IRISH BATH 09 Judge: Mr M P Phillips
Irish Terriers PD (3) Three very nice puppies who will change places in time. 1 Rundles’ Sidewater The Pretender, very nice outline, liked his overall balance & shape, pleasing head & eye, nice neck going into well laid shoulders, good body for age, nice deep forechest, strong behind, went well, in good coat. BP; 2 Bell’s Drumilla Diablo, very nice male, very close between 1 & 2, again very well balanced, good shape & size, pleasing head with nice eye, just preferred 1 in front coming towards. Handled well; 3 Bradley’s Montelle Viscount Erhard. JD (1) 1 Sargent’s Henrys Pride of Sidford, big enough for me. Good body for age. Ears rather unsettled which altered expression, would like more refined head. Good eye & good strength of jaw, good front, well angulated quarters, went well. PGD (2) 1 Hardman’s Bonosue The Mighty Quinn, overall well balanced male, very nice body with good strength of neck, OK for bone. Front could be better which let him down on the move, strong behind. Would like less of him in the head department. In nice condition; 2 Henrys Pride of S. OD (2) 1 Bradley’s Brilliant Mr Sirius at Montelle, top quality male, very racy outline, very sound, liked his head & overall body, very strong quarters, well angulated & nice hocks, tailset good. To be critical wouldn’t want any more of him. In tip-top form & well presented. BD. Just preferred the overall togetherness of the bitch when stacked; 2 Hardman’s Bonosue Eric The Red, overall pleasing male, lots to like, went well on the move, & well balanced. PB (0). JB (2) 1 Jackson’s Montelle Star Of The Ring, lots of quality, very pleasing to go over, lovely outline, pleasing head & eye, good length of neck with well laid back shoulders, well bodied for age, covered the ground well when on the move. Sound; 2 Hardman’s Bonosue Snow Storm, liked her for her overall type & size, very sound, pleasing eye with good expression, well boned for size. Just preferred a little bit more strength of muzzle on 1. PGB (5,1) The first two I liked very much, again could change places. Liked their overall type & shape, correct size & good outline. 1 Rundle & Goddard’s Allatsea Gift Of Gold at Marshcourt, liked her head & neck with good expression, looked at you right all the time, nice size eye, good strength of muzzle, liked her neck & shoulder placement, well bodied for age with correct topline, well angulated quarters with good second thigh & good short hocks, really moved well. BOB; 2 Averis & Willet’s Saredon Roseanne, very close contender, again all applies as to 1. All the necessary body parts to make a good one, but just preferred the front movement of winner coming towards. Two very nice bitches. RBB; 3 Hardman’s Bonosue Snow Storm. OB (3,1) 1 Hardman’s Bonosue Valhalla Queen, 9 years bitch in great fettle, very well balanced & of good size, pleasing to put your hands on, OK for bone, really went well, handled well; 2 Goddard’s Marshcourt Topaz, overall type, pleasing for size & balance, all the right essentials, would prefer a slightly more refined head, very nice eye & size, good strength of muzzle, good forequarters, strong behind, well put down.
