BEDLINGTON JUDGE LKA 13

Bedlington Terriers

I enjoyed judging the Bedlingtons & thank you to all the exhibitors for a lovely entry. Thank you also to my very efficient stewards who kept things running very smoothly & enabled us to keep good time.

MPD (4,2a)

1 Wiggan’s Gnarklem Blue Eyed Boy at Lodhainn, this baby won the class on outline & movement. He is plenty big enough for his age but put in a good performance & went well

2 McAllister’s Nebercrackers Blue Diamond, a bit flatter in outline than the winner today but is a real baby so still has some developing to do. Lovely type.

PD (3,1)

1 N Blue Diamond; 2 Harris’ Ratzwell D’artagan, promising puppy. Quite a good outline. Was a bit proud of his tail.

JD (3,1)

1 Rainsbury & Hamilton’s Jetsway Chaser, very promising young man. Good in head, OK in outline, good rear & lovely feet. I loved the coat colour & texture. Well turned out & won the class with a bit to spare. Well presented;

2 McCourt’s Burmington Hush A Bye,nice sort & moved OK. Has a bit of developing to do.

PGD (3)

1 J Chaser;

2 Smith’s Vakurblue Eggie Bread, nice outline standing & on the move with OK tail carriage. Would prefer a little bit more substance.

LD (4)

1 Davies’ Honeymist Sunny Delight, beautifully presented boy, lovely head, good outline, good rear. Is maturing well & should finish really good;

2 Murby & Heraty’s Tasseltabs Timber, nice type & OK in outline, could not match the movement of 1.

OD (8)

Lovely class to judge with quality in depth. Certainly gave me food for thought.

1 Cumming’s Ch Rocabec Definitely Maybe, just my sort, caught my eye as soon as he entered the ring & did not disappoint on closer examination. Lovely make & shape, super moving dog & showed with some animation, good in front & rear, well trimmed & presented. Not the biggest boy but ticked most of the boxes for me. CC & BOB;

2 Kiernan & Liu’s Ch Bisbee Ikatcher at Kierlander, another lovely boy, not a hair out of place, masculine, great head, good outline. Not quite the movement or tail carriage of the winner but was close up. He was pushed hard by the third placed boy as well. RCC;

3 Owen’s Ch Bisbee Beachcomber.

VD (1)

1 Caines’ Burmington And Me Too, 9 years old, in good condition, OK in head & moved OK.

GCD (1)

1 Honey’s Burbeach Sunlight, 3rd in the post graduate class & still needs to do a bit of maturing. Well handled.

MPB (2)

1 Fletcher & Lawson’s Maevani To The Moon And Back, just a baby but delightful, lovely colour to her coat, nice size for her age, liked her outline & movement & this took her through to a well deserved BP award;

2 Morris’ Bluemazzu Ballerina, nice sort, good outline.

PB (1)

1 Breeze’s Firey Sharrona Violet, nice coat & colour, flattened a little on the move, feminine, promising.

JB (4)

1 Davies’ Honeymist Posh Dreamz, possibly the one I would have taken home. Lovely young girl, good size, good proportions, strong head yet retaining femininity, good mover, nice outline on the move & standing. Should have a very bright future indeed. RCC;

2 Fletcher & Lawson’s Aireview Blue Flame for Maevani, pushed hard, but not quite the substance or finish of the winner, nice out & back & is very promising;

3 Kinns’ Burmington Reet Petite at Kinnuva.

PGB (8,2)

1 A Blue Flame for M;

2 Godden’s Vakurblue Bacon Buttie, presents a good outline, nice headed girl, needs a bit more time to finish;

3 Beesley’s Lowbrook Little China Girl at Flintstor.

LB (6,1)

1 McNally’s Aireview Dancing Queen at Conekesheved, took my eye when she came in & had some presence. Not the smallest but everything in proportion, a touch close behind but a quality girl;

2 Harris’ Ratzwell Dolly Mixture, workmanlike sort, nice coat with correct texture & moves well. OK in outline. Pushed hard for 1st place;

3 Godden’s Seaofiron Where Angels Play.

OB (10,3)

I enjoyed this open class as much as open dog. Again it gave me plenty to think about with quality down the line. 1 Bannister’s Ch Miteymidgets Look Of Love, presents a lovely outline which caught my eye on first inspection, not overdone in any way, feminine but still workmanlike, good mover who covers quite a bit of ground, lovely jacket with some colour to it. The more I looked the more I liked her. Well deserved CC;

2 Davies’ Ch Honeymist Crazy Rhythm, different type to 1st, more glamorous, is very eyecatching, perhaps not quite as positive on the move as the winner. Ended up in a battle with her kennel mate for the RCC but certainly not disgraced;

3 McNally’s Aireview Cristal Blue.

VB (4,1)

1 Bannister’s Ch Miteymidgets Myaquila, 11 years old & in great form, good condition, well presented, still has a good shape. BV;

2 Godden’s Makems Honky Tonk Woman, 7 years, not quite the lovely proportions of the winner. In good nick;

3 Yearley’s Lowbrook Lookin For Trouble.

GCB (3,1)

1 Fielding’s Burbeach Starlight, 4th in post grad, nice coated girl & not a bad size;

2 Pocklington’s Nebercrackers Rosie Blue, was also from post grad class. Not as confident as the winner.
