BEDLINGTON JUDGE WELKS 14

Bedlington Terriers

A good variety in exhibits, all basically sound. I enjoyed the appointment. Some of the exhibits seemed to need more drive, but the ground condition was not good. Ah I hear you say, these dogs are terriers & should cope with any ground. I agree but not to be accessed for constant movement.

PD (1)

1 Kiernan & Liu’s Sharnor High I’m Viktor at Kierlander, promising youngster, bodily pleasing to go over, very mature mentally, movement flowing & purposeful. 10 months old with a bright future. RCC & BP.

JD (0).

PGD (2)

1 Honey’s Burbeach Moonlight, balanced outline body, good to go over, pliable with good muscletone, positive movement;

2 McCourt’s Burmington Hush A Bye, leans towards the working fraternity. Needs to get bodily toned up, tail not his best feature.

LD (1) A.

OD (8)

1 Eriksson & Freeman’s Am Gr/Nord Ch Isotop’s Xceptional Friend, this exhibit shone for me on the day, up to size but everything in proportion, moving & standing, super presentation enhanced overall view. The old expression of ‘one I would like to take home’ comes to mind. CC & BOB;

2 Brady & Carter’s Tcheria Shenanigans, this boy had plenty of good points, sound construction, muscular & lithe. Did not appear to like the rough terrain (& it was awful ground);

3 Ames’ Ch Sharnor Faithful Falcon.

PB (3)

1 Ames’ Sharnor High Hopes, good exhibit to go over. For a youngster pleasing to hand & eye, ring presentation as one would expect, very good, sound mover;

2 Gillies’ Rhicullen Joy Of Patchwork, just 6 months but not fazed at all. Coat yet to change. Moved with purpose;

3 Davies’ Honeymist Posh Sugar.

JB (0).

PGB (5)

1 Kinn’s Burmington Reet Petite, this girl in super condition, just looking at her standing she was raring to go. Muscular pliable structure, coat colour & hue, in fine fettle;

2 Beesley’s Lowbrook Little China Girl at Flintstor, exhibit who had just finished her season & it did her no favours. Couple of weeks should bring her back to normal. A specimen of quality;

3 Gillies’ Rhicullen Highland Lassie.

LB (6)

1 Davies’ Posh Dreamz, well presented with non exaggerated trim. In good coat & colour, correct size, very feminine, moved with ease & grace, tail carriage spot on. CC;

2 Mayers & Bannister’s Toolbox Helping Hand for Tcheria, sound specimen, quality girl, standing & moving good. Needed to relax & enjoy;

3 Kinn’s Burmington Truly Blue.

OB (5)

1 Mayers’ Tcheria Flibbertigibbet, sound specimen, in good coat, moved positive, ring awareness good;

2 Bannister’s Miteymidgets Look Of Love, similar to 1. Good exhibit, moves at a pace (or was that the handler);

3 McNally’s Aireview Cristal Blue.
