BORDER DRIFFIELD 25 Judge: Mrs Julie Fletcher BORDER JUDGE DRIFFIELD 25 I was so excited to be invited to give tickets for the first time so a big thank you to Driffield Committee for the invite but especially to the exhibitors for my fabulous entry I found some really lovely dogs to go over and in some classes I wished I had more awards to give out, I was very pleased with my final line ups Temperaments all day were very good. I didn’t see one cross word between the dogs, Coats as always were varying and in some classes it was a consideration. The open and limit classes were of the highest quality and very enjoyable to judge I thoroughly enjoyed my day and such a privilege to be able to go over all of your dogs, thank you Special Beginners D (3) 1 Bluebabel Your Song (Yates) Grizzle and Tan Smart puppy, He won this class on his movement,super correct double jacket and thick pelt, good carroty short tail that’s set well, good bite with big teeth,nicely maturing head with very keen expression and dark eye 2 Kewhaigh Innocent Man JW (Cummins) very handsome masculine Blue and Tan, ottery head with great keen expression, dark eyes and neat ears, little stop, in harsh double jacket, thick pelt, well off for bone and neat tight feet, well presented, moved ok 3 Haystoun Perfect Storm (Dawson & Speake) VD (3) 1 Mysulan Going Solo JW VW (Baxter) Blue and Tan who is not showing his age at all, nice typical head with a correct bite and huge clean teeth, dark keen expression, neat ears, nice length to his neck into well laid shoulders, ok in rib and good angulation behind, tight feet and nice tail and tail set, still very narrow throughout,enjoying his showing a credit to his owner BV 2 Cedarhill Dish Of The Day For Dexlin (Inness) Smart Grizzle and Tan, only just a Veteran and really isn’t looking like one, good Ottery head with correct bite and neat small ears, nice length to his neck and good lay of shoulder, nice bone and good small feet, nice angulation all around and tail and set good, moved ok 3 Borderstream Zodiak (Ward) MPD (4) 1 Whittonglebe Spylaw Scout (Mackenzie) A lovely young Grizzle and Tan Puppy, strong muzzle and dark eyes, neat ears and correct bite, a little too much stop but didn’t detract from his keen expression, really well angulated and nothing over done which he used to advantage on the move, he has great reach and drive and is so balanced for such a young puppy, shown on a loose lead,well off for bone and has super tight feet he has lovely reach to his neck, tail and tail set good, super thick pelt and new jacket just coming in, will look forward to watching him develop 2 Bluebabel Your Song (Yates) 1st SBD, didn’t move as well in this class 3 Dassett Oberon (Spafford) PD (5) 1 Otterbobs Beazon (Gilpin) Grizzle and Tan upstanding puppy, beautiful Ottery head with strong muzzle and under jaw and correct bite, good angulation throughout, well off for bone and neat tight feet ribs ok, in good harsh jacket and super thick pelt, tail and tail set good, moved the best in the class 2 Alcumlow Penderyn (Thomas) Blue and Tan puppy who was really enjoying his day such a happy boy, nice shaped head with neat ears and strong muzzle correct bite, lovely dark eyes but a little round, tail set good, ok for bone, he’s a nice size, good in rib,moved ok when he settled 3 Earthwise Phantom (Houston) JD (4) 1 Alcumlow Single Malt (Payne) Grizzle and Tan, super Ottery head with the best expression and dark eyes, nicely placed neat ears and good under jaw and correct bite, straight narrow front and good for bone,easy to span, neat feet, good length to his rib, tail set good, just enough coat today,pelt ok, moved out ok 2 Esyntona Joseph (Hopper) Red boy, in super new tight jacket, very masculine head with very strong muzzle correct bite and small ears, lighter eye but very keen expression, on first look I didn’t think I would be able to span him but he was spannable and has the thickest pelt, well off for bone and condition, tail good and it’s set well, 3 Earthwise Phantom (Houston) PGD (12) 1 Staynorwood Nightcap (Richardson) Smaller type grizzle and Tan, everything in moderation, lovely Ottery head with little stop, dark keen eye and small neat ears that are set nicely, correct bite, ok for bone, neat tight feet, straight front, narrow throughout very easily spanned,in super tight correct double jacket super short carroty tail set nicely,a balanced mover and showed well on the grass today, would love to see him a little more animated 2 Brumberhill Beswick JW (Mcpherson) Grizzle and Tan boy with a beautiful straight front, nice typical head and expression, correct bite, lovely length to his neck into lovely laid shoulders, stands well over his front on neat tight feet, ribbed well back and is very easily spanned, today he came with no coat and sadly this cost him, has good reach on the move 3 Haystoun Kicking Up A Storm (Mckenzie) LD Well what a fabulous class, not enough awards here, quality all the way down (18,4) 1 Ravenside Rasputin (Lowry) I loved this dogs head and expression nothing over done in a beautiful Red jacket of excellent texture with correct undercoat and thick pelt, He was here to win today, he didn’t stop showing and on his toes, very good angulation all-round with good bone and neat tight feet, when he settles on the move he has such reach and drive, stood out for me today, V pleased to award him the 2nd CC good luck for his 3rd 2 Chesterton Viva Las Vegas (Mooney) Grizzle and Tan, one I’ve admired ringside and was very looking forward to going over him, I find him a lovely moderate dog that moves really well, typical Ottery head and dark keen expression, strong short muzzle and big teeth, correct bite, really nicely laid shoulders in super coat with a thick pelt good rib laid right back good for bone, moved well 3 Goxfell Gotcha (Stamp & Joyce) OD Another quality class throughout here, some hard decisions for me (9,1) 1 CH Cobstoneway Stand By Me JW (Stevens) another dog I’ve really admired from the ringside, balanced and in tip top condition, in lovely new double jacket, thick pelt, is so well angulated and uses his angles well to move in a very balanced way with reach and drive, has a super spanable rib, he has a typical masculine head with a keen expression, nicely placed ears, nice tail and tail set RDCC 2 CH Brumberhill Bit O’Blarney JW (Mcpherson) a Blue and Tan, handsome boy, this dog blew me away with his super top line and tail set, nice straight front, nice for bone and small neat tight feet, typical head and nice dark keen expression, correct bite, ribbed really well back, thick loose pelt, moved really well with good angulation and no exaggerations 3 CH Otterbobs Tolson (Gilpin) Special Beginners B (8,2) 1 Morley’s Miss Zeva (Dawson & Speake) grizzle and Tan in super correct harsh jacket, good for bone, feminine typical head correct bite with big teeth, nice short muzzle, moderate neck into well laid shoulders, nicely angulated and moved soundly 2 Chorbeck Queen Of Jazz With Foxwater (Spence) Grizzle Tan puppy and still very raw, her head is developing nicely, correct bite, dark keen expression, neat small ears, ok in rib barrow throughout, she’s a little bum high at the moment but she’s still very raw and growing 3 Badgerbeck Little Jeannie At Bluebabel (Yeates) VB (7) 1 Alcumlow Portobello Road (Barber) Grizzle and tan, typical head, she has a lovely length of neck and lay of shoulder, super harsh correct jacket and sporting a thick undercoat and loose thick pelt, she’s so well angulated and moved so well holding a lovely top line sadly she was rather unsettled in the challenge for best veteran 2 Marsirdan Jemima Puddle (Service) Grizzle and tan, beautiful headed girl with correct bite, she’s got lovely angulations and moves with drive ribbed well back, sadly not a lot of coat today, I just preferred the top line of 1st today 3 CH Ravenside Marsha At Jordith JW (Jordan-Smith) MPB Lots of promise in this class (6) 1 Ravenside Ramona At Borderrush (Miss A J Hall) Beautiful Ottery head, keen expression and lovely dark eyes, correct harsh double jacket, thick loose pelt, huge teeth and correct bite, she maybe a little small but everything in the right place with no exaggerations, she’s so easy to span, moved really well and confidently, hope she grows on 2 Ravenside Sing Me A Song For Borderxpress (Wright) a slightly taller grizzle and tan puppy, lovely feminine head with a lovely keen expression, nice small ears that a placed nicely, narrow throughout, she flows lovely from head through her nicely laid shoulders in good correct double jacket, she’s showed well just needs to tighten up in her movement 3 Ravenside Billow And Breeze Of Redesholt (McKay) PB (8,2) 1 Alcumlow Sip And Swirl (Barber) Good sized blue and tan puppy,good feminine typical head, nice expression and nice sized dark eye, nice for bone, very spanable and ribbed really well back, she is beautifully angulated which she uses well on the move, sporting a lovely correct double blue and tan jacket pelt ok, a very eye catching girl, I’m sure she has a bright future 2 Craigshield Nutmeg (Tulloch) bigger framed Grizzle and tan puppy, nicely made with a stronger head, short strong muzzle, thick pelt and short tight new jacket, good bone and feet and she moved really well, hope she doesn’t grow much more 3 Normbar Fancy Nancy (Ellis) JB (10,2) 1 Flegato Fons Amoris (Fleming) 9mth old Grizzle and tan puppy, ina beautiful correct harsh double jacket, nicely angulated moved and showed really well, good tail and tail set, good for bone and neat tight feet, pushed hard for best puppy bitch 2 Howthwaite Molly Malone (Barrett). Blue and tan, such a show girl on her toes and really enjoying her day, nice Ottery head with neat small ears correct bite, slightly paler eye but good keen expression, she’s a moderate girl throughout,very short carroty tail set on high but she is rather proud of her tail, lovely thick pelt and was in correct double jacket 3 Mysulan Byards Lass (Baxter) PGB (16,2) 1 Howthwaite Merrily To Smalesmouth (Mrs J Roberts) Grizzle and tan in a super tight jacket and thick pelt, nice Ottery head with neat ears, she has correct angulation all around, ribbed well back easy to span, well balanced on the moved and moved well, she was presented in super condition 2 Hollyherd Platinum Jubilee (Shepherd) beautiful head with lovely neat small ears, short strong muzzle correct bite, moderate length of neck into well laid shoulders, ribbed well back, spanned easily with a thick pelt, she moved soundly and pushed 1st hard again in super condition, I liked her a lot 3 Borderrush Beeble Honey Rum JW (Hall) LB What a fabulous class of super bitches, I really enjoyed judging this one (16,3) 1 Glebeheath Jolene (Guvercin)a very eye catching grizzle and tan, lovely Ottery head with short strong muzzle good bite,neat small ears and keen dark expression, easily spanned, shown in a correct double jacket and thick pelt, moderate neck into well laid shoulders with good upper arm, nice short carroty tail that’s set on well, the best of feet being tight and thick, she’s got moderate angulation all round, she moves out well on the grass and showed all her attributes, really pleased to award her her 2nd CC good luck for the 3rd 2 Howthwaite Gaan Divilish (Barrett) Grizzle and tan in super thick correct jacket, she has a lovely typical feminine head with neat ears and correct bite, well set short carroty tail that’s well set, good angulations throughout, ribbed well back and easily spanned, showed well on the grass lots to like 3 Irton Marmalade (Fryer) OB Quality all the way down the line, a pleasure to judge (9,4) 1 CH Remony Rose Gold JW (Gregory) I’ve admired this girl since she was a puppy and I was so excited to go over her, beautiful correct Ottery head, dark eye with a keen expression correct bite, moderate length of neck, well ribbed back, nicely angulated all round, good for bone with lovely neat tight feet, moved very soundly and balanced, a hard decision RBCC 2 CH Haystoun Cosmic Dancer At Paleside (Mitchell) One I judged when she was a minor puppy and she’s certainly fulfilled her early promise, lovely feminine Ottery head with the best of keen expressions, narrow throughout and easily spanned,nice amount of bone, coat was just coming in and has a really thick pelt, tail set well, moved well 3 Ir CH Nottorg Nekesa CW24 (Taylor) Mrs Julie Fletcher (Northborders)
