LAKELAND MANCHESTER 2010 Judge: Mrs Zena Thorn-Andrews LAKELAND JUDGE MANCHESTER 10 Lakeland Terriers PD (0). JD (2) 1 Kerrigan & Leadbeater’s Leadstaffs Sensation, fair head & jaws. Forehead a little creased. Excellent neck & shoulder lay. Still needs to drop in chest a bit more. Holds himself nicely & has good stride in profile & absolutely sound both ways, hard coat, shows himself off nicely. Still needs time as he looks much younger than 15 months. PGD (0). LD (2) 1 Matti & Omitogun’s Louieville Red King in Frontline, lovely head, broad enough without being coarse in skull. Neat well placed ears, good strong jaws. Shoulder blades set a wee bit too wide at withers but has a slope to upper arm & he is beautifully muscled. Topline has slight dip behind withers. Good length of stifles, sound rear, tail set on correctly. Good coat but a mite short in back coat. Nice typy boy. OD (3) 1 Averis & Barker’s Saredon Flashback, masculine & full of himself, pleasing head & eyes, neat ears, good neck, OK in front, well boned for size, excellent ribbing carried well back to firm short loin, powerful rear used well, tailset bang on top, smart sound & free on the move, excellent hard coat, well presented. BD & RCC. VD (1) 1 Ashe’s Ch Ebrooks Galahad, another smart boy, well bodied, ribbed back nicely, good head & mouth. Maybe needs a bit more fill in-between elbows. Good short couplings, well made quarters. Tends to move too fast & goes into a pace on occasions. Well presented, good proportions. RBD. PB (3) 1 Davani’s Kebulak Swing On A Star, nice to go over, moves well. Needs a firmer topline & a bit more rear angulation. Nicely coated, pleasing head & expression, good legs & feet, deep well ribbed body, tail set OK. BP; 2 Greenway’s Rayfos Virginia Leaf, good coat, very feminine & has good terrier outlook for her size. Ears not settled yet, slight rise over loin & needs more rear angulation. Well bodied & fit for a puppy. JB (0). PGB (3) 1 Whitehead’s Stanstead Try This One, good size, pleasing height to length proportions. Smart all through but short shoulder blade tends to restrict movement & certainly needs more length of stride. Sound both ways, tail set on well, OK in head, good bite; 2 Burgoine’s Lady Jelliroll Mercedes, strong & fit, good easy side action in profile. Unfortunately top size for the breed. Lovely harsh coat, shortish back, enough rear angulation, good hard leg hair, neat tight feet. Ears rather thick & heavy. LB (1) Lady Jelliroll Mercedes. OB (5) 1 Greenway’s Rayfos Hawk Leaf, lovely quality bitch, hard as nails & beautifully muscled. Excellent size & although feminine, is very strong & typy in head & build. Well boned with excellent feet, nicely ribbed, harsh jacket, best of toplines, well angulated, super mover. CC & BOB; 2 Ashe’s Ebrooks Ruby, better moving than standing as she straightens out rear on the stance. Good head, correct muzzle, reachy neck, good ribbing & body, level firm back. Just that lack of hind angulation standing but not so apparent on the move. RBB. VB (0).
