BEDLINGTON PAIGNTON 11 Judge: Mrs Patsy Hollings BEDLINGTON JUDGE PAIGNTON 11 Bedlington Terriers I saw Paul at Leeds & realize why he would not be able to fulfil this appointment. Hope you are soon feeling better. A pleasure to judge these breeds. PD (1) 1 Bouse’s Tredomen Big Floyd, 11 months, confident chap, not at all phased in this echoing hall. Pleasing head with well rounded skull, dry lips with good mouth & strength in under jaw. Tidy front, ribs lead well back, decent over croup to low set on of tail. Needs to finish behind & coat. JD (1) 1 Ames’ Sharnor Faithful Falcon, this 18 months is smart & typical in appearance & very satisfying hands on. His head is narrow but not weak, skull rounded with line from occiput to nose continuing well. Clean cheeks, ears low & thin & enhancing expression from small dark eye. Stands well in front with width at of chest, well padded feet, topline rises over strong loin with width of croup. Moved with smooth easy true action, coat is of correct texture. RCC. PGD (0). LD (2) 1 Jones’ Pengerrig Unique, this fellow is balanced & well put together, his head displays masculine clean lines, dark gentle yet knowing expression. Impressive front with width to chest, balanced bone, good feet correctly placed giving the impression of the ‘horseshoe’ appearance. Ribs deep & rise in symmetry with loin to give correct tuck. Loin just needs to develop a little, which lost him a higher honour; 2 Hyde’s Gnejnabay Chokko Pops, super personality on this chap, not the front or chest of 1 therefore not the neckline. Has good width of rump & well developed quarters, confident mover. OD (1) 1 Walshaw’s Ch Janmark Blue Encounter, mature, masculine & full of quality. Loved his head, round narrow skull, good filling, strength in jaw containing strong white teeth, dry lips & good under jaw. Ear size & placement just right, has length & strength of neck, fitting well into shoulders which are clean fitting & angulated to allow neat fitting of elbow, straight legs to well padded feet, which stand closer together than at elbow forming the required shape viewed from the front. Has depth & width of chest, long flat ribs & rise over the loin to low tailset. All this coupled with short hock & quality muscling on quarters adds up to lithe true easy action. CC & BOB. PB (1) 1 Lacey’s Bowlingbrook Trick Or Treat, this 11 months, really took my eye, what a beautifully balanced, composed young lady with each part fitting neatly providing such a typical & stylish outline. In excellent condition & muscle tone, her coat is the linty texture & well prepared, she really has style on the move head up light & active. The only thing I would want different right now is her nails a little shorter. BP. JB (0). PGB (2) 1 Mayer’s Tcheria Tiddlywink, shapely with smooth flowing outline, correct height to length ratio. Stands on good legs & padded feet, steady holding her shape on the move, could be a touch better upper arm; 2 Kinn’s Burmington Truly Blue, just a little stuffy & a touch more leg would give her more elegance. In good body, sound quarters, decent bone, feet a little flat. LB (2) Two real quality girls, both have an abundance of attributes, both on top form, concentration on my part had to be exacting to split them. 1 Walshaw’s Janmark Justin Time, had the edge coming, on the move. While she has such femininity, she is strong, correctly boned & mature without cloddy ness. Lovely outline, stands on the best of feet, grand; 2 Ames’s Sharnor Emerald Electra, well off for body but not overdone. Quality bone & muscling, good coat texture, prepared to advantage is the icing on the cake. OB (4) 1 Walshaw’s Janmark Misty Horizons, well this kennel certainly had a good day. I notice in the catalogue this bitch is a younger sibling of my DCC. She just had it all, in full bloom. Feminine with body & balance, excellent legs & padded feet, she just gaited so smoothly, no effort, confirming her construction. Skull rounded, dark eye, sound gentle expression, temperament calm but with character. CC, her second, should easily gain her third; 2 Bannister’s Miteymidgets Myaquila, 9 years but she defies this age completely. Fabulous big clean teeth housed in a strong jaw, her head is clean & straight right down to her nose with good filling & small, bright well set eye. She is so sound full of type & balance & moves with easy ground covering gait. RCC, was told by her handler she is waiting her third, even at this age should achieve this, hope so it is deserved; 3 Hyde’s Gnejnabay Zena of Bugibba. PATSY HOLLINGS |
