LKA 23 Judge

BEDLINGTON LKA 23 Judge: Mrs Lesley Butler (Yarbach) BEDLINGTON JUDGE LKA 23 My thanks to the committee, stewards and exhibitors. The dogs didn’t seem to like the hall and floor. I didn’t get the best out of the dogs as I have seen them from the ringside at other shows. The age old problems seem to still be here. Dogs moving like fox terriers instead of the slower paced lithe dog looking like they are floating on air. Ears should be thin fine laying close to the head not small thick and carried above the head. Topline a rise over the loin and not in the middle of their backs those are camel backed or wheel backs and undesirable. 1 Pederson, Silverkinn Skyfall of Topaz, with nice head and eye leading to good shoulders. Preferred front on this boy but both need lots of time to grow on. 2 McNally, Conesheved Out of the Blue, shows promise as 1 but a bit thinner and needs a fair amount of time. He has a nice head length and good outline. 1 Martin Impey, Silverkinn Spy Aston Martin, lovely head, eye and expression. Excellent coat with blue jacket and white extremities. Good legs, sloping pasterns, hare feet just needs to drop in chest. Moved well. 2 Dobson, Devleigh Blue Thunder, this young man too needs to drop in chest. A bit stretched on the stand but looked right on the move. Needs to try letting him walk into his stand don’t force him. Looked like his coat was coming back. 1 Blakey, Little Bristle Charmer, with a nice length of head, beyond that he becomes a different type with the shorter legs and longer body. Good rump, stifles and muscle tone. Moved ok. 1 Nunn, Mactufts Brave Man’s Game, very unsettled but just 14 months old and should have been in junior. Needs more training to fulfill his potential. Moved ok. 1 Poultney, Jobanker Rocky Road, well grown liver with a good head, long, lean and strong jaw. Correct topline and tail set on the stand and moving. Coat not bad for a liver. 2 Kinns, Kinnuva Summer Pearl, nice type but not enjoying himself today. Liked his head, neck, quarters fore and aft but he flattened his topline on the move. 1 Oxbury & Tonner, Ch Tunman Full Throttle at Jukenblu, lovely blue boy with good jacket both in colour and to the texture. Like his size, his head and eye. Correct neck, shoulders and upper arm nicely angulated. Nothing exaggerated at all. Excels in true Bedlington movement. By far the best male in the ring at this present time CC BOS. 2 Jackson, Woolytop the Marshman at Padztar, blue dog with a clean outline. Good front, deep flat ribs and excellent hindquarters. Moved well. Res CC. 3 Godden, Ozbreeze Surprise of the Day at Vakurblue. 1 Kinns, Kinnuva Siam Jewel, 9 ½ elegant lady with a pretty head and eye. Decent front, solid body and good tuck up. Nice turn of stifle to low hocks. Best topline won her the class. Her movement was the best of the three today. 2 Oxbury & Tonner, Miteymidgets Nations Unite at Jukenblu ShCM VW, one I have seen go much better before but flattened her topline today. She didn’t enjoy her day out. Nice head and eye, good length of body. Moved ok. 3 Ross, Major Tufts at Mactufts. 1 Scott, Mickleview Silent Storm, beautiful little girl very young, but has time, good coat in colour. Overall lovely in outline and underline. Pretty head and eye. Needs to drop in chest to finish the picture. Moved well for one so young. 2 Chester, Squidylannes Dreamer, nice little girl with a solid body and muscular for one so young. I hope she grows on a bit and her head hair clears to white to finish the picture. 3 Long, Dunkereswell Pepper Dash. 1 Harris & Cleaver, Ratzwell Jolly Jubilee, maturing nicely. Lovely head and eye, good teeth and strong in jaw. Just finished her season so not quite herself but she moved ok. 1 Ross, Raphelyans Unzip To Roisins at Mactufts, nice bitch with lovely coat of colour, texture and white extremities. Correct topline and tail set moved well. I would like a bit more of her. 2 Mitchell, Paceypaws Phillipa, didn’t seem to settle for a while. Good neck, shoulders and rear angulation. Flattened on the stand but better on the move. 3 Long, Dunkerswell Pepper Run. 1 Scott, Janmark Je Ne Sais Pas avec Mickleview JW, attractive young lady needs a bit more time to finish. Good length of head, neck and quarters fore and aft. Correct rise over the loin. Moved well. 2 Ross, Mactufts Nanny Mcphee, liver a bit pale at the moment but has guard hairs so will come soon. She has substance, good shoulders and upper arm. Well off for stifle which she used on the move. 3 Pedersen, Trurich Summer Dream. 1 MacNally, Ch Conekesheved Too Shy JW, a nice bitch to go over lovely head and eye. Good front, flat ribs and deep brisket. Moved beautifully a slower mincing gait as though she is floating on air the way she should. Super presentation and handling to the CC. BOB and delighted to watch her go Group 2. 2 Baldwin, Woolytop Leading Lady, another nice bitch although coat not at its best, guard hairs in it so on the up. Good shoulders, upper arm, legs and hare feet. Moved freely to Res CC. 3 Moore & Chudleigh, Devleigh Wild Child. 1 Mitchell, Paceypaws Patricia, alone but worth her placing. Looked better on the move, good picture overall but not enjoying it today. |
