BEDLINGTON JUDGE BLACKPOOL 23

PD (3)

1 & BP Hanes’ Janmark Man in The Middle just 7 months old but never put a foot wrong. This youngster doesn’t need to grow on too much but he handles so well. Lovely lean head of good depth clean cheeked and strong underjaw. His eyes are small, dark and well shaped. Ample length of neck, chest a decent depth and his backline has that slight arch leading to well angulated hindquarters. Good upper thigh and well set and carried tail. His coat was well prepared and his very young handler got the very last ounce out of him. Especially on the move.

2 Nunn’s Mactufts Brave Mans Game very much the baby compared to the winner as not nearly so advanced. His head is good to handle, decent length, nice eyes and expression, ears low set and moderate spring of rib. Not the hindquarters of the winner but well coated.

3 Fletcher’s Maevani Albus Dumbledore.

1 & Res CC Martin’s Honeymist Firecracker this very promising sandy fellow was immaculate in coat and body presentation. Stacked he never put a foot wrong, used his well arched neck to full advantage, the topline flows with a gentle arch over the loins and sweeps over amply angulated hindquarters. His head handles so well, the ears low set and his expression pleased me. Such a sound moving dog and unlucky to meet the BOB Ch in such form.

2 M. Brave Mans Game.

LD (2)

1 Jackson’s Wooleytop The Marshman at Padtzar lots to admire in this handsome headed dog. Presented in excellent body and jacket then handled so very well. Lovely wither height, pleasing head, excellent eyes and ears enhance his expression, ample spring and depth of rib, good muscled hindquarters and such good feet. Moved out the a light ground covering step.

2 Ross & Creggan’s Major Tufts at Mactuft a remarkably youthful 7 years old. His head handles well, he has a good neck and fore assembly, backline a bit flat but his ribcage has depth and his hindquarters are well muscled. In good coat he stepped out with a light, east stride.

1 CC & BOB Cumming’s Ch Rocabec Riding Shotgun an outstanding example of this wonderful breed. Loved his make and shape, flawless in presentation, stacked his outline just flows, the head is a joy, his body and muscle tone are outstanding and he moved out with style and purpose. More than happy to send him through to the big ring

2 Davies’ Plumerias Dolphin Striker (Imp Ita) this blue chap is another very classy example of the breed with a delightful head, very good neck and he is well bodied and coated. Not quite the sweeping backline of the two I put over him, but it was a pleasure to watch his light footed, purposeful action.

3 Jackson’s Wooleytop the Saxon at Padtzar.

PGB (3)

1 Ross & Creggan’s Mctufts Kindred Spirit this bitch moved around the ring with that typical, light stride which comes from good construction. Pleasing headpiece, very good ears and eyes. Shown in excellent bloom.

2 Glaister’s Rose Jasmine Diamond Lamb (Imp Pol) up to size for me but she is shapely, lovely backline, well balanced head, with good ears and lovely pigmentation. A credit in body and muscle tone.

LB (5)

1 & Res CC Martin’s Honeymist Crazy Dreamz surely a titleholder in the making. A very classy bitch of excellent make and shape. Beautiful head, eyes and expression, ears close to her head and she has a good reach in neck. So well ribbed, gently arched backline over a sweeping croup to sufficiently angulated hindquarters which have ample muscle. As always from this Affix, spotless in body and coat presentation and she glided round the ring with a ground covering stride.

2 Ross & Creggan’s Mactufts Nanny Mcphee another of real quality and much to admire. On the stack she pleases as her outline is so good. Fairly long neck, then that slight rise before rounding off over the croup to well angulated hindquarters. Her head handles well, fairly lean with well set small eyes and close fitting ears. Not quite so firm in front assembly or action as the winner.

3 Davies’ Rapharnis Miss Joy Division.

OB (1)

1 & CC Mcnally’s Ch Conekesheved Too Shy stood alone but it would have taken a cracker to beat her for the CC!! Unsurprised to hear she was already ennobled. A classy example of the breed, has style, a beautiful headpiece, that flowing outline and such light footed, brisk action. Flawless in presentation and on another day she could well reverse the BOB decision. A delight to judge such quality.
