BEDLINGTON JUDGE WINDSOR 15
BEDLINGTON TERRIER
May I take this opportunity to thank the Officers and Committee of Windsor Dog Show Society for inviting me to judge my breed, and offer CC’s for the first time at such a prestigious show. I would also like to thank the exhibitors for their entries, and was generally very pleased with the overall quality of the dogs. However, I was disappointed with the oral hygiene in some of the dogs. I was thrilled with quality of my principal winners and was hugely delighted to be able to watch my Best Of Breed winning a top quality Terrier Group under David Winsley
Veteran Dog or Bitch (2)
1st Phillips’ Ch Rathsrigg April Rose.
9 Year old bitch in tip top condition. Narrow skull with a lovely thick topknot. Very feminine bitch but nevertheless has a strong jaw. Long and tapering neck springing up well from flat sloping shoulders. In excellent coat. Good length of back to height. Moved well keeping her topline on the move.
2nd Hurley’s Ch Fralex Culibre Saphire
Smaller than 1st. Ultra feminine bitch. Narrow skull. Well filled up beneath eye. Super pigment with very dark eyes and nice black nose. Good thin ears hanging flat to cheek. Flat ribbed with deep brisket. Good topline on the move but unfortunately let herself down by “bunching up” when standing. Very well presented..
Puppy Dog (2) 1 WD
1st Mayers’ Tcheria Causing Tchaos
This young dog is 8 months old. Slightly nervous in the ring, but I do believe that once he gets increases his confidence, he will certainly be one to watch. I would not like to see him get any bigger. He is a super dog with a great head and strong jaw and teeth. Good strong neck on good shoulders. Lovely coat. Already has a good deep chest. Excellent length of body. Moved well once he settled down.
Junior Dog (1)
1st Thompsons Jetsway Bollinger
In excellent coat. Very nice expression. Lovely white head and dark pigment. Well placed thin ears flat against the face. Good length of neck with head carried high. Flat ribbed with a deep brisket. Very good topline. Moved well. A very balanced little dog but I would have preferred slightly more of him.
Post Graduate Dog (4)
1st Butlers’ Yarbach Federers Final
This boy is definitely one to watch. Up to size but very well balanced. Strong masculine head and jaw. Good size teeth. In excellent coat and dark pigmentation. Very deep chest. Excellent length of back. Fabulous shoulders. Moved well keeping his topline. Was certainly considered for the reserve CC but felt he needed a little more maturity.
2nd Honey’s Burbeach Sunlight
Smaller than 1st but nicely put together. Showed beautifully today. Dark eyes and thin ears. Very well placed shoulders with his front legs tucked right in underneath his withers. Deep chest. Would have preferred more length of back. In good coat.
Limit Dog (1)
1st Pykhtar’s L’end Show Metti Surprise at Glare
An honour to have the opportunity to judge such a fabulous dog! So graceful and yet so strong and muscular. A coat on him like no other, extremely thick and linty. A strong masculine head with very large white teeth. A dark eye and nostril. Very dark pigment. Good thin ears lying flat to cheek. Good length of neck on extremely well placed shoulders. Very deep chest with brisket down to his elbows. Correct tail set and carried correctly on the move. His movement light and springy in slower paces but when in full stride moved with such reach and drive. Everything about him flowed. Extremely well presented and shown. BOB and Group 1.
Open Dog (4)
1st Cumming’s Ch Rocabec Definitely Maybe
This is another super dog. He absolutely loved the ring. Very well presented and shown. Good head with thick nearly white silky topknot. Dark eye and super expression. Well placed ears. Long neck on well placed shoulders. Deep chest with flat ribs. Good position of arch over the loin. A very balanced dog who moved with purpose. A worthy champion. RCC
2nd Graham’s Ruffsfurze Kazan
Bigger dog than first. Strong head with big teeth. Nice dark eye and nose. Well placed shoulders. Deep brisket. The coat although not in the best of colour was certainly a very good texture. Good length of back. Slightly longer in coupling than I would like. Lost his topline in the stack.
Puppy Bitch (2)
These two 7 month old puppies are litter sisters and there was very little between them.
1st Bannisters Miteymidgets All My Love.
Very feminine puppy. Nice neck on flat sloping shoulders. Great length of body but not out of proportion. Flat ribs. Moderate turn of stifle. Moved with confidence. Certainly one to watch. BP
2nd Miteymidgets Love in Bloom.
Smaller than her sister. Long neck springing up well from shoulders. Correct head carriage. Flat ribs. Well muscled. Oozed confidence. Moved well. Also a very nice puppy.
Junior Bitch (5) 1a
1st Bannisters Going Global
This is a super little bitch. Profuse white silky topknot. Very feminine with sweet expression. Would have preferred a slightly longer foreface. Long neck. Good shoulders. Flat ribs. Well proportioned. Moved very well.
2nd Phillips’ Jetsway Fleur of Rathsrigg
Smaller and a different type to 1st but a nice bitch. Dark eye, nose and pigment. A good quality coat. Nice flat ribs. Has a correct rise over the loin. This is a very fit little girl. Good front movement.
Post Graduate Bitch (6)
1st Hurley’s L’end Show Melissa Blue Flower at Fralex
Very strong boned but very feminine nevertheless. Fabulous thick white silky topknot. Jaw long and tapering. Black eyes and nose. Nostrils large and well defined. Ears set on low and hanging flat to her cheeks. Extremely large, strong teeth with a perfect scissor bite. Fabulous neck and carried head high. Fabulous front to this bitch. Her coat is extremely thick and linty standing well out from her skin. Deep brisket with her rise over the loin. Moved well. BCC
2nd Honeymist’s Posh Sugar
Smaller than 1st. Very feminine. Would have preferred slightly more length of foreface. Nice eye and dark brown nose. Her coat is a very rich colour at the moment. Good neck with great head carriage. Deep chest with rise over loin. Very well proportioned. Kept her topline on the move. Fabulous hindquarters.
Limit (5) 1a
1st Garbutt’s Aireview Xmas Star
Feminine bitch with a narrow skull. She has a very long foreface with a strong jaw. Good scissor bite. Good neck placed on fabulous shoulders. Her front legs are tucked well under her below the withers. Flat ribs, deep chest through brisket. The highest point of her arch is in the correct place above the loin. Good length of back.
2nd Kinns’ Burmington Reet Petite at Kinnuva
This little liver girl looked super today. She was very well presented and was shown well. Smaller than 1st. Nice head. Good shoulders. Deep chest. Good rise over loin. Excellent colour and texture of coat. Extremely well muscled.
Open (7) 1a
1st Walshaw Janmark Jkay JW ShCM
A super little bitch. Lithe and muscular. Loved her expression. Well filled up beneath her eye with strong jaw. Good teeth with an excellent scissor bite. Fantastic shoulders. Deep chest. Flat ribs. Rise over the loin. Very well proportioned. I felt that her front movement let her down today, nevertheless, worthy of her RCC.
2nd Bannisters Look of Love
This is also a very good bitch. A worthy champion. Nice head. Small dark eyes. Moderate sized ears hanging flat to her check. Good Scissor bite. Long neck springing up from good shoulders carrying her head high. Excellent pigment and coat in excellent condition. Would have preferred a little more depth of chest. Long back. Well proportioned.
