STAFFORDSHIRE BULL SOUTH WALES 09 Judge(s) MRS JAN HUNTER DCC EUPHEMIA DRUMMER BOY JW (MRS C DEWAR) Staffordshire Bull Terriers PD (2) 1 Maxsta Loud N’Proud, brindle puppy, alone & was just good enough. JD (12) 1 Mintmar Just The Man, this brindle youngster is a good headed dog, having both volume & balance, short coupled with sufficient rib & depth of chest, although I would expect this to enhance even more with maturity, at this young age he presents a sufficiently powerful, balanced picture. Movement sluggish; 2 Crashkon No Stoppin Me Now at Tagstane, smart compact brindle dog, assessment was made easy as he was handled to advantage moving really well, good shaped, balanced head, short coupled dog with sufficient ribcage & depth of chest, in overall first class condition; 3 Ledger’s We Stand United at Ramblix. YD (4) 1 Kalhol’s Black Magic at Passernomen, brindle at the high end of the Standard, head notable with good dark eye & keen expression, well turned out dog in first class condition; 2 Valglo Equiliser, smaller dog with very strong head. The appearance of his head was spoiled by a lack of tight lips, could not compete with the fitness of 1; 3 Antoniostaff War Lord. ND (2) 1 Emperorstaff Cornet Gold, fawn puppy dog (missed the puppy class), short coupled dog, attractive head with black mask, moved very well; 2 Caymenstaffs Mister Vain at Ginstean. GD (5) 1 Maxsta Loud N’Proud Mosstaff; 2 Valglo Equiliser. PGD (4) 1 Jodanzac Crimson Cinnebar; 2 Shoguns The Highlander. LD (14) 1 Euphemia Drummer Boy, Standard size balanced brindle dog of excellent type, well shaped quality head with keen, intense expression, short coupled with shapely defined rib, good wide front with sufficient bone, tip-top, hard condition, handled well, moved with a sense of power & drive, maintaining his good bodylines throughout. I do not recall seeing this dog previously & history was nearly repeating, I gave his father the RCC, unseen as Junior in 2004. This a quality dog, who measured closely to the Standard & was fully fit for purpose. CC & BOB; 2 Bourtie Wot A Boy, presents the desired strong, muscular picture. Head strong but not as well balanced as 1. Sufficiently short coupled with good rib & bone, great front. Despite being well handled his rear action appeared uncoordinated & lacking real drive; 3 Crossgun’s Black Eyed Pea. OD (10) 1 Ch Waystaff Strike Back, red pied ch dog confidently handled & presented, super dog, love his make & shape, head & expression appealed greatly, powerful appearance with no exaggerated features, really comes into to his own when moving. RCC; 2 Ch Bourtie Red Prospect, beautifully balanced fawn ch dog, head powerful & short, short coupled, well ribbed with great front, wide & straight, defines the Standard in many respects & provides the master class in movement; 3 Maxsta Hot Shot. MPB (4) 1 Tillcarr Very Versace, brindle baby with sufficient type; 2 Pantycelan Princess Lea, this brindle youngster appeared to have more potential but would not settle to be assessed; 3 Jakamy’s Exotic Dancer. PB (3) 1 Emperorstaff Red Romance, red puppy, lots to like. BP; 2 Joliem Podgy Pogle; 3 Sunnystone Party Girl at Tonpay. JB (8) 1 Seastaff Sirius at Bullmaple, strong brindle bitch, head has strength but lacked overall shape; 2 Mintmar Look Again for Tikkurilan, litter sister to 1, both are immature & will need time to review any potential; 3 Mintmar One For One. YB 1 Rubucanor Roxette, brindle powerhouse in very obvious fit condition. NB (4) 1 E Red Romance; 2 Aymstaff Magic Flame; 3 Crynants Treasured Beauty. GB (5) 1 Mitzstaff Crazy Mazey; 2 C Treasured Beauty; 3 Sunnystone Party Girl at Tonpay. PGB (7) 1 Valglo Matilda for Staffwize, strong headed bitch with good expression, used ears to effect, front straight with adequate bone, really came into her own when she moved; 2 Kewaunee Pochahontas for Powerpack, liked the make & shape of this bitch, well constructed with good overall outline. Head not as strong as 1. 1 & 2 showed & handled well, makes all the difference in the decision-making; 3 Megastelle Quizzical Queen. LB (6) 1 Briganah Black Orchid, classy brindle bitch, gorgeous head, every element of this head is in balance & her forthright expression together with her overall attitude demands look at me, short coupled & well ribbed, powerful pleasing picture, appeared to handle with ease & moved off well. Front action not so tidy, slightly toeing on the left. RCC; 2 Bourtie Wot A Steal, real quality, strong overall appearance. Head not as shapely as 1; 3 Jessica’s Midnight Miss at Manark. OB (7) 1 Ch Crossguns Memphis Belle, quality brindle, strong, powerful & so well balanced, in tip-top condition, short coupled with well defined ribcage, good depth & width to front, which is straight & well boned, head compelling with convincing dark eyes, they could be larger but her expression is pleasing, moved with sufficient purpose maintaining good body shape, not a bitch with attitude & not overly keen to show off, an annoying quality in a number of Stafford bitches, however she stole the show. CC; 2 Ch Zakstaff Black Velvet, strong top drawer bitch, short coupled with great rib, front straight with sufficient bone, moved OK, head has all the required strength. Just lacked the overall style & balance of 1, did not sparkle; 3 Ledger Photo Finish for Ramblix. JAN HUNTER
