AIREDALE JUDGE SOUTHERN COUNTIES 09

Airedale Terriers

On the whole mouths were good. Some exhibits were taking a short cut by clipping shoulders & other parts, this is a bad habit to get into no names mentioned you know who you are. Movement could be better but in a wet weather tent room is at a premium.

PD (2)

1 Toulson’s Toulsyork Combat Cooper, lovely puppy, super shape, adequate head, good eye, used his ears when needed, good length of neck, short back, good tailset good coat & colour, moved well, hope he will have a bright future. BP;

2 Collins & Curran’s Collcurr The Emperor, 6 months, first time out, different type to 1, very much a baby, shorter in neck than 1, just been stripped, good colour, needs time, moved OK.

JD (1)

1 Pickering’s Jolliver Funky Monkey, fair length of head, finer trimming would enhance the shape. Nice eye, used his ears. Would like a little more neck. Level topline, good angulation, moved OK, enjoyed himself.

PGD (5,2a)

1 Hacker & Jenkins’ Sherifs Midnight Rambler, dark eye, used his ears, fair length of neck, tail on top, good angulation, neat feet, good coat & colour, moved OK;

2 Eastall & Davey’s Daedal Hi Mister Webster, head a little heavy. Straight front, level topline. Movement not at his best, needs to settle;

3 Harding & Allmond’s Magwyr Jack In The Box.

LD (3)

1 BP, Collins & Curran’s Collcurr Courageous, good length of head, lovely dark eye, good ears, straight front, good length of neck, level back, tail on top, good angulation, good coat & colour, moved well. A little apprehensive in the challenge but soon pulled himself together & had that extra sparkle to be awarded CC;

2 Jackson & Swash’s Jokyl Flash Gordon, dog I have always liked from a puppy, good length of head, lovely ear carriage, good length of neck, short back, got a bit behind the tail, good angulation. Didn’t moved as well as 1 but I am sure he will have his day;

3 Turner’s Crillee Cool As Jack.

OD (4)

1 Jackson & Swash’s Ch Jokyl Captain Scarlet, has matured like a good wine since I last judged him, beautiful head, perfect ears, straight front & good shoulders, level back, good tailset, muscled up in hindquarters, good coat & colour, moved well. RCC;

2 Iwahashi’s Rockridge JP Black Shadow, another upstanding dog, good flat skull, nice eye, used his ears, straight front, level back with tail on top, moved well, good coat & colour. Just needs time to finish off his furnishings then it will just complete the picture;

3 Averis’ Am Ch Longview Joker of Saredon.

VD (1) 1 Brown’s Willowaire Masquerade, what more can I say about this lad, he tolerates me going over him with just am mumble or two, & then goes on auto pilot round the ring to be given his red card.

PB (4)

1 BP, Collins & Curran’s Collcurr The Empress, first time out for this pretty puppy, good dark eye, adequate length of head for age. Just needs her ears to settle a little more. Level topline, has got a new jacket coming through, good colour. Just needs time which hopefully is on her side;

2 Edwards’ Smockalley Top Totty, another nice puppy, good head & eye, tail on top. Just needs time;

3 Terry’s Daielsie Jans Girl Power.

JB (3)

1 Toulson’s What Comes Around via Toulsyork, sound bitch, dark eye, used her ears, short back, tail on top, moved well;

2 Hampton & Hall’s Muliebrity Snow Lady, longer cast than 1, used her ears when needed to, tail on top, well presented. Needs time to fill out & look more finished;

3 Eastall & Davey’s Daedal Hi Point.

PGB (8)

1 Warden & Watt’s Sherifs Ruby Tuesday, very feminine bitch, lovely head, good ears which she used, straight front, short back, level topline, good coat & colour, moved well. RCC;

2 Edington-Hall’s Jetstream Russian Jewel via Wendaire, not as good in head as 1 & a little short of neck. Moved well round the ring;

3 Oates’ Stabuks Ebony.

LB (3)

1 Stuart’s Garland Tango Girl, very alert bitch, used her ears, lovely shape when standing, good angulation, lovely coat & colour, moved OK;

2 J Russian Jewel via W.

OB (2,1)

1 Jackson & Swash’s Jokyl Star Flash, I judged this bitch as a puppy & she has improved no end, beautiful feminine head, super ears, lovely straight front, level topline with tail on top, good angulation, neat feet, good coat & colour, moved well. CC & BOB.
