ Galleyshine Secret Love, smaller size, lovely temperament & showing, head & body fit together, top tailset, moving OK, had a hard competition with 1;

3 Oxman’s Fincham Bonnieville.

JB (1) A.

PGB (4,1)

1 Laws’ Sufredon Soul Mate, compact bitch, good size & substance, long neck, short back, excellent tailset, movement OK;

2 Hughes’ Forgevale Fourstar, very elegant with lovely long lean head, excellent neck & shoulders, ear carriage disturbs her expression, correct movement;

3 Horlock’s Ranlock Oakley.

LB (4,1)

1 Thornton & Bebbington’s Glendaterra Danzatrice, excellent size & substance, short level back, long head, correct movement, ears should be higher placed;

2 Porter & Crisp’s Marekoast Vixen, very elegant, excellent topline, short level back, very good show condition, movement not as free as 1;

3 Marston’s Chipstead Gemstone.

OB (6)

1 Laws’ Sufredon Bandanna at Canterway, excellent size, good bones & substance, long lean head, correct ear placement, excellent tailset, good angulated hindquarters, correct movement. RCC;

2 Broom’s Ch Chipstead Monsoon with Roxway, very elegant, excellent long lean head, small dark eyes, nice topline, excellent expression, coat not in show condition;
