NORFOLK NATIONAL TERRIER 09 Norfolk Terriers Judge/s:Garry Mason (Glenhafod) Dog CC : PHILLIPS' TOM TOM AT JAEVA Norfolk Terriers My first time judging Norfolks at ch show level. I was impressed with the quality of most exhibits, but was disappointed to find that some very nice typy exhibits, of sound construction had mouth problems (open bites, keyhole), also untypical for the breed were the many soft coats found. I enjoyed the day & was pleased with my final placings. MPD (3) 1 Fraser’s Jaeva Midas Touch, red sound all through, balanced head with nice eye, correct bite, moved out true; 2 Thompson-Morgan’s Belleville Black Lace, well balanced red, pleasing head & eye, nice mouth, shorter coupled than 1, good quarters; 3 Wood’s Kapitada Cream Cracker. PD (5,1a) 1 Phillips & Sargent’s Jaeva Pocket Rocket, b/t of nice size, lovely in head, nice eye & expression, strong well set jaw, good front angles & powerful quarters; 2 Saltmarsh’s Pipridges Hot Basil, red with lots of substance, nice head, good mouth, moved out OK; 3 Broom’s Roxway Twist And Shout. JD (5,1) 1 Phillips’ Tom Tom at Jaeva, b/t of nice type, pleasing head , good earset, strong well set jaws with correct bite, fair neck into well laid shoulders, nice front, short coupled, good set on, powerful rearquarters giving him his nice easy action on the move, liked his attitude & showmanship. CC; 2 Dorkins’ Lowmita Sweet William, red of good type, nice balanced head, kind eye, strong jaws, nice bite, correct front with good bone, in good coat, nice rearquarters & set on, pleasing on the move; 3 Stevenson’s Brickin Smarter Than U Think. ND (2) 1 Brittain’s Lexinor Starlite Express, red of good type, coat on the blow. Good in head, correct mouth, well put together front & good behind; 2 Fraser’s Brymarden Candidate, red of nice type, pleasing head & eye, nice laid shoulders, good quarters, moved out true. PGD (8,2) 1 Stevenson’s Brickin I Told You So, strong red of good type, lovely balanced head, good eye, well set jaw with correct bite, ribs well sprung, good topline on the move, nice drive on the move; 2 Gullick & Oliver’s Jaeva Kiss Me Hardy, nice for size red with pleasing profile, ears well set, keen in eye, good neck into well placed shoulders, short coupled, good set on, moved out true; 3 Davies & Lovick’s Bagatelle Chapter And Verse. LD (10,3) 1 Jenkins’ Kinsridge Top Dollar, red of lovely type, good head proportions, neat ears, nice eye, strong well set jaws, good bite, strong neck into good laid shoulders, straight front, well ribbed, powerful quarters, pleasing on the move. RCC; 2 Thompson-Morgan’s Kapitada Dandy Lion, red, great head & eye, racier than 1 in profile but very pleasing to the eye, good mouth, nice neck flow to well placed shoulders, good front, feet & bone, short back, strong quarters, moved with drive; 3 Mitchell’s Roxway Direct Line. OD (4) A. MPB (3) 1 Jenkins’ Little Redhead at Kinsridge, red of nice size, well balanced strong head, nice eye, good mouth, lovely bone & substance, well ribbed in body, nice rearend with great set-on; 2 Bettesworth’s Kapitada Blackberry, b/t of good size, pleasing head & eye, nice mouth, good front, well bodied. Likes her food I think; 3 Brittain’s Sweet Inspiration. PB (4,1) 1 Thompson-Morgan’s Belleville Intuition, red of nice type, pleasing balanced head, great eye, strong well set jaws, correct bite, nice flowing neck into well laid shoulders, good front angles, short back, well sprung rib, powerful rearquarters, nice on the move, in good jacket; 2 Phillips & Sargent’s Jaeva Penny For’em, good kind of bitch, balanced head, keen in eye, good mouth, well bodied, strong quarters; 3 Bettesworth’s Kapitada Blueberry. JB (4,1) 1 Thompson-Morgan’s Belleville Silk Petticoat, well put together red of nice size, pleasing head, dark eye, good bite, sound on the move; 2 Jones & Phillips’ Jaeva Bag Of Tricks, lots to like about this bitch, balanced head, kind dark eye, good earset, well set square jaw with good bite, nice bone & substance, sound on the move; 3 Claydon’s Brymarden Cornflake. NB (15,4) 1 J Bag Of Tricks; 2 Newton’s Rouletta Dolly Bird, red of nice size, a little finer than 1. Pleasing head, good front, level topline, moved OK when she settled; 3 Green’s Wharfvalley Amber Nectar. PGB (3) 1 Claydon’s Brymarden Copper Kettle, dark red of great type, lovely balanced head, nice dark eye, strong square set jaws with correct bite, lovely flow of neck into well placed shoulders, correct front angles, great bone & feet, ribs well sprung, nice tail set-on, good rear angulations giving her the positive purposeful movement that was so pleasing to the eye, in great coat. CC & BOB; 2 Hammond’s Belleville Mystery Lane, red of very nice type, great profile on the move & when free standing, balanced head, keen eye, strong jaws with good bite, lovely neck & shoulders, well bodied, good ribcage, powerful rearquarters. RCC; 3 Horne’s Golden Breeze. LB (11,4) 1 Stevenson’s Brickin Dance Away, good red, liked her overall balance, nice eye, well set jaws, good bite, nice front assembly, well bodied, driving strong quarters; 2 Wilding’s Zazmeer Zoddle, good type, well put together, pleasing head & expression, moved out true; 3 Chambers’ Rouletta Pink Lady Leaf. OB (15,1) 1 Thompson-Morgan’s Belleville Lucky Dice, compact red, pleasing overall profile, balanced head with keen eye, lovely earset, correct bite, nice flowing neck, well laid shoulders, good set-on & quarters; 2 Stevenson’s Brickin One For The Pot, red, good head proportions, dark eye, well placed ears, good mouth, well bodied, positive movement, in nice jacket; 3 Dorkins’ Nanfan Chick Pea.
