Australian Terriers

A small entry but no shortage of quality.

PD (0).

JD

1 Silhill Chip Off The Old Rock, 12 months red, excellent type & good proportions, excellent head, eye & ears, good coat texture. Can firm up a little in front yet but has great promise. RCC.

PGD

1 Riverwye Poacher, bl/t of excellent type & proportions, very good coat & colours, good topline. Needs to drop a little in chest & this is evident in front action. Very good head & ears. When he settles on the move & matures in body I can see him gaining his title. Lovely topline on the move & full of spirit;

2 Bethane Conna Sir, red, smaller dog, not in his best coat. Good skull & ears. Eyes could be darker. Needs a little more angulation at both ends.

OD

1 Milvalley Scotch Mist, bl/t, lovely proportions & topline, good head & ears. Eye just a little round but good colour. Good coat & colours. Can finish yet in chest & this is evident in front movement but I liked him a lot & think he will be even better in 6 months time. CC, his third, a worthy title holder;

2 Mistabert Red Rascal, sandy, carrying too much weight & this made him look cobby & wide on the move at both ends. Strong head. Eyes could be darker. Full of spirit.

PB

1 Wyeafon Starlight, 9 months red, small, low set with very good bone & feet, good head, eyes & ears. Very raw yet but has type & quality. BP.

JB

1 Silhill Scarlett Ribbon with Sherex, 15 months, lovely type, a little too much body on her but carried herself well. Excellent quarters. Tail a little tight. Really pulled herself together with her clever handler in the challenge & pressed for RCC;

2 Silhill Rock Chick with Wilfnbell, 13 months, full of terrier spirit & did not help her handler on the move. Good head & expression. In between coats & not the topline of 1

. PGB

1 Milvalley Prima Donna, bl/t of good length, ribbing & coat. Head a touch narrow. Carried good topline. Disappointed on rear action which is narrow;

2 Wyeafon Dicey Affair, smaller red, not in her best coat but has good type, good bone & better rear than 1. Ears a touch wide set & muzzle a little short. Pressed hard & had she been a little more coordinated could have reversed this;

3 Wyeafon Fair Dinkum.

LB

Most difficult decision of the day between two very different bitches.

1 Silhill Stelata, good length & excellent topline, in fact she looks almost too long at the moment but very good carriage which won her this class. Needs more body to finish her. Excellent rear & tialset, scored in neck & topline;

2 Wyeafon Dicey Kiss Me Kate, smaller bitch, appealed greatly, more compact, excellent body & good movement, everything in proportion but I would have liked a little more neck & slightly stronger foreface. Very good mover. These two were completely different & I liked them both, 1 scoring in neck & carriage. This is the decision I have mulled over since;

3 Mistabert Nardones Scamp.

OB

1 Silhill Snap Dragon with Sherex, red, could be cleaner in colour but after that has plenty to please including excellent topline, proportions & movement, very good head. Scored in topline & tailset to win this class & for BOB she is more finished in chest & body than the dog. BOB:

2 Temoras Photo Finish, bl/t , I liked her proportions, bone & ribbing, moves well with good coat & colours, good head. Not the firmness of topline of 1 who is slightly better in tailset. RCC;

3 Wyeafon Illusion In Red. VB 1 Wilfnbell Ms American Pie, 7 years sandy, biggish bitch but the best movement & topline of the class. Like all this exhibitors dogs very well fed & could be harder in condition. I liked her proportions & stride & great temperament;

2 Werribee Platinum Glory, 9 years bl/t, better size, lovely proportions. Not as firm on the move as 1 or quite as level in topline but a wonderful character;

3 Wilfnbell Uptown Girl.
