FOX SMOOTH MANCHESTER 09 Judge: Mr Andrew Hunt FOX TERRIER SMOOTH JUDGE MANCHESTER 09 Smooth Fox Terriers PD (1) 1 Graffin & Roxway’s Brave Edge at Leconridge, very young dog, clean head, small dark eye. Can grow on leg for overall balance. Moved OK for age when settled. JD (6) 1 Horlock’s Ranlock Portman, well made throughout, long head, well carried ears, long neck, good true front, deep chest, on his toes, tail on top, good quarters showing well, moved well; 2 Thorton & Bebbington’s Glendraterra Dylan Thomas, smaller dog than 1, good head, liked his topline & tailset. Needs to tighten up in front, moved well behind; 3 Hall’s Swansea Owen with Gosel. PGD (4) 1 Savini’s Starpride Devil In Disguise, good head, long neck, nice shoulders. A little unsettled but did enough to win the class; 2 Baker’s Tuskenraider Stormtrooper, little plain in head, long neck, not the shoulders of 1. Level back, keen & showy. A bit stiff in hind movement; 3 Turner’s Rotar Celtic Silver. LD (0). OD (4) 1 Thornton & Bebbington’s Glendrattera Rising Sun, high class dog all round, long head, good eyes, ears tight & well carried, he looks at you right, long clean neck, well laid shoulders, topline A1, tail thick & set perfectly, big quarters & second thigh so well angulated, good spring of rib, moved with drive & purpose, in hard condition, showing all the time. CC & BOB; 2 Laws’ Sufredon Bandleader, smart dog, good head & ears used well, good topline standing & on the move, tail on top, in super condition. Not the movement of 1, showed well. RCC; 3 Falkous’ Shillelagh Dan Diego of Falkmore. PB (1) 1 Jones, Rees & Griffiths’ Darlaur Deuce, liked her overall type, ideal size, kept her handler on his toes, nice head, good tight ears when settled. Elegant neck, good topline, tail on top. Can only improve with age. JB (4) 1 Thornton & Bebbington’s Glendraterra Danzelric, the type I like, kept her outline on the move, good head & ears, small dark eye, elegant neck, well laid shoulders, level back, strong quarters, showing & moving well, one to look for in the future; 2 Wilson & Lizani’s Shadow Dancer, sweet head, long foreface, best of ears, very pretty, showing well, moved well behind but toeing in front; 3 Griffin’s Leconridge Kiss Me Kate. PGB (3) 1 Crisp & Porter’s Nerekoast Vixen, smart head & ears, good topline, showed & moved quite well; 2 Hughes’ Forgevale Fourstar, nice head, untidy ears which let her down. Elegant neck. Not so steady moving but pleasing outline; 3 Harris’ Gavingale Airs ‘N’ Graces. LB (3) 1 Turner’s Rotur Celtic Magic, good head & ears, smaller eye would improve expression. Elegant neck. Would like a shorter back. Moved & showed OK. OB (7) 1 Broom’s Ch Chipstead Monsoon with Roxway, very honest bitch from all angles, long feminine head, dark eye, neat well carried ears, long neck, well laid shoulder, which give super topline, ideal size, good hind angulation, movement top class, showing very well, in grand condition. CC; 2 Condron, Magill & Flynn’s Ir Ch Shillelaghs Senorita of Robinstown, upstanding bitch of quality, good head & ears, true front, good ribcage, very good outline, moved well & showed all the time.
