AUSTRALIAN WELSH KC 17 Judge: Mr E Engh (Norway) BEST OF BREED : 4563 MCCOURT, Mrs S & EARDLEY, Mr P & O'REILLY Mesdam Ch Silhill Red Crackle AUSTRALIAN JUDGE WELSH KC 17 PD (2 1) 1 Taylor's Wilfnbell Barney's Blue. Smart dog, 10 months old with a very typical head and expression. Well set and carried ears. Attractive neck. Moderate front. Firm topline. I would like him to cover some more ground. Well set tail. Still needs to drop into his hindquarters and could do with some more angulation of stifle and hock. Acceptable coat. Moved with a very pleasing balance and sound at both ends. I would not mind some more drive. Lovely, typical temeperament. Best Puppy and Res CC. 1 Cawdell-Owen's Wychtrees Monti With Cawdowen. Red dog with a pleasing outline, long enough in body. Masculine head, could make better use of his ears. Pleasing neck. Moderate angulation in front. Tends to turn his front feet out. Excellent topline, well set tail, carried proudly. Balanced angulation behind. He moved well from the side and from behind, but could be more stable in front. Pleasing coat and colour. I hope his second testicle will arrive. 1 Ferris & Rusell's Wyeafon Percival. Still rather immature, rather compact male. Elegant head, his eyes could be better spaced. Good ears. Pleasing nape of neck. Very moderately angulated in front and needs to stabilise. Firm topline. His tail is hitting his topline. At this time very black and needs to mature in his blue, rich tan. Acceptable mover. 1 Skelton's Spitewinter Ooh Ah Henry. Short coupled male, and not the proportions I am looking for. Refined head. Well set ears. Pleasing expression. Quite good neck. Somewhat bowlegged in front. Strong in topline, but should cover more ground and falling off too much over the croup, resulting in lack of drive. Pleasing coat and colour. 1 McCourt, Eardley & O'Reilly's Ch Silhill Red Crackle. Firm, well proportioned red dog of excellent type and quality and a standout in the breed today. Typical head, ears and expression. Well crested neck, reasonable forechest. Correct topline, well set tail. Moderate, but balanced angulation behind. Moved soundly, parallel coming and going and very co-ordinated and with enough drive. Very good coat and colour. CC & BOB. 1 Jones' Silhill Bluemoon Over Wyeafon. Almost eleven years old, a real character and still very busy and active and with bright eyes. She is very elegant, on the fine side with a most feminine head, could do with some more strength of foreface. Attractive ears. Moderate neck. Balanced angulation both ends. Pleasing topline for her age. A very enthusiastic mover, parallel coming and going. Best Veteran. 1 Nottingham & Dunbar's Silhill Pops. A smart bitch in a short jacket on the day. She appealed with her terriertype, tough expression and attractive ears. Used her neck to her advantage. Moderate, balanced angulation both ends. Firm topline. Well set tail. An active mover, she kept her outline well on the move. 2 Whitehouse's Silhill Nuts In May. Feminine bitch, not the fiery expression of the winner. Moderate neck which she could use with more animation. Pleasing topline, moderate length of body. Attractive coat of good structure. She moved quite well from the side and from behind, but needs to tighten in elbows. 1 McCourt's Silhill The Sequel. An instantly attractive red bitch, really hitting my eye on the stack, well proportioned and smart. Typical head and expression. Pleasing ears. Long neck with a lovely crest, adding a lot to her attraction. Excellent topline. Tail carriage not her fortune. Excellent coat quality. She took some time to get into her best stride, but when she did, she looked well indeed and won with something in hand. CC. 2 Skelton's Ch Millvalley Blue Persimmon. Another attractive bitch, blue and tan, with a pleasing outline. Attractive head and expression. Good neck. Moderate body length, quite pleasing topline. Coat of quite pleasing structure, but not in optimal condition of the day, might otherwise have been more competitive. Res CC. 3 Jones' Wilfnbell Girl On Fire Via Wyeafon.
