NORFOLK JUDGE CRUFTS 09 Judge(s): Mr M S King VD (3) 1. Phillips & Gullick’s Ch/Am Ch Jaeva Dutch Gold. Pleasing head and body shape, solid throughout, moved well. 3. Philip’s SA Ch Macnest Nik The Kaluha at Collaton. Would not use tail and not in coat, which spoilt outline standing and on the move. Spec P D (4.1) 1. Stevenson’s Brickin Smarter Than U Think. Very typical from this Kennel, nice size and shape, good body and very good coat, moved with purpose. 2. Ruffles’ Ruffnor Kriss Kross. Honest sort but tended to be overstretched at rear. 3. Saltmarsh’s Pipridges Hot Basil. Preferred coat and front construction of 2. Spec J D (2) 1. Phillip’s Tom Tom at Jaeva. Well presented B/T, neat in outline, head of good proportions, when settled moved OK. Res CC. 2. Dorkins’ Lowmita Sweet William. Good mouth with good bite, well set ears and eye giving good expression, not the body as 1. PG D (9) 1. Stevenson’s Brickin Told You So. Litter brother to Puppy winner and similar remarks apply, won class on overall balance and type. 2. Philip’s Hey Smart Lookin at Nordalset. Larger type than 1 but in balance, good coat, free movement from strong quarters. 3. Riley’s Lastarean Check Mate at Millstrand. Good shape but needed more coat to complete the picture. LD (14.1) 1. Jenkin’s Kinsridge Top Dollar. Super type throughout, square and compact, best of heads and shoulders, good mouth, short back with level topline and well set tail, very strong rear producing good free driving movement. Dog CC which I understand is his 3rd, may congratulations a deserving Champion. 2. Atkinson’s Moortop Hot Roll. Nice body, well laid shoulders and good angulation. 3. Mitchell’s Roxway Direct Line. Good head and expression, just preferred bone of 2, close decision. OD (8.3) 1. Thomson-Morgan’s Ch Belleville Premonition. Good type throughout, best expression in the class, with broad skull and well set eyes and ears. 2. Mitchell’s Richell Contraband. Liked overall type and shape, coat coming through. 3. Philip’s Ch Nordalset Distinctly Dutch. Heavier type and in full coat, would prefer less coat on hindquarters. Good Cit D (1) 1. Owen’s Hoathnor Jackanory. Just needs a bit more substance, sympathetically handled. VB (2) 1. Hess & Higgins’ Tomomayo Tiger Bright at Umbridge. Super condition for age, strong type throughout but not coarse. 2. Ruffles’ Ch Ruffnor Drumbeat. Smaller and finer type but would not settle on the move. Spec P (7.2) 1. Thompson-Morgan’s Belleville Intuition. My intuition predicts a bright future for this young girl, lots of potential and lots to admire, particularly liked body and plenty of substance behind the tail producing good propulsion. Best P. 2. Stevenson’s Brickin Skip Away. Good type and pleasing all round, well bodied, good neck, unlucky to meet 1. 3. Hurrions’ Valentines Cherry Crumble. Took time to settle and use tail, but did enough when required. Spec JB (8.1) 1. Horne’s Golden Breeze. Playful and enthusiastic but eventually performed to the desired task, nice head well set dark eye, nice ear carriage, giving pleasing expression. 2. Claydon’s Brymarden Cornflake. Excellent coat and condition, good dark red and of good texture, preferred expression of 1. 3. Hitchen’s Brymarden Corndolly for Kreatin. Litter sister to 2nd, good rear movement. PG B (17.5) 1. Gee’s Watercroft Hot Gossip. Nice size and pleasant outline, neat expression, strong shoulders flowing into short level back, did not give everything in the challenge later. 2. Hitchen’s Brymarden Caramen for Kreatin. Nice type but not as forward as 1, free and easy movement front and rear. 3. Atkinson’s Moortop Mary’s Choice. Strong head, well bodied and in full coat. LB (9.2) 1. Chamber’s Rouletta Smart Le Swazie. Smart by name and nature, excellent balance and very attractive in appearance, moved with ease from well constructed quarters. Very close in the final challenge. 2. Wilding’s Zazmeer Zoddle. Nice type and could not deny her this placing despite being short of coat. 3. Devereux’s Vichea Rambling Rose. Clean front and outline, with well carried head and tail on top. OB (9.1) 1. Phillips & Tate’s Ch Jaeva Fallen Angel. Quality bitch and well proportioned and pleasure to go over and did not disappoint in any department, best of bodies, good rib, well let down hocks, well set tail, pleasing throughout. Bitch CC and BOB. 2. Phillip’s Ch Vichea Pick and Mix. B/T of nice shape and outline, sturdy and retaining feminine appearance, well angulated. Res B CC. 3. Thompson-Morgan’s Belleville Lucky Dice. Good size and shape, but had to concede to two worthy Champions today. Good Cit B (6.1) 1. Smith’s Hatchwoods Smokescreen. Won class on overall shape and free movement. 2. Howard’s Hatchwood Flamenco. Longer cast and not always settling. 3. Ruffles’ Ruffnor Secret Wish. Another where I would prefer shorter body.
