BEDLINGTON JUDGE EAST OF ENGLAND 19

My thanks to the East of England Committee for inviting me to judge the Bedlingtons Terriers at this show and thank you to my stewards for looking after me. Finally, my thanks to the exhibitors for allowing me to go over their dogs and for their graciousness in accepting my decisions, in some classes the decisions were very close.

JD (3)

1 Baldwin’s Woolytop The Piper’s Son. This young dog shows real promise and was full of confidence, good head (deep and narrow) good depth of chest, length to height in body, has a gentle arch over loin. Moved really well. RBOS.

2 Baldwin’s Woolytop Stand And Deliver. Another nice youngster from this kennel, has good bone and he showed good movement. However, preferred the head of first in this class.

3 Kinns’ Kinnuva Summer Pearl.

LD (1)

1 Kinns’ Kinnuva Dark Sleekster. Good strong head with low set ears in good coat.Well placed shoulders and held topline fairly well, a little short in the leg for me but still moved well.

OD (5, 1)

What a lovely class full of quality. Decisions I made today could change on another occasion.

1 Bannister’s Miteymidges English Dreams ShCM. First thing I noticed was his good dark linty coat. Deep chest, pasterns long and definite tuck-up. Movement light. Head well proportioned with no stop, low set ears and well filled under the dark eye.In good coat. BOS.

2 Woolytop The Wherryman ShCM. Have always liked this young dog and although he is up to size is really well balanced. Has a well defined head with an intelligent dark eye and low set ears. In good coat and moved with correct spring of movement. Just felt that he wasn’t putting it all in today. The placements could change so easily on another day.

3 Baldwin’s Ch Woolytop The One And Only JW ShCM. Another nice dog from this kennel.

JB (3)

1 Owen’s Bisbee Razzle Dazzle. Really like this young liver girl. Moved with such confidence, in good coat, nice pear shaped head, low set ears and good bite, a flat rib, balanced throughout, correct height to length. Nice arch over loin, well set tail carried correctly. I was pleased to give her BB and BOB.

2 Kinns’ Kinnuva Hawaiian Velvet. In good dark coat. Nice head with good bite, well muscled, correct in size.

3 Martin’s Grace Iz Moskovskoy Bemty. A very feminine young lady.

OB (2)

1 Bannister’s Ch Mintymidgets Going Global JW ShCM. Was in good dark coat which was also slightly harsh to the touch, nice head, lovely big teeth, good dark eye, well set ears, pasterns long and with a gentle slope, good deep chest, moved really well. Just drop it a bit in the challenge. Res Best Bitch.

2 Owen’s Bisbee A Touch Of Class. Liked her size, good head with just a small amount of stop, held her topline and moved with correct spring. Nice flat rib and well placed tail. Today did not move as well as one.

VB (3, 1)

1 Godden’s Vakurblue Bacon Buttie. Moved really well, and held topline. Has a nice shaped head, good dark nose and a soft dark eye. She has just got better with her years, very pleased to hear she won the Veteran Terrier Group.

2 Bannister’s Ch Miteymidgets Hawkers Cove. Was very well presented and showed all of her attributes well and was in good coat and has a lovely head. However, today she did not move as well as I have seen her in the past.

Sp Beginner (2, 1)

1 Martin’s Grace Iz Moskovskoy Bemty. She really is a pretty girl and in this class really moved so much better than in previous one. She was far more confident. Moving with the correct light and springy pace. Her head is feminine with a gentle expression, nice dark eye and good bite. Reasonable tuck-up. Well set tail.
