BEDLINGTON JUDGE NATIONAL TERRIER 13

Bedlington Terriers

After a terrible winter it was pleasant to get out into some bright sunshine, the snow had almost gone but the weather conditions over the winter were reflected in the condition of the dogs. Quite a lot were out of coat & muscletone was lacking in quite a lot but generally the presentation was excellent.

MPD (1)

1 Rainsbury & Hamilton’s Jetsway Chaser, well proportioned in puppy coat, correct head with clean scissor bite, good length of neck, well placed shoulders producing a correct front, no signs of cracked pads, roach well placed over the loin & a good depth of chest, rear angulation very good, straight hocks, moved well & held topline, one to watch for the future. BP.

PD (1)

1 McCourt’s Burmington Hush A Bye, liver dog, up to size, nice head with plenty of foreface, good bite, good front roach a little forward. Coat needs to improve. Hocks turning a little, movement erratic but still a puppy.

JD (1)

1 Avery’s Miteymidgets Power Of Love, little timid to start with, well proportioned good foreface & bite, good topline on the move. Needs to muscle up a bit. Good angulation & straight hocks, moved well.

PGD (3)

1 Smith’s Vakurblue Eggie Bread, correct shaped head with plenty of foreface, good eye well placed, nice bite, big clean teeth, nice length of neck, shoulders a bit spread needs to tighten up. Falls away at the backend & the hocks turn. Erratic movement for the handler. Coat should be crisper. Stands alone in first place.

LD (11)

Good class but with variation in outline & size.

1 Brady & Carter’s Tcheria Shenanigans, well coloured blue coat of good texture, correct size & drew my attention when first moving, good head & foreface, correct bite with first class teeth, good length of neck from well placed shoulders, lovely topline, excellent rear angulation showed in his movement which contributed to his placing;

2 Scorah-Wiles’ Isotops Bumblebee from Rivendown, good outline up to size, moved well, good bite with clean teeth, correct shaped head, everything as it should be. Just lacked sparkle & some colour;

3 Graham’s Ruffsfurze Kazan, worth a mention in a class of good dogs.

OD (6)

1 Kiernan & Liu’s Ch Bisbee Ikatcher at Kierlander, presentation immaculate as always from this owner, worthy winner all there & in the right places, coat texture good as is body colour furnishings a standard to be aimed for, good depth of chest, moved well, at one with his handler. CC & BOB;

2 Ames’ Sharnor Faithful Falcon, good blue dog, moved well, in good condition, nice head with good bite & foreface. RCC;

3 Cumming’s Ch Rocabec Definitely Maybe.

MPB (5)

1 Cumming’s Honeymist Hot Spice at Rocabec, liver bitch with correct coloured eye, a pleasure to see something that is perfectly correct, well groomed. Livers seem to avoid the tendency to feel a bit wiry but a bit soft, a puppy coat & bad weather outdoors do not help, some good weather & it should improve. Moved well when settled down. BPB;

2 Davies’ Honeymist Posh Dreamz, good blue coat, nice size, leveller on the back when standing but improved on the move, will keep a look out for her in the future.

PB (4)

1 McNally’s Aireview Dancing Queen at Conekesheved, stands a little level but improves on the move, outline at its best when not stretched out. Nice sized blue bitch, good head, plenty of foreface, good movement;

2 Worrall’s Bluesmurf Glory Daze, alert blue bitch, moved with purpose, good bite & teeth, correct shaped head, good outline, up to size. Needs some body.

JB (3)

1 Mayers’ Toolbox Helping Hand for Tcheria, stands well & moves with purpose, in between coats, chewed ears is not in the Standard. Head OK but would have preferred a bit more foreface. Good angulation & reasonably straight hocks, moved well;

2 Pocklington’s Nebercrackers Rosie Blue, placed on maturity, lacks colour. Well proportioned, good head & bite, moved well;

3 Lawrie’s Miteymidgets Endless Love.

NB (1)

1 W/d;

2 Cleaver’s Tredomen Sue The Song of Jobanker, dark blue, short of coat, moved erratically. First show, her bite lost her a place.

PGB (5)

1 Mayers’ Tcheria Flibbertigibbet, good proportions, stands well, good angulation & coat, correct in eye, jaw, mouth & ear, front very good, well placed shoulders, moved well as a well put together dog will do;

2 Owen’s Doehey My Hearts Content by Bisbee, well proportioned, good foreface, correct shaped head, good topline, well placed shoulders, outline excellent, moved well, will have a good future.

LB (13)

1 Lacey’s Bowlingbrook Trick Or Treat, standing proud in her dark blue jacket, moves off with purpose, showing off & you can’t ignore her, good correct shaped head, excellent bite, well placed shoulders, good topline & angulation, as Ian would say not overdone, moved well;

2 Morrice’s Mollora Poetry In Motion, another in good coat, a near thing for 1st place, good head with good foreface, jaw & bite, good topline held on the move. Front action a little loose. Good bitch in good company.

OB (13)

An excellent entry of 13 with one absent, a further look at the Standard & the guidelines from the Kennel Club refresh the brain & we resume on the first look we have quality dogs in the ring with variations.

1 Bannister’s Miteymidgets Look Of Love, good colour & outline, moves with purpose, correct shaped head & jaw, correct bite with big clean teeth, good length of neck, well placed shoulders, correct front, good topline with depth of chest, flat ribs & good tuck-up, correct angulation & straight hocks, moved well in sync with her handler. CC;

2 Owen’s Bisbee Belle Inni, similar when viewed in isolation but different when compared, 1 & 2 were competing for the top place, a final movement & examination separated them. RCC;

3 Yearley’s Ch Gnejnabay Genegenie Gal at Lowbrook.
