AUSTRALIAN BLACKPOOL 16 Judge(s): MR PHILLIP HORSPOOL Australian Terriers PD (1) 1 Jones’ Wyeafon Blue Illusion, a most promising well coated bl/t, he has lots of breed values. Good length of head, flat skull, dark eye & well placed ears which gives an overall keen expression, pleasing in body though obviously needs to develop, moved freely once settled, showed very well. BP. YD (1) 1 Skelton’s Spitewinter Ooh Ah Henry, a red dog who was typical in head & expression, correct mouth, ample bone, level topline, well made quarters, moved with drive, requires more coat to complete the picture. LD (1) 1 Willmett’s Wilfnbell Midnight Cowboy, a masculine red dog with a pleasing outline, liked his head & expression, good reach of neck, well laid shoulders, level topline & good spring of rib, strong quarters, showed well. RCC, just lost out on front movement to the CC winner. OD (2,1a) 1 McCourt, Eardley & O’Reilly’s Silhill Barney Rubble, an eyecatching red dog of quality, scores in head & expression, loved his make & shape, moves freely & with purpose, excellent coat & condition, handled & showed very well, pleased to award him the CC & later BOB. PB (2,1) 1 Whitehouse’s Silhill Nuts In May, an attractive red puppy, typical in outline, appealing feminine head, good in make & shape, correct harsh coat, moved freely, a little unsure of herself on the table but given time & experience this should rectify, I’m sure one that will give her owners a lot of pleasure. YB (0). LB (2,1) 1 Foskett, Tyrrell & Freer’s Wilfnbell Red G’day Sheela, nice in outline, correct level topline, big spring of rib although a touch over weight, well made quarters, moved OK behind. OB (4,1) 1 Foskett, Tyrrell & Freer’s Ch Silhill Stelata, a classy red bitch that appealed for size & balance, pleasing feminine head & expression, fair reach & neck, level topline, well developed quarters, moved freely, presented in good form. CC, in the challenge for BOB, she couldn’t match the showmanship of the male; 2 Skelton’s Ch Millvalley Blue Persimmon, a worthy bl/t Ch bitch who I thought was quite reminiscent of the Spenmoss era, good in make & shape, typical keen & alert expression, harsh coat, showed well. RCC; 3 Jones’ Wilfnbell Girl On Fire via Wyeafon. PHILLIP HORSPOOL |
