It was a pleasure to once again judge the Terrier Club of Devon and Cornwall, a club formed some seventy years ago by like minded terrier men including Mr Rundle, father of Francis who together with wife Jean still continues the family involvement with the club. Sadly, like so many other shows, entries have fallen, not helped by a number of same day breed club shows. But, with a strong committee, I am sure that the club will survive, so long as you all give your support for future events.
Although entries were low in a number of breeds, quality shone through and my final winners put forward for BIS made for some difficult decisions. My thanks to Secretary Jean, Francis and the committee and my excellent steward Holly for what proved a most difficult day, marred by the sudden passing of fellow co-judge Dave Lee. We were all shocked by the incident and offer our deepest condolences to his wife Linda and the family.
