FOX SMOOTH THREE COUNTIES 09 Judge/s:Mrs S M Steadman SMOOTH FOX JUDGE THREE COUNTIES 09 Smooth Fox Terriers Movement is not good in many dogs something to strive for in the future, & in my opinion some dogs are shown overweight. This does not help their movement. PD (5) 1 Griffiths & Jones’ Yoxella White Tie, took my eye straight away, good head, nice ear carriage, good neck & topline, excellent quarters & tailset, good all round balance, very promising puppy. RCC; 2 Tindle’s Jesuie Un Rock Star, another nice puppy, good head, nice ear carriage, good neck, well set on. Not as forward as 1; 3 Turner’s Rotur Celtic Dream. JD (1) 1 Darby’s Starpride Devil In Disguise, stylish youngster, good head & ears, nice neck & layback of shoulders, short back, good tailset, in good coat & condition. PGD (2) 1 Richardson’s Glendraterra Pied Piper, nice head, good dark eye, good front & shoulders, nice overall balance, moved OK; 2 Harris’ Sufredon Icon, nice outline standing, neat head, good eye, neat ear, good quarters, short back. Not moving freely in front. LD (3,1a) 1 Marston’s Chipstead Gulliver from Classicway, well made dog, good head & ears, good neck & shoulders, good quarters, well set on, looked well standing; 2 Baker’s Tuskenraider Stormtrooper, neat head & ears, nice neck & shoulders, good coat. Lost out on front movement. OD (3,1) 1 Turner’s Rotur Celtic Classic, mature well made dog, showing the young pretenders how to do it, lovely head, eye & ears, nice neck into great shoulders, neat front, short coupled, good set on, well muscled quarters, tight feet, moving with drive. CC; 2 Thornton & Bebbington’s Glendraterra Dylan Thomas, nice dog, good head & ears, dark eye, good neck & shoulders, nice quarters, good tailset. Unfortunate to meet a stallion of a dog in one; 3 Saunders’ Star Turn of Galleyshine. PB (4) Four nice pups in this class, all with potential. 1 Thornton & Bebbington’s Glendraterra Night Nurse, attractive type, nice head & ears, lovely expression, good front, neck, shoulders & topline, nice quarters, tail on top, neat feet, moved well, won on maturity; 2 Tindle’s Jesuie Mystic, another very attractive puppy, nice head & ears, neat front, good shoulders, good quarters, tail on top, nicely balanced; 3 Saunders’ Galleyshine Secret Love. JB (1) 1 Jones’ Darlaur Deuce, lovely balanced, well made bitch, grand head & ears, good front, nice neck into good shoulders, level topline, neat quarters, moved well. PGB (3,1) 1 Graffin’s Leconridge Kiss Me Kate, quality bitch, good head, nice ears & expression, good neck & shoulders, level topline, well muscled quarters & tail on top, sound with tight neat feet; 2 Darby’s Dobelands Private Dancer of Classicway, attractive bitch, good neck & shoulders, nice head, dark eye & attractive expression, nice front, good topline, well set on. LB (5,1) 1 Hughes’ Forgevale Fourstar, very feminine quality bitch, all round balance, lovely size, good head, eye & ears, varminty expression, good neck & just flows into lovely shoulders, level topline, well set on, good angulation, moved round the ring with style, in tip-top condition. CC & BOB; 2 Thornton & Bebbington’s Glendraterra Danzatrice, nice sound bitch, attractive head & ears, nice neck, good shoulders, level topline, tail on top. Not moving as freely as 1; 3 Marston’s Chipstead Gemstone. OB (3) 1 Broom’s Ch Chipstead Monsoon with Roxway, quality & type, lovely head with dark eye, excellent neck & shoulders, nice topline, well set on, good quarters, in good coat, worthy ch. RCC; 2 Lewis’ Dobelands Sonador, good all round conformation, good head & ears, clean neck & shoulders. Not as feminine as 1. Moved OK; 3 Clifford’s Migley Whiteside. SHEILA STEADMAN |
