BORDER BOURNEMOUTH 19 Judge: Mr A Small BEST OF BREED : 45 HALL & ELLIS Messrs C & L Ch & Ger NL Ch Brackenfell Bok To Bach JW WW18 BORDER JUDGE BOURNEMOUTH 19 It was a bit blustery to say the least down at Pikes Farm, with high winds throughout the day. A good crowd round the ring and a pleasant atmosphere prevailed. It was nice to see so many old friends.Thanks to Officers & Committee of Bournemouth C.A. for the invite, to my Stewards for looking after the ring and to the exhibitors for such a lovely entry. I enjoyed your Border Terriers, thanks for coming. 1 Haugh’s, Skyeisia Blue Reflection, neat well balanced puppy, coat coming through nicely, pleasing front & shoulders, moved true both ways with ribs back & spanable. 2 Haydon & Gibbings, Earthlaw Keep Smiling, pleasing head & expression with dark eye & good mouth, bit dark & heavy but spanable with ribs back, in good coat, went well. 3 Cassidy’s, Barkanellie Lord Percy. 1 Taylors, Barkanellie Blackadder, grizzle youngster of nice size & balance, pleasing otter head & expression with dark eye & correct bite, nice front & shoulders, good feet, pleasing spanable body of nice depth, nice bend of stifle, in good double coat with thick pelt, well pigmented. Went well to Best Puppy. 2 Moore’s, Cashel Rock Black Bush, stronger headed grizzle, tad wide in front, good coat & pelt, very good mover going true both ways, in good coat, thick pelt, neat carrot tail. 3 Small’s, Howthwaite Gentil Duke at Tilmoray. 1 Burgess’, Grizzledale War Cry, grizzle dog with lovely otter head, neat well placed ears, good muzzle & bite, lovely front of correct width, nice neck to well laid shoulders, ribs back & spanable, nice size & overall length, OK in coat with good pelt, went with drive, well handled. 2 May & Whisker’s, Thistletone Glenfiddich, Grizzle dog, stronger dog of good type & balance, nice feet, spanable with good coat, went well. 3 Haugh’s, Skyeisia Teton. 1 Peacock’s, Onthill Marksman at Ragatam. 2 Small’s, Howthwaite Gentil Duke at Tilmoray, b/t of nice size with pleasing head for age, nice front & shoulders, ribs back & spanable, in good coat, good pelt, nice quarters, of nice type & balance, moved & handled well. 3 Cassidy’s, Barkanellie Lord Percy. 1 Jackson’s, Borderby’s Return To Sender For Clipstone (Imp Sw), grizzle dog of nice size, type & balance, otter headed with dark eye & good mouth, lovely front, spanable with ribs back, of nice length & set on, coat on the turn & hanging on, went well with good drive from strong quarters. 2 Aldon’s Twigglestone Steps To Hevn, lovely headed grizzle, good muzzle with correct mouth, well balanced with pleasing spanable body, good feet, coat could be better, moved & handled well. 3 Single’s, Brackenfell Born To Be Alive. 1 Brewster & Green’s, Stowthorney Wickerman JW, red grizzle with lovely otter head, neat well set ears, dark eye, good width of muzzle with correct bite, good front & feet with well laid shoulders, nice length with ribs back & spanable, hash double coat with good pelt, well set tail, went well presenting a nice profile & carrying a level top line. Pleased to award him the Dog Res CC. 2 Freeman’s, Cedarhill Front of House, grizzle with pleasing expression, otter headed, good front, nice neck to well laid shoulders, lots to like about him with spanable body, in good coat,moved & handled well. 3 Dean’s, Tyrian Arrowsmith. 1 Irving’s, Dandyhow Captain Morgan, nice sized grizzle, lovely head & expression, a well balanced typy dog, good overall with ribs back & spanable, good front & feet, well laid shoulders, neat carrot tail, moved well. 2 Atkinson’s, Tojamat Rythm N’Blues at Raedwulf, pleasing otter head, so much to like about him, good ribbed body of nice length, good loin & quarters, in good coat, thick pelt, moved & handled well. 3 Hughes & Kendrick’s, Chatmoss Bullet Tooth Tony JW. 1 Hall & Ellis’, Ch. & Ger Ch. Brackenfell Bok To Bach, well known quality grizzle dog, type, balance & movement...it’s all there, owned the ring, lovely head, best of fronts, nice neck to well laid shoulders, up on his toes with good feet, pleasing spanable body with good coat & pelt, went with drive from strong quarters, has style presenting a pleasing outline with nice depth & a level topline & well set tail. Pleased to award him Dog CC, BOB and short listed in the Terrier Group. 2 Pollit’s, Brackenfell Rock The Boat for Vandamere JW, and he nearly did just that, lovely head, so full of type, good front & shoulders, spanable body with ribs back, nice overall balance, in good coat, lovely mover. 3 Guvercin’s, Ch. Glebeheath Just A Gigalo. 1 Walker’s, Questian Master, pleasing head on this veteran grizzle dog, nice expression with neat well set ears & correct bite, straight front with good shoulders, pleasing spanable body, in good coat. Went well. 2 Goddard’s, Ch. Kgills King Of Swing at Awbrooksky. Grizzle who belies his age, enjoying his day out, typy dog who carries his title well, nice all round & typical Border. 1 Burgess’, Grizzledale War Cry, Ist in Yearling Dog & Best Special Beginners. 2 Cassidy’s, Barkanellie Taboo, grizzle puppy dog, pleasing head for age, tends to rose his ears, good bite, best of fronts, good body, spanable with ribs back, went well. 1 Mathew’s, Tojamat Taboo, pleasing expression on this young bitch, well set ears, dark eye, correct bite, best of fronts, good body, spanable, nice bend of stifle, in her under cloths. 2 Nightingale’s, Foxfactor Foxtrot, neat puppy bitch, nice feminine expression, ribs back & spanable, bit unsettled. 3 Yeates, Bluebabel Indian Sunset. 1 Hughes & Kendrick’s, Reedback Kitty Hawk of Arunmere, light grizzle with nice otter head with pleasing well set ears, dark eye, correct bite, lovely front & feet, ribs back & spanable, presented a lovely profile with nice neck to well laid shoulders, went well carrying a level top line & good set on. 2 Sanson’s, Tarkaswell Waltzin Matilda, another very nice bitch puppy, pleasing otter head, good front & shoulders, and of similar attributes to 1, ribs back & spanable, moved & handled well. 3 Aldon’s Twigglestone Serendipite. Lovely class. 1 Irving’s, Dandyhow Pandora, tidy young grizzle bitch, lovely expression, neat ears, good eye & bite, nice neck to well laid shoulders, good feet, pleasing spanable body with ribs back, balanced with good loin & quarters, near well set carot tail, in good coat & pelt, moved & handled well. 2 Mathew’s, Ebffinian Bluebell Before Summer at Tojamat, best of fronts on this tidy grizzle bitch, grand head with dark eye, correct bite, spanable body with good quarters & nice bend of stifle, went well. 3 Gilpin’s, Otterbobs Georgia Blue. 1 Taylor’s, Clydebeck Garnet, nice racy grizzle bitch, otter headed with pleasing front, spanable with ribs back, racy outline with good coat, thick pelt, good quarters, went well. 2 Jordan-Smith’s, Ravenside Marsha At Jordith, of different type but lots to like about her, pleasing head & expression, well laid shoulders, good feet & pads, spanable body with ribs back & good quarters, neat carroty tail, moved & handled well. 3 Hollingsbee’s, Tarkaswell Smart Move To Otterwood. 1 Medhurst’s, Grizzledale Amerette, racy bitch of nice type, lovely head with well set ears, dark eye & corect bite, nice neck to well laid shoulders, spanable body, in good coat, nice quarters, well balanced with good feet. Went well. 2 Hillman’s, Botterox Protonus, pleasing young grizzle bitch of nice type, pleasing body & quarters, ample bone, went well. 3 Haydon’s, Earthlaw Kaffir Lily. 1 Ramus’, Onthill Daydreamer, grizzle bitchof nice size, typy with well set ears, nice width of muzzle & good bite, good front & feet, spanable body with thick pelt, went with drive from strong quarters. 2 Barber’s, Alcumlow Bloom, b/t bitch, good in head with correct bite, good front, spanable body with ribs back, good quarters with hard muscle tone, in lovely condition, moved & handled well. 1 Anscombe’s, Gameway French Fancy Avec Orangebox, lovely grizzle bitch, otter headed with dark eye, well set ears, correct bite, lovely front & feet, well laid shoulders, pleasing body with ribs back & spanable, nice overall length with good quarters, went well carrying a level top line. 2 Heeley’s, Thistlemead Harmony JW, typy expression on this lovely bitch, best of ears, dark eye, good mouth, pleasing spanable body, carrying a little extra weight on loin, nice quarters, good outline with correct set on, went well. 3 Phillips, Nantcoch Field Skipper. 1 Gilpin’s, Otterbobs Duchess, quality grizzle bitch, otter headed with neat well set ears, correct bite, good front with tight feet, nice neck to well laid shoulders, up on her toes & showing well, pleasing spanable body with ribs back, in good double coat with thick pelt, went well with good drive from strong quarters. 3 Reed’s, Miltonbury Sunrise At Roxamber. 1 Guvercin’s, Ch. Glebheath Fingers On Lips, lovely head & expression on this quality bitch, best of fronts & shoulders, spanable body of nice length & depth with ribs back with corrct loin, presented a pleasing out line of good balance & type, good double coat with thick pelt, went with drive carrying a level top line with neat well set carroty tail, moved true both ways to Bitch CC. 2 Broomhead’s, Bardonfox Tale As Old As Time, stronger bitch, good headed grizzle with well set ears, good muzzle & bite, straight front with neat feet, spanable body, good quarters which gave her good drive, in lovely coat & condition, went well to Bitch Res CC. 3 Roslin-Williams, Manserg Paint By Numbers. 1 Jackson’s, Ch. Cobstoneway Moon River at Clipstone, golden oldie, still has that lovely head & expression, dark eye, good muzzle, nice front & feet, spanable body, strong quarters. Still showing her quality & went well to Best Veteran. 2 Waller’s, Worker’s Playtime, another nice oldie, pleasing expression, lots to like about her with good coat, a balanced bitch that went well. |
