CAIRNS – P (5) It was good to have the opportunity to assess five puppies. 1 Clarke’s Svendalens Perseverance for Lentrica, smart puppy with a good outline & attitude. Lovely temperament & this showed on the move as well. A quality youngster. Head will need to develop but shows real promise. (2,1a) 1 Waites’ Seveek Snow Angel with Svendalens, attractive youngster & a bit in-between as you would expect at this age. Moved well in front, a little narrow behind, showed well.PG (2) 1 RBOB, Felters & Rumen’s Tweedisle Playing With Fire at Landbuck, a different type to the rest of the entry being a bit finer & prettier all through. However very appealing, ultra-feminine & a good mover. Good coat & well presented. (1) 1 Lamb & Saltmarsh’s Renshaw There And Back Again under Macmoon, good headed exhibit with correct stop, good coat & lovely tail set & carriage. Showed well in the BOB competition but not quite the movement of the winners. O (4,1) 1 BOB, Waites’ Svendalens Snow Knight, won with a bit to spare I felt as he is very much the finished article & not overdone in any way. Masculine but not coarse, good proportions & moved well. Played up a bit for BOB but I could not overlook his quality.

PRT – J (1) 1 BOB, Turley’s Pacolito Mistress at Llyunamill, stood alone but could have coped with some competition, nice size, very typy, feminine but still workmanlike & OK on the move. (0).

SEALYHAMS (4,1) 1 BOB, Newbury’s Ch Eleighwater Petraeus, caught my eye immediately, beautifully balanced, good size, super outline & a good mover. He has a masculine head & at 5 years of age is in his prime. Top that off with first class presentation & immaculate condition & you have a lovely package.
