Airedale Terriers
Thank you for the invitation to judge Airedale Terriers at this show.
I was delighted with the quality of the dogs presented to me and
it was a pleasure to see all exhibits were shown in excellent condition
and all were trimmed to perfection. All had good mouths.

Junior (4, 2a)
1st        Edwards’ Vivavick Whoopee At Smockalley (B)
Super make and shape and with the attitude to match.
She gave her handler plenty to do and was on her toes all the time.
Although I would like more length of foreface she is only just over 12 months of age and this should develop with time. Lovely dark almond shaped eye, ears OK but could have a little more lift, skull correct for age. Strong neck flowing into good shoulder placement and she has a lovely compact body, short back and super set on with plenty behind the tail. She moved well in the class but did not move so well in the challenge and seemed a little distracted.

2nd       Edington-Hall’s Wendaire Kissed By An Angel (B)
Only just over 7 months and is still a baby but is learning what to do fast.
Good head planes and expression. Although still very bouncy on the move it was nice to see her enjoying the day, moved a little loose in front but has a compact body and lovely set on. Good angulation, super coat and colour. BP. Pleased to see she went Reserve Best Puppy in Show, well done.

Post Graduate (2, 2a)

Open (5, 3a)
1st        Browns’ Jokyl Noble Princess For Oceanaire (B)
On form today and typical of the breed. Head and expression faultless, lovely ear placement and had the best front and shoulders and front movement to match.  She has a compact body with a big rib cage. She did move a little close behind but had the overall balance I was looking for. BOB.

2nd       Oates’ Stabuks Mr Bojangles (D)
He has improved so much and is maturing well. Responding well to his handler today and very showy which gave him the advantage when it came to deciding my RBOB. He tended to toe in when moving at pace and when moving a little steadier he held it together. Good head planes with super ears, good strong neck and shoulders. Top line rising on the move, good rib cage and set on. RBOB.
