PARSON RUSSELL PAIGNTON 09 Judge: Mrs Marion Reeves PARSON RUSSELL JUDGE PAIGNTON 09 Parson Russell Terriers A very mixed entry. Quite a number with thin pelts & some with overlong muzzles which spoils the desired wedge shaped head. However, these comments do not apply to my top placings. MPD (2) 1 Chapman’s Foxwarren Finder, smooth tri, not yet settled in movement but I liked his overall shape & head proportions. Very pleasing shoulder placement & sufficient hind angulations, excellent harsh coat & easily spanned; 2 Baker’s Paculto Cost A Phortune, taller, leggier dog, much steadier on the move than 1 & sporting a harsh rough coat & thick pelt. But his head did not appeal & I preferred the shoulder placement of 1. PD (3,1a) 1 Newport’s Digaden Adventuruss, tan marked, rough coat of good density, straight front & neat feet, well angulated, good head qualities & correct dentition, easy to span; 2 Sutton’s Paculto Persona at Springbeck, tan marked, pleasing narrow front & well angulated with good compact feet, liked his head qualities. Very short of coat. JD (3,2) 1 Farrow’s Glenholm Happy Go Lucky, tri, especially pleasing well shaped head, good shoulder placement, moved soundly on good feet. Not quite so easy to span. PGD (4,1) 1 Sallis’ Mister Bonamonty, tan marked with harsh coat & thick pelt, very pleasing overall shape & balance with good length of rib, straight front & excellent angulation, good wedge shaped head, ears well placed & dark eyes, spans easily, moved out straight & true. RCC; 2 Pope’s Bradpole Ball Of Fire, good overall type with good head qualities & well proportioned body, moved soundly; 3 Burnhill’s Avonwylde Stormer. LD (6,1) 1 Lumbard’s Alncroft Hemlock of Morgandare, tan marked rough, well balanced dog with good angles, typical in head with neat well placed ears & good dark eyes, easy span & moved out smoothly with precision; 2 Denby-Gardener’s Ammanday Augrey, also of good type with straight front & tight feet, liked his well shaped head. Just preferred angulation of 1. OD (4,1) 1 Barker’s Giftrapped of Lovealoch to Pacolito, tri dog of very pleasing type, dense rough coat, well balanced throughout, good length of rib & easily spanned, excellent angulation, masculine head of correct proportion, moved out straight with quite a springy stride. CC; 2 Richard’s Pacolito Walteezer, tan marked rough of good balance & angulation, straight front & compact feet; 3 Denby-Gardner’s Olesenstar Vesper Bell at Ammanday. MPB (6,4) 1 Baker’s Pacolito Phlattery, tan marked rough, correctly proportioned head with neat well placed ears & dark eyes, good length of rib which was easily spanned, excellent angulation, moved out with enthusiasm on good compact feet. BP; 2 Kannagara’s Sherosco Christmas Rose, plenty to like about her, narrow all through with well placed shoulder & feminine head. More ring confidence will help. PB (2) 1 P Phlattery; 2 Newport’s Digaden Glamouruss, tri with rough coat, good angulation & a pleasing head but rounder in rib than 1 & not very confident. JB (4) 1 Baker’s Pacolito Picture Image, tan marked with very harsh coat, well constructed all through with balanced angulation, very pleasing head qualities. A touch wider in front that I prefer; 2 Chapman’s Gold Braid, very happy little bitch moving smartly on neat round feet & with an excellent harsh coat; 3 Chen’s Pacolito Phaithfull. PGB (9,2) 1 Bigland’s Heythrop Tandy, tri marked rough, liked her handy size & sound construction, narrow all through & easily spanned, moved precisely round the ring, typical feminine head; 2 Mayer’s Boughton Bliss, bigger than 1 but well constructed with sufficient angulation, excellent dense coat & moved out well; 3 Cox’s Montys Lass. LB (6) 1 Baker’s Pacolito Phirstclass, tri marked rough, very typical with pleasing head qualities, straight front & neat feet, soundly constructed with excellent angulation, liked her length of rib which gave her a lovely outline & was easily spanned, moved out straight & true. CC & BOB; 2 Bigland’s Heythrop Tiadrop, neat & easily spanned with harsh coat & pleasing feminine head, moved out with precision. 3 Newport’s Pacolito Premiere. OB (6,2) 1 Boggia’s Ammanday Arrow to Boughton, all white with rough coat, a rangier bitch with longer ribbing still easily spanned, very well constructed with straight front & excellent shoulder placement, head of correct proportion with small neat ears, she covered the ground with good propulsive movement. RCC; 2 Baker’s Pacolito X Rated, tan marked rough, also of excellent type with classical markings, balanced & well constructed. Just preferred long rib of 1; 3 Vaughan’s Paruss Star Spangled. Breeder Baker’s Pacolito Team, all of similar type & construction with typical heads all moving soundly maintaining their excellent lines. MARION REEVES (Judge) |
