BORDER JUDGE SOUTH WALES 23

I think hind movement has generally improved though the same cannot be said for fronts. Most were shown in good coat and only one exhibit was clearly of poor temperament.

VD (1)

1 Hughes, Chatmoss Bullet Tooth Tony, Well up to size and fairly heavy in the hand, good coat and thick skin, stood on sound feet and moved soundly.

MPD (4)

1 Golding, Beaconpike Caelus, Rangy, 8month dog, good reach of neck and narrow in front, good head, still needs to muscle up as he matures but best mover in the class. BP.

2 Hillman, Botterox Flint, Strong dog for age who doesn’t need to grow on. Good in hindquarters and had a good coat. Tighter feet on 1.

3 Regeer, Cedarhill The Wish.

PD (2)

1 Yeates, Bluebabel Border Song, Narrow with good shape to ribcage, spannable. Good head with short muzzle. Needs to tighten feet.

2 Nelson-Tonge, Bealhollow Peter Pan, Nice shaped head but too big and heavy. 9months and I couldn’t span him.

JD (4,1)

1 Spafford, Dassett Igglepiggle, Big enough but spannable, deep enough in body but narrow, good hindquarters, topline and tailset, really good coat.

2 Jordan-Smith, Jordith Roll Up And Shine, Handy size, good reach of neck and topline, Not the front movement of 1.

3 Bealhollow Peter Pan.

PGD (6,1)

1 Greenway, Foxchapel Perfect Day With Foxcourt, Neat, handy size, some in this class were too big, good head, good reach of neck into well placed shoulder, correct hindquarters and moved best.

2 Jordith Roll Up And Shine

3 Sneddon, Ravenside Play The Game Kersfell.

LD (9,1)

1 Girling, Benattivo Charlie Brown, Balanced and well proportioned, good head, narrow front, well laid shoulder moved soundly and true, well presented in good coat. RCC.

2 Golding, Beaconpike Dionysus, Bit more on the leg, good head, good length of body with ribs carried well back, spannable, moved well and shown in correct coat.

3 Irving, Dandyhow Postman Pat.

OD (6,1)

1 Lee, Ch Yorkpiece Fiery Lucifer (Imp Cze), Mature blue and tan shown in first class condition, harsh, dense coat and thick skin, stands on good tight feet, moves out soundly and holds his topline, not too big, good reach of neck and well placed shoulder. CC and BOB

2 Horner, Ch Stineval Lambert JW, Little bit taller, moved very well and shown in good coat, strong, short muzzle and scopey body.

3 Sneddon, Glen Mara Oh Video At Kersfell (Imp Fr).

GCD (2)

1 Jordith Roll Up And Shine,

2 Pearce, Onthill Nighthawk, Bit big blue and tan, good neck and ok tailset, didn’t have the drive behind of 1.

VB (5)

1 Stockley, Foxfactor Fancy Free, The epitomy of an otter head, Neat size, narrow front and ribs carried well back, decent coat and moved ok. BV.

2 Wright, Borderexpress Miss Potter, Bit bigger than 1, good head and eye, still narrow and moved well, first class coat.

3 Taylor, Clydebeck Solitaire.

MPB (3)

1 Fawcett, Carrock Complicated, Nice size and moved well once settled, good shape of head, correct length of neck and shape of ribcage, really good coat.

2 Peacock, Ragatam Dalwhinnie, showing her immaturity at just 6 months, good overall shape and size, well laid shoulder and should settle movement with a bit more time.

3 Speake, Morley’s Miss Zeva.

PB (4)

1 Parsons, Arunmere Artemis, Neat head, keen eye, good mouth, balanced shape and size, moved ok but could do with muscling up behind.

2 Matthews, Tojamatt Something Wicked, similar comments to 1, good length of body and narrow all through. All spannable.

3 Taylor, Clydebeck Layla’s Dream.

JB (9,1)

1 Horner, Stineval Sasha, Really nice young bitch, strong enough in head, good size, balanced in the hand, nice front, not overdone in any department, moved soundly and shown in good coat. RCC

2 Gilpin, Otterbobs Beatrix, Another I really liked, shown in first class coat, thick, loose pelt, good thick pads, front movement not quite as true as 1 today.

3 Fryer, Irton Marmalade.

PGB (12,1)

1 Spencer, Glenaig Gleeful, Neat feminine head with good ear set, nice handy size, good double coat and thick skin, moved soundly.

2 Golding, Beaconpike Solstice, Rangy bitch with good length of body, ribs carried well back, now too wide in front, good tight feet and moved ok.

LB (10,3)

1 Harris, Rockslade Ravishing, Easy to span bitch with deep, narrow body, decent length of neck and well correct bone, better feet than some.

2 Peacock, Ragatam Brodie JW, All Border type, good otter shaped head, well constructed forequarters, really good coat missed out today on slightly eratic front movement compared to 1.

3 Glenaig Gleeful.

OB (11,1)

1 Lee, Ch Wintergarden Bluestocking At Tythrop, Liked her when I first saw her over 2 years ago and haven’t any reason to change, incredibly thick skin and shown in harsh, dense coat, best of forequarters, moderate but strong neck, moved soundly. BCC.

2 Sansom, Tarkaswell Sea The Stars, Deep but narrow ribcage, good feminine head, moved well with good length of stride and tracking up well, shown in good coat.

3 Lowe/Miles, Rockslade Russian Roulette JW.

GCB (2)

1 Nettle, Onziemehurst Milly Earhart, Not the best movement seen today but qute rangy, shown in good coat.

2 Healey, Thistlemead Sundance, Rather wide and stocky, there may be places she could work but one of more correct size would find it easier.
