ENGLISH BULL SOUTHERN COUNTIES 14 Judge(s): PATSY HOLLINGS Bull Terriers I have to say I really enjoyed my first time judging this breed at this level & found there is a good number of quality ones. PD (1) 1 Sheppherd & Howes’ Polanca Powerslave, 10 months powerhouse. (Wrote that before I looked at the name!) Good length of head with small dark eye, strength in muzzle & correct bite. Good bone right down to compact feet. Big ribs, well covered strong loin. Goes with gusto. JD (3) Places could be changed with maturity. Each pleased. 1 Bunce’s Rubbise It’s Complicated, strength & length of head with filling. Small dark well fitting eye, ear well placed fine & small, used to advantage to display enthusiasm. Clean neck into strong forehand, round bone right down to feet. Good width of chest. Firm short back, firm set on of tail. Has drive from muscled quarters. Goes on well; 2 Cserfalvi-Young’s Ducassos The Messiah, good skull, ear & eye, could have longer head with stronger underjaw, balanced body with depth & developed big ribs. Tight skin. Works well with handler & performs with resolute sound action; 3 Hazeltine’s May Contain Nuts. PGD (3,1) 1 Evans’ Bronygarn Bold As Brass, 20 months, presents a picture of power, clean strong jaw in typical head. Good mouth. Neck flows through clean front. Could move from strong quarters. Good attitude; 2 Hilling’s Chardaice Fist Of Fury, typical balanced picture standing & moved on with true action. All male clean with strong dry neckline. Just preferred width of underjaw of winner. LD (5) 1 Lamonby’s Emred Devils Advocate, a touch under 12 months, but what a spectacular youngster. He cannot be overlooked. He fulfils the Standard for me. Has long filled head, small eye with that spark of devilment, so appealing. His small ear is set to enhance outlook used to display confidence. Has muscular dry neckline through clean powerful shoulders. Grand bone, forechest & depth. Short strongly made body with muscular loin, affording firm topline held at all times. Good skin & coat. Goes with true footfall & easy ground cover. A whisker away from the ticket. RCC & BP; 2 Pullen’s Louka Gone Racin, this boy has lots going for him, honest, sound, a balanced typical outline with depth & bone right down through firm pastern. Tight skin, harsh smooth coat, grand sort, standing & going with such power & style. Nothing to disappoint here; 3 Parkes & Burridge’s Chardaice Dillinger. OD (7) 1 Mathison’s Notorious Joker of Blazinbullys, fit strong 2 year old. Long dry powerful head with small ear. Has dry, clean outline, totally balanced with good depth & leg length. Big ribs, has depth & width of brisket. Muscular loin, power in rump & strong set on of tail. Developed quarters which provide thrust. In lovely order & doing his job, holding himself & displaying determination & self confidence to snatch the CC, which I was informed was his third, well done; 2 Young’s Feenicks Next Generation at Bullyview, masculine, powerful, excellent strong round bone. Good length of head with filling & width of jaw. Everything in proportion. In grand condition. Real balanced, clean chap; 3 Deutsch’s Ch Trick Or Treat Erase And Rewind. PB (1) 1 O’Connell’s Koellen Penny Black, 11 months educated young lady. Displays intelligent, confident attitude. Head is long, strong, & feminine with good mouth. Small dark expressive eye. Well used ear. Clean long neck flowing to well laid shoulder. Has width of forechest & big ribs. Power behind & good set on of tail. Worked well. JB (4,3) 1 Mitchell’s Beau’s Icediamond for Beebeemi, just out of puppy, this feminine bitch lacks no strength. She is nicely constructed with strong neck & firm body with leg to depth providing balance. Developed slightly arched loin. When she got in stride showed true footfall. PGB (7,2) 1 Morgans & Wilson’s Romagna Drama Queen, long filled head, power in forehand, round bone with strong pastern & tight feet. Has big body, good depth short back & well muscled quarters. Goes with personality & ease; 2 Karta-Williams & Williams’ Karmara Consider Me, could have a touch more length in head which gives a little more width of underjaw. Clean, strong. Presented to advantage. Giving a lot therefore displaying her attributes well; 3 Thomas’ Bronygarn Bobby’s Girl at Mostahbull. LB (5,1) 1 Mitchell’s Work Of Art at Beebeemi, just preferred length & strength in head on this bitch to win the class. Straight front, good lay of shoulder, neat elbows. Good width of chest. Power all through & easy action; 2 Karta-Williams & Williams’ Karmara’s Rumour Has It, clean feminine with strength & has super personality. Lovely muscular condition, well handled, alert & attentive holding her outline; 3 Hackett’s Spartiate Pandora. OB (11) Best overall class of the day. 1 Hicks’ Bullyon Love Unmeasured for Crisalia, noticed this one as soon as she entered the ring, a cracking, totally balanced bitch in shape. Her head is powerful dry with length, strength & powerful jaw. Ears are fine, small set right & used to advantage. She has a stoic expression from her small, obliquely set eye, dry strong neck through well laid shoulder; good length of upper arm allows well fitting elbows. Has big ribs & width of chest, front straight with round bone & compact padded feet. Short back, muscular loin, good rump, strong hocks, therefore can really push off. CC & BOB; 2 Newberry’s Bullytrip Hell’s Angel by Ukusa, classy bitch, satisfying to go over & so balanced with correct proportions. Pleasing for size. Strong & compact. Just not putting as much in as the winner, but a lovely quality type of bitch. RCC; 3 Young’s Bullyview Sweet Memories. PATSY HOLLINGS |
