BEDLINGTON THREE COUNTIES 23 Judge: Mr T Ball JD (1) 1. Long’s Travellerways Godwin. 12 mth old blue. Clean neck of good length, nice depth to chest, correct ribbing and pleasing topline with arch over the loin. Although his tail is of good length, overall silhouette is let down by rather high tail carriage. Balanced head with narrow skull, correct stop, eyes of good size and colour and thin ears set on low. He stands correctly in front on good feet and is muscular throughout. Moving well on the go around with light springy action, is true when going away and ok coming towards. Well handled. PGD (1,0) 1. Bannister’s Miteymidgets Modern Love. 18 mth old blue who appealed for overall type, size and balance and was so good to go over. He presented a typical outline with neck of good length, correct topline with arch over the loin leading to sloping croup and tail set on low and of good length and carriage. Deep brisket, correcting ribbing and good underline. Masculine head, narrow and well proportioned, excellent stop, lovely eye and ear and scissor bite. Good angles front and rear and stands just right in front on such good feet. Moving well all through. Good coat. Best Dog. OD (2,0) 1. Offer’s Ch Woolytop The Wherryman ShCM ShCEx. Two very different boys competed in this class with this 6 yr old being my winner. I wouldn’t want him any bigger but he was pleasing to go over. Long neck, good depth to chest, correct ribbing, arch over the loin, good croup and tail correct for length, set and carriage. Quality head and expression; narrow skull of good depth, correct stop, eyes of good size, shape and colour, ears set on low and scissor bite with lovely big teeth. He stands well naturally, has good feet and moved pretty well all through. Good coat and presentation. 2. Bannister’s Miteymidgets New Vision JW. While the winner was a touch bigger, I felt this 16 mth old blue could use a little more size for a male. However, he too was good to go over and he presented a nicely balanced outline with neck of good length, correct topline with arch over the loin, good croup and tail of correct set and carriage but a fraction shorter. Most attractive head; narrow and of good depth, no apparent stop, expressive eyes, ears set on low and scissor bite. Pleasing angles front and rear and standing correctly in front and on the desired long hare feet of the breed. Moving out well with good carriage. Would like to see a touch more depth to brisket. VD (1,0) 1. Baldwin’s Ch Woolytop The One and Only JW ShCM. 9 yr old blue who pleased for size and outline. Neck of correct length to balance, good depth of chest, correct ribbing, good topline with arch over the loin, correct slope to croup leading to low set tail which is of good length and carriage. Balanced headpiece; narrow and of pleasing depth, correct stop, expressive eyes, ears set on low, good underjaw and scissor bite. Well constructed all through and standing as desired in front. Moving freely and with characteristic springy gait. Good quality coat but perhaps could have a touch more depth to colour. Reserve Best Dog. JB (1,0) 1. Mitchell’s Paceypaws Philippa. 15 mth old blue who pleased for size and femininity. Clean neck of good length, deep chest, pretty good topline but prominent vertebrae spoil, correct croup and tail good for length, set and carriage. Attractive head with narrow skull of good depth, correct stop, eyes of good colour, fine ears set on low, scissor bite and good top-knot. She stands correctly in front and hindlegs look longer than forelegs as typical for the breed. Moving pretty well on the go around, good when going away and ok when coming at you. PGB (4,0) 1. Jones’ Toolbox Yes Why Not at Squidlyannes (Imp Swe). Coming up to 3 yrs, this blue has lots to like. Feminine throughout with a good length of neck, pleasing rib, correct topline with arch over the loin, good croup and tail just right for length, set and carriage. Attractive head and expression with narrow skull of good depth, silky top-knot of good colour, no apparent stop, eyes of good colour, fine ears which are set on low and scissor bite. Pleasing angles front and rear and standing just right in front on good feet. Moving freely and well handled. Would just like to see a touch more depth to chest. 2. Mitchell’s Paceypaws Patricia. 3 yr old blue who presented a balanced outline with clean neck of good length, acceptable topline, good depth of chest with pleasing rib and sloping croup leading to low set tail which she carries correctly. Feminine headpiece with narrow skull, relatively small eyes of good colour, ears set on low, scissor bite and good underjaw. Standing on long hare feet. Moves ok. 3. Bannister’s Miteymidgets New Variant OB (5,0) 1. McNally’s Ch Conekesheved Too Shy JW. Coming up to 2 yrs, this blue was so good to go over and really came into her own on the move. Quality headpiece with desired narrowness to skull and good depth, no apparent stop, eyes of correct size and good colour which are well filled below, fine ears set on low, good underjaw and scissor bite. Neck of good length, deep brisket with correct ribbing, arch over the loin, good croup and tail set on low and correctly carried. Pleasing angles and stands correct in front on such good feet. One of the best coats here today and showing good depth of colour with correct top-knot and good pigmentation throughout. Moving freely with desired springiness of the breed. Best Bitch & BOB. 2. Baldwin’s Woolytop Leading Lady. 3 yr old blue who is quite different to the winner but another who appealed. She pleased for size and presented a well balanced outline with clean neck of good length, nice depth to brisket, correct ribbing, good underline, arch over the loin and excellent tail for length, set and carriage. Feminine head and expression; narrow skull of good depth, correct stop for the breed, eyes of good colour, low set ears and scissor bite. Standing well naturally on good feet and well-muscled all through. Moving particularly well on the go around but not quite as good coming towards as winner. VB (1,0) 1.
