BORDER MANCHESTER 22 Judge: Mr Stuart Plane BORDER JUDGE MANCHESTER 22 What a weekend it proved to be for Border Terriers. 1 Haydon’s Earthtaw Never A Dull Moment. A well grown grizzle of good type, in super coat and condition with a loose pelt, good over the neck and shoulder, spannable ribs, appealing head and eye. 2 Khatchikian’s Jrasamuyr Sergei Filin. Slightly older pup of good type, lovely rib, carried well back, pleasing head and eye, true front, well set tail. 3 Stevens’ Cobstoneway Stand By Me. 1 Goddard & Goddard’s Awbrooksky Never Back Down. This youngster must be a star in the making, so well schooled and not over handled to get the best out of him, great for type, balanced head with good expression, spans well and has the correct topline, well set tail, so sound on the move. BP and Terrier Puppy Group 1. 2 Cray’s Rockslade Risque Romance. A good headed dog of lovely type, well placed shoulders presents a clean outline, well set and used tail, lovely coat texture. 3 Peacock’s Ragatam Eros. 1 Golding & Golding’s Beaconpike Dionysus. A good type in rather fuller coat of good texture, appealing in head with dark eyes correct mouth true front, into a good topline ,spans ok with a loose pelt. 2 Parsons’ Arunmere Midnight Cowboy. Attractive dog who could have carried a little more coat, true front lovely head and eye correct mouth, spans easily coat of good texture. 3 Khatchikian’s Jrasamuyr Sergei Filin. 1 Gwilliam’s Fisherbloom Dont Stop Me Now At Louajak. Well balanced grizzle with lovely neck and shoulder placement, quality head and eye giving a good expression true front, presents a pleasing picture. 2 Armstrong’s Howthwaite Sylvester. Touch stronger in head than the winner but another of good type, great neck and shoulder, true front and adequate bone, short coupled. 3 Pearce & Pearce’s Onthill Nighthawk (AV)1. 1 May & Whisker’s Thistlestone Glenfiddich. Appealing in head and eye with a good expression, correct mouth, well placed shoulders which flows into a good topline, good tail set, spans well, short in coat of good texture. 2 Sutton’s Bordergold Rudolph At Beckholm. Very similar to the winner bit in slightly darker colour, lovely head, eye and expression, well placed shoulders, good topline, overall a touch longer than the winner. 3 McKay’s Achouffe McKay’s Fable Of Redesholt. 1 Gilpin’s Ch Otterbobs Tolson. The star of the day, in immaculate condition, his well textured coat fitting so tightly and enhancing his clean outline, excels in neck and shoulder, lovely head and expression, true front, spans easily, well set tail, muscular quarters. Pleased to award him CC and BOB, but delighted for him to win the Terrier Group and eventually RBIS. 2 Anscombe & Anscombe’s Kevrah Orion Seeking Orangebox (Imp USA). This dog does push the winner hard, lovely head and eye, neat ear true front, tight fitting coat, free mover and maintains a good outline. RCC. 3 Hughes’ Chatmoss Bullet Tooth Tony JW JW. 1 Jackson & Jackson’s Clipstone Starshine. This veteran was in super condition, he has a lovely head and eye, correct mouth, true front, keeping a good outline on the move. 2 Jordan-Smith & Jordan-Smith’s Glebeheath Smash N’Grab At Jordith. A very honest dog of good construction, good in head and eye, lovely front, spans well and well textured coat. 1 Cummins’ Havencroft Emerald. A B/T of quality with a nice outline, lovely head and eye, correct mouth, true front, into a pleasing topline and used her tail well. 2 Southam’s Oatberry Pandora At Southash. Sweet headed grizzle with well placed neck and shoulders, true front, spans well, neat feet, well set tail. 3 North’s Northborders Chianti. 1 Girling’s Benattivo Silver Flame. Another B/T of quality she has a lovely head and eye neat ear, well placed shoulders into a true front spans well, good topline and free on the move. 2 Lowe & Miles’ Rockslade Russian Roulette. A very well balanced bitch of good type, ok in head with a dark eye, correct mouth, true form and covers the ground well on the move. 3 Sansom’s Tarkaswell Highland Fling JW. 1 Stockley’s Foxfactor Happy Go Lucky. Headed this lovely class of bitches,a honest bitch of good type with a clean outline and very correct throughout in super coat and condition, maintained her outline throughout. 2 Jordan-Smith & Jordan-Smith’s Jordith Sapphire Storm. A b/t with a sweet head and expression free standing to show off her virtues, touch unsettled when asked to move. 3 Pickering & Pickering’s Picer Bess Pool. 1 Brinkley’s Ebffiniau Rock Rose Lady. A well constructed bitch of good type. Well presented light grizzle coat, sweet head and expression, muscular quarters and a well set tail, true front. 2 Hall’s Otterwood Aura. A b/t of style and of good type, lovely neck and shoulder ribs span easily, well set tail, with strong hindquarters. 3 Peacock’s Olliesorchid Dame Of Ragatam. 1 McPherson’s Otterwood Carolina By Brumberhill NAF. This was a very strong class where the first three could well change places on another day. A B/T with a quality head on well placed shoulders which flowed into a good topline and onto a well carried tail. Lovely coat and condition showed steadily and moved well enough to win RCC. 2 Roslin-Williams’ Mansergh Paint The Dream. Another well constructed bitch, very narrow in type spans easily, clean over the neck and shoulders , good topline and showed steadily. A free mover, well textured coat. 3 Pickering & Pickering’s Picer Isabel Derby OB (7, 1) 2 Sansom’s Tarkaswell Sea The Stars. Stylish bitch, maybe a touch larger than the winner but this is not a criticism, lovely rib and outline and a steady showgirl. 3 Horner’s Stineval Memphis To Emblehope.
