VD (1,0)

1. Read’s Chintaku Boris at Roxambor ShCM VW. 9 yr shown in firm hard condition. Larger lad with moderate length of leg and correct topline. Ribcage extends well back and firm, muscular loin. He stands nice and straight in front on small feet but pads could be thicker. Good eye for shape and colour, correct dentition but a tad longer in muzzle. Moving well enough fore and aft but would like to see more extension and drive on the go around. Harsh jacket and nice thick pelt.

MPD (2,0)

1. Parsons’ Arunmere Midnight Cowboy. 7 mth old who was a comfortable winner in this class. He pleased in outline with neck of moderate length, level topline, correct ribbing, good croup and tail of correct set and carriage. Nicely proportioned head with good expression; dark eyes, decent ears and strong muzzle. Pleasing angles front and rear, standing straight in front. Good pelt and fair coat texture. Moving well in profile and when viewed from the rear but needs to tighten in front.

2. Cox’s Grand Boy. 8 mth old who needs to gain confidence. Masculine headpiece with very nice eye, short strong muzzle and correct dentition. Neck of moderate length, firm topline and fair croup. Correct ribbing with strong loins. Standing rather untidy in front which reflects on the move but moves out well in profile and true when going away.

PD (2,0)

1. Smith’s Emblehope Thunder Bay. 9 mth old who won this class with some room to spare and he has lots to like. Neck of correct length to balance, good topline and croup, chest of good depth and ribs extend well back, firm loin and tail of good set. Pleasing head with excellent eye, good ear, short strong muzzle and correct dentition. Small feet with nice thick pads. Good pelt and pretty good coat texture. Moving well on the go around and nice and firm behind. Needs to tighten in front. Well presented.

2. Windsor-Hichens & Lee’s Ankietaz One Two. 10 mth old with moderate length of neck and chest of good depth. Rather plain in expression compared to winner but he has a good eye and correct dentition. Firm rear which good angles. Decent pelt but coat lacking texture right now. Could not match action of winner on the go around but true when going away.

JD (1,0)

1. Haydon’s Earthtaw Making The Day. This 14 mth old was lovely to go over and shown to advantage. He presented a good outline with neck of moderate length, firm topline, good depth to chest, correct croup and tail good for both set and carriage. Masculine head and expression with nice eye and ear, strong muzzle and good dentition. He stands straight in front on small, tight feet and pads are thick enough. Well made hindquarters with correct turn of stifle. Good pelt and nice harsh jacket. Moving soundly all through.

YD (3,0)

1. Anscombe’s Kevrah Orion Seeking Orangebox (Imp USA). 18 mth old who won this class with ease. He scored in outline, was good to go over and soundly constructed. Neck of moderate length, excellent topline and croup and tail good for set and carriage but just a tad longer. Attractive head with good proportions, excellent eye and ear, strong muzzle and correct dentition. Narrow throughout with good depth to chest, ribbed well back and muscular loin. Lacking coat right now and therefore with little texture. Moving true on the down and back and so very well handled. Reserve Best Dog.

2. Hillman’s Botterox Chaos. 22 mth old lad who is quite different to the winner. Dark expressive eye, strong muzzle and correct scissor bite. Neck of good length, firm topline, croup not that of winner but better length of tail. Ribcage narrow and extending well back and nice firm loin. He could stand tidier in front and this shows up on the move but he gaits well when viewed in profile and is true going away. Fair coat texture and pelt.

3. Yates & Gooding’s Penarkwood Dennis

ND (1,0)

1. Wills’ Mansergh History of Art. 16 mth old with a super temperament and so very well handled. Neck of good length to balance and firm topline, ribbed back and tail of pretty good set. Rather refined all through and somewhat lacking in breadth of skull. Dark expressive eyes, ears of good size and set and correct dentition. He stands straight in front on good feet with thick pads. Stripped out right now and pelt could be thicker. Moving well on the go around and when going away but another who could be better in front.

GD (3,0)

1. Bevan’s Prince Rainbow Blue. This 3 yr old boy was the best to go over in what was a rather disappointing class. He scored in neck, topline and croup and was correct for both depth of chest and spring of rib. Tail longer than would like to see. Good eye and ear but a fraction longer in muzzle than preferred. Pleasing angles and moving well in profile and when going away and good enough in front. Nice small feet with thick pads. Harsh jacket and good pelt.

2. Haugh’s Skyeisla Blue Reflection. 2 yr old who presented a pretty good outline with moderate length of neck, firm topline and croup and tail of correct length and set. Moderately broad skull, nice dark eye and good dentition but not quite expression I was looking for. Could not match the profile action of winner.

3. Hillman’s Botterox Chaos

1. Small’s Howthwaite Gentil Duke at Tilmoray. 2 yr old who pleased in outline with neck of good length to balance, firm level topline, good depth to chest and tail of good set. Ribcage extends well back and he’s narrow throughout. Nicely proportioned head with good eye and ear and correct dentition. He stands nice and straight in front on small, tight feet but pads could be thicker. Good texture to jacket with close undercoat. Moving well enough on the go around. Would like to see more thickness to pelt.

OD (3,0)

1. Holmes’ Ir Ch Barnby Caramel Wafer at Bimandi JW ShCM. 7 yr old who was so good to over and shown in first class order. Neck of moderate length, firm topline, good depth to chest, ribcage extending well back, strong loin, correct croup and tail just right for set and carriage. Most attractive head and expression with moderate breadth of skull, very nice eye and ear, short strong muzzle and correct dentition. He stands straight in front but is perhaps just a tad broader in chest than the ideal, small feet with very good pads and firm rear with good turn of stifle. Moving so well in profile and when going away and good enough when coming at you. Harsh jacket with nice thickness to pelt. Best Dog.

2. Hughes’ Chatmoss Bullet Tooth Tony JW. 6 yr old dog who appealed for outline and overall balance. Moderate length of neck, level topline, good depth to chest, strong loin, good croup and tail of correct set. Nice and narrow with ribcage extending well back. Pleasing head with good eye and ear but winner had the edge in expression. He stands straight in front on small, tight feet but pads could be thicker. Moving so well in profile with good carriage, true when going away but front not quite that of 1. Fair coat texture.

3. Freeman’s Cedarhill Front of House

SBD/B (4,0)

1. Nettle’s Orangebox A Winged Victory for Onziemehurst. 19 mth bitch who was an easy winner in this class for me. I thought her a good type and she is so well balanced and good to go over. Neck of moderate length, level topline, deep chest, good croup and tail set and carried correctly. She is well constructed with good angles front and rear, standing straight in front on excellent feet and nice and firm behind. Feminine expression with head of good proportions, very nice eye and ear and short strong muzzle. Nice thick pelt and excellent coat texture. Moving true with good carriage. Best Special Beginners.

2. Cox’s Bostontime Lucky. 15 mth old bitch of completely different type to the winner. Carrying more bone and somewhat broader all through but I felt she scored for overall type over the two placed behind her. Neck of good length to balance, firm topline and tail of good set. Nicely proportioned head but could not match expression of winner. Decent coat texture but would like to see more thickness to both pelt and pads. Moving true both fore and aft.

3. Taylor’s Clydebeck Tanzanite

VB (2,0)

1. Read’s Atanasova Lady Sofiya at Roxambor ShCM. 8 yr old who won here on overall type. Neck of moderate length, could be tad firmer in topline but good depth to chest, ribbed well back, strong loin and tail set on correctly. Attractive head and expression with moderate breadth to skull, good eye and ear and correct dentition. Pleasing angles front and rear and moves well on the go around. Good pelt but would like more texture to jacket. Fair feet. Well handled. Best Veteran.

2. Taylor’s Clydebeck Solitaire. 7 yr old who is soundly constructed but could not match head or expression of winner. She pleased in outline with neck of moderate length, level topline, good croup and tail of correct set. Moderate breadth to skull, dark eye but tad bolder than preferred and not strength of muzzle that I was looking for. She stands nice and straight in front on good feet and moves well enough all through.

1. Hughes’ Arunmere Annie Oakley. 7 mth old who I thought very promising. Only a baby but she scored for type and outline and was so good to go over. Excellent neck, topline, croup and tail for both set and carriage. Feminine headpiece of good proportions, excellent eye and ear and correct dentition. Nice and narrow with good length to ribcage. Super pelt and nice harsh jacket. She stands straight in front on small, tight feet with excellent pads and moves out freely with good carriage. Best Puppy.

2. Heeley’s Thistlemead First Dance. 8 mth old of different type to the winner and lacking coat but she was good to go over and soundly constructed. Nicely balanced with moderate length of neck, correct topline, pretty good croup and tail good for set, carriage and length. Nicely proportioned head with moderate breadth to skull, good eye and ear, correct mouth but just lacking furnishings right now. Straight forelegs, good feet and firm rear with good turn of stifle. Could use more thickness to pelt. Moving well but winner had the edge.

1. Tanton-Joy’s Orangebox A New Hope at Itsaso. 19 mth old who I thought quite lovely. She is such a good type, so very balanced and so good to go over given her correct construction. Moderate length of neck, firm level topline, good depth to brisket, excellent croup and tail of good set. Nice and narrow with good length to ribcage. Quality head with moderately broad skull, excellent eye and ear, short strong muzzle, correct dentition and nice furnishings. Good angles both front and rear, standing straight in front on small, tight feet with desired thick pads and firm rear with good turn of stifle. Excellent texture to jacket and thick pelt. Moving so well on the go around and handled to advantage. Best Bitch and an easy BOB winner here today.

1. Nettle’s Orangebox A Winged Victory for Onziemehurst

2. Greenway’s Foxcourt Little Tyke. 15 mth old who could not match the outline or expression of winner but she pleased to go over. Nicely proportioned head with good skull, dark eye but tad bolder, strong muzzle and correct dentition. Pretty good neck and topline, deep brisket, ribbed well back, firm loin and thick tail good for length, set and carriage. She stands on nice thick pads and excellent texture to jacket. Moving ok but not making the most of herself on the day.

3. Chaplin’s Queen Charlotte TAF

GB (3,0)

1. Windsor-Hichens & Lee’s Ankietaz Chillaxing. 3 yr old who won this class quite comfortably scoring for overall type and balance. Neck of moderate length and firm topline but slopes off slightly at croup. Nicely proportioned head with moderately broad skull, dark expressive eyes, strong muzzle and correct scissor bite. She is nice and straight in front and narrow in chest with rib extending well back. A little untidy in front when coming towards. Good texture to jacket. Well handled.

2. Chaplin’s Queen Charlotte TAF. 4 yr old who could not match type of winner and was somewhat heavier than desired. Plainer in expression but nice eye and ear and correct dentition. Ribcage extends well back and firm loin. She has pretty good angles front and rear and stands nice and straight in front. Well handled and moving ok.

3. Greenway’s Foxcourt Amber Spirit Gambler

1. Hughes’ Reedbeck Kitty Hawk of Arunmere. This 2 yr old was an easy winner in this class for me. She appealed for overall type and balance with neck of moderate length, level topline, good depth to chest, good croup and tail correct for both set and carriage. Feminine head and expression with moderate breadth to skull, nice eye and ear, short strong muzzle and correct mouth. Nicely angulated and standing straight in front on excellent feet. Best mover in the class on the go around but just breaks at pasterns when coming towards and could be firmer behind. Harsh jacket and good pelt.

2. Channer’s Moor Farm Bellwether At Rubyfin. 3 yr old who also pleased for overall type. Neck of good length to balance, pretty good topline, correct croup and tail good for set and carriage. Feminine headpiece with dark expressive eyes, short strong muzzle and correct dentition. Straight forelegs and small, tight feet with thick pads. Could not match the winner on the go around but true both fore and aft. Good coat.

Feminine 4 yr old who is such a good type and presented a beautifully balanced outline with excellent neck, topline, croup and tail for both set and carriage. Attractive, well proportioned head with dark expressive eyes, ears of good size and set, short strong muzzle and correct dentition. Narrow ribcage of good depth. Standing on small, tight feet with nice thick pads and firm rear with good bend of stifle. Jacket of good texture and super pelt. Moving so well on the go around with excellent carriage, true when going away and good enough when coming towards. Well handled. Reserve Best Bitch.

2. Cobby’s Litelheych Secret Potion. 5 yr old who is soundly constructed but could not match the winner for type. Pleasing outline with correct length of neck to balance, level topline and tail of good set. Feminine headpiece with nice dark eyes but lacking fill below the eye. Correct dentition. Straight forelegs with correct bone, decent feet and firm hindquarters with nice turn of stifle. Not coat texture of winner but pleasing pelt.
