STAFFORDSHIRE BATH 09 Judge: Mr J S Scanlan STAFFORDSHIRE BULL JUDGE BATH 09 Staffordshire Bull Terriers A wonderful entry, I thoroughly enjoyed my day. Just one or two mouth faults, all my placings had good bites. MPD (7,2a) 1 Longley’s Emperorstaff Coronet Gold, r/f, nice head & expression, dark eye, clean front, enough body, good coat condition, moved well; 2 Young’s Crossguns Monty, dark brindle, a little bigger than 1, strong head, nice expression, neat ears, good front, moved well; 3 Burrough’s Piston Rong. PD (7,2) 1 Robinson & Hedges’ Ledger We Stand United at Ramblix, dark brindle Standard promising pup, typical head & expression, nice eye, strong underjaw, straight front, ample rib & quarters, moved well; 2 Powell’s Cwmcalon Son Of The Lord, up to size dark brindle, well balanced, nice headed pup, clean lip, straight front, good feet, enough body, tail carried correctly, handler got the best out of this youngster; 3 Antonio’s Antoniostaff War Lord. JD (10,2) 1 Patterson’s Penshannel Wicked William, Standard size deep red, typical expression, black mask, dark well placed eyes, good front, bone & feet, nice rib, short back, enough tuck up, good muscle to rear quarters, moved with drive; 2 Beaufoy’s Wyrefare The Governor, smart r/f, nice shaped head, clean front on tight feet, nice depth of brisket, good body shape, well angulated rear quarters, moved well; 3 Membury’s Mitstaff No Mercy. ND (8,2) 1 Bruton’s Zakstaff Mr Guardian, brindle, clean head, good eye, straight front, body just starting to mature. Played up a little, handler worked hard with this youngster; 2 M No Mercy, Standard dark brindle, stronger in head than 1, good front & bone, feet OK, rearquarters just staring to muscle. Played up for handler; 3 Powell’s Cwmcalon Son Of The Lord. PGD (18,4) 1 Jones & Whelan’s Maxsta Hot Shot, dark brindle of Standard size, in A1 condition, strong head, good cheek bumps, chisel stop, dark well placed eye, clean front & shoulders, tight well padded feet, short back, nice bend of stifle, well developed rear quarters, tail carried correctly, handled really well. RCC; 2 Moffett’s Rypark Mister T, dark brindle, liked his size & balance, real eyecatching dog, stunning expression, neat rose ear, clean lip, straight front, enough bone, tight feet, good rib & body shape. Played up on the move, overall a sound dog; 3 Dewar’s Euphemia Drummer Boy. LD (19,3) 1 Dillon’s Cragails Get A Grip, dark brindle of good size, liked his head shape, not overdone, wide underjaw, clean front, nice depth of brisket, good bone, excellent body shape, carrying just enough weight, moved with ease & handled to perfection; 2 Moore & Cullum’s Dynastaff Jack The Lad, up to size dark brindle, so well balanced, looked good from all angles, clean head shape, well placed eye, small rose ear, no sign of lipiness, clean front, barrel rib, level topline held on the move, rearquarters coming on nicely; 3 Pearce’s Bullhawk Banksy. OD (12,1) 1 Gilmour’s Britstaff By Jove over Dumbriton, quality r/f, well shaped head, neatest of well set rose ear, stunning expression, good bone & feet, nice depth of brisket, barrel rib, level topline, best of rearquarters so well muscled & nicely angulated which allows him to move so well. CC & BOB, handled to perfection; 2 Stanway’s Ch.Waystaff Strikes Back, b/pied of correct size, compact body, good head shape, keen expression, the darkest of eye, powerful clean front, tight feet, barrel rib, hard to the touch, another with strong well developed quarters, worthy ch; 3 Gibbs’ Ch.Tillcarr Pyroteknic. VD (2) 1 Lay’s Ch Carnig Positive Profile, dark brindle, in first class condition, clean head, not overdone, strong muzzle, good front, excellent feet, nice rib, still has his powerful hams, tail carried correctly, credit to handler; 2 Lannin’s Bethane Thorin, dark brindle, strong well shaped head, very good front & keeping his body shape, coat in gleaming condition, moved well. MPB (4) 1 Payton’s Sunnystone Party Girl at Tonpay, dark brindle, pleasing head of good shape, clean front, excellent coat, moved really well. Still very much a baby; 2 Raynsford’s Caribbean Coco at Raynstaff, dark brindle, little smaller than 1, feminine head, enough bone, short back. Played up a little, moved well when settled; 3 Hale & Kemp’s Caymenstaff Sheza Babe. PB (9) 1 BP, Norton & Mintmar’s Look Again for Tikkurilan, nice size dark brindle, liked her head & eye, clean front, enough rib for age, topline good, nice drive from rear; 2 Thomas’ Samtan Shes All That, smart brindle of good size, still a little raw. Pleasant head shape, nice ear placement, strong front, nice rib & body condition; 3 Caswell & Dowling’s Tarowdorgy Kerensa at Cyberstaff. JB (11,2) 1 Francis & Hillman’s Samtan Forget Me Not, quality brindle of Standard size, strong well shaped head, still very feminine, dark eye & neat rose ear, very good front & body shaping nicely with just enough tuck, short back, tail carried correct, one for the future; 2 Grimwood’s Stormstaff Milly Moonbeam, in hard fit condition, pleasing head, dark round eye, strong front, barrel rib, body was just rippled with muscle, good tuck, nice bend of stifle, strong hams, moved with drive; 3 Funnell & Kewaunee’s Pocahontas for Powerpack. NB (6,2) 1 S Party Girl at T; 2 J Tarowdorgy's Kerensa at Cyberstaff, third in a strong puppy class. Nice size brindle, dark eye, keen expression, good length of muzzle, good body shape. Needs to settle on the move; 3 C Sheza Babe. PGB (18,2) 1 Coffey’s Aboriginal Black Magic, neat compact brindle of Standard size, very nice head & expression, dark well placed eye, neat rose ear used so well, clean front, well placed shoulders, short coupled body, just enough tuck, good bend of stifle, level topline, finished with a pump handle tail, her movement is sound. RCC, quality bitch with a bright future; 2 Pearce’s Tigerbull Nessum Dorma, very smart brindle, nice head shape, keen expression, dark eye, good length of muzzle, good front, well padded feet, nice depth of brisket, enough rib, sound rear quarters, moved with drive; 3 Jackson & Whitehouse’s Bourtie Wot A Steal. LB (16,3) 1 Lowe & Hedges’ Ramblix Revisionist at Khanspride, eyecatching dark brindle, so well balanced, stunning expression, so clean in outline, feminine head, dark well placed round eye, nice reach of neck, enough rib, good bend of stifle, level topline, a youngster with time on her side; 2 Pearce’s Inkastaff Midnight Chaos, another stunning bitch with dark brindle coat shining like glass, beautiful expression, round eye, small rose ear, good bone & feet, excellent body shape when viewed from all angles; 3 Winrow & Rhodes’ Jayneze Hasta La Vista. OB (12,1) 1 Byrnes’ Aust Ch Belleden Fleur De Rouge, eyecatching red of correct size, nothing overdone here, good overall balance & clean outline, nice head shape & still very feminine, well placed eye, dark mask, muzzle of correct length, strong neck, well laid shoulders, nice drop of brisket, good bone & tight feet, enough rib & nice tuck to loin, well developed muscle to rearquarters allowing her to move so well, tail carried correct, handled to perfection. CC; 2 Caswell & Dowling’s Ledger Odds On Favourite at Cyberstaff, dark brindle of Standard size, lovely type, sound in all departments, clean head, nice cheek bumps, strong muzzle of correct length, short coupled body, gleaming coat, in hard condition; 3 Norton’s Ch Tikkurilan Ticka Teboo. VB (3) 1 Williams’ Ch Eclypstaff Sheza Trouble, what a beautiful dark brindle, stunning expression, beautiful feminine head, neatest of rose ear, clean front with barrel rib, still has an excellent body shape & nice waist, this stunner would hold her own in Open; 2 Funnel’s Knockon Minerva of Powerpack, another dark brindle who looks so good, still has that pleasing expression & clean front, nice shaped body, excellent coat condition, enjoyed her day & moved really well; 3 Batten’s Kernowstaff Lady Of The Lake.
