BEDLINGTON JUDGE DRIFFIELD 18

My thanks to my stewards for their help. Many thanks to the exhibitors for letting me judge their dogs and for their sportsmanship. Positions may change on another day. Ring was so bad I had a job walking over the ruts as did the exhibits and exhibitors. Unfortunately a few teeth were a bit out. Too many wheel backs on show which should be a rise over the loin. Heavy bones are making a loss of our elegant breed.

JD (1)

1 Wilkinson's Travellerways Jonah. Blue dog with white extremities. Nice head, flat ribs and deep chest. Needs more socialising as he appeared a bit nervous which made him tuck up.

PGD (3, 1)

1 Middlebrook's Tcheria Tcharleston. Quality dog who just needs to mature and firm up. Excels in head, neck and flat ribs. Liked his good hindquarters which he used on the move.

2 Baldwin's Woolytop Golden Surprise. Sorry this boy wouldn't settle standing or moving. He didn't move quite as well as 1 but could see a very nice outline as he moved across the ring nicely.

LD (2)

1 Offer's Woolytop The Wherryman. Been watching this boy since he started. Like his height to length ratio. Good neck to well placed shoulders. Well muscled so moved well. He just needs a better coat.

2 Fitzgerald's Travelyans Unzip You Got The Look. Tall dog with a good length of head neck and strong jaw. Ample depth of chest and correct tail set. Profuse coat. Moved ok.

OD (3)

1 Meyer's Tcheria Causing Chaos. One I have always liked and today didn't disappoint. Lovely head and expression. Good reach of neck, shoulders, correct topline, tail set and hare feet. Nice outline standing and on the move not overdone in anyway. Well deserved the CC and BOB.

2 Bannister's Miteymidgets English Dream. Another handsome boy with nice length of head. eye and ears. Good hindquarters, well muscled used to advantage on the move. Res CC.

3 McCourt's Bisbee Super Trooper.

Sp Beginners D (1)

1 Ross' Major Tufts. Another dog who would benefit with a few more ringcraft classes. He has a nice length of head with correct ear placement. Good strength at rear due to his muscle.

GCD (1)

1 Offer's Woolytop Theodore. Good workmanlike boy with a nice reach of neck leading to well placed shoulders. He had strong hindquarters which he used on the move and good hare feet.

JB (4)

1 Phillips' Rathsrigg Willow. Pretty bitch with good chest, legs and feet. Coat of reasonable colour and good texture. Nice outline and moved well keeping her topline on the move.

2 Lady's Bowlingbrook Makingwhoopi. Liked this girl and thought my winner as they lined up. Today she was unsettled which also showed in her movement. Good shoulders top line and tail set. Needs to mature now.

3 Farnworth's Kwick Kuddles For Isantha.

PGB (4, 1)

1 Baldwin's Woolytop Lavender Girl. Liked her height to length ratio. Good quarters fore and aft. Coat of cracking colour and texture. Lovely little mover with typical gait. Still not mature yet.

2 Pocklington's Nebercrackers Rosie Blue At Timberose ShCM. Wasn't happy today not wanting to stand or move. I had to look across when she was relaxed to see her good points. 3 Wilkinson's Wolseys Fudge.

LB (5, 2)

1 Pocklington's Timberose Rhapsody In Blue ShCM. Attractive young bitch with nice head and eye. Good topline and tailset. Her coat was a bit long and wild today. Moved ok.

2 Middlebrook's Poppyblu Elara. Lovely girl with good quarters fore and aft. Coat with colour and texture. Unfortunately played her handler up today and didn't move as well as she can.

3 Meyer's Tcheria She's Cheeky.

OB (5, 1)

1 Mayer's Miteymidgets Universal At Tcheria. A nice surprise to meet this bitch on form. Long lean head, good length of neck and well placed shoulders. Overall a balanced girl with a strong rear that moved well. Deserved CC.

2 Bannister's Miteymidgets Love In Bloom JW. Another bitch from the same mould so the same could apply as first. She excelled in substance, depth of chest, outline and movement. Res CC.

3 Lawrie's Miteymidgets Endless Love.

GCB (1)

1 Pocklington's Timberose Rhapsody In Blue.
