ENGLISH BULL SOUTHERN COUNTIES 17 Judge(s): SYLVIA J MONAGHAN My thanks to the Committee for inviting me to judge at their prestigious show. My stewards for their hard work and my exhibitors for their entries. All entries were shown in good healthy condition and certainly bouncing with heath. I was pleased to find only 3 canine teeth faults (2 Minor 1 Major) so hopefully we are beginning to eradicate this problem in both Bull Terriers and Miniature Bull Terriers. What is creeping in, both on the Continent and here in the UK is the lower incissors jutting forward out of line, so I feel this will need to be monitored. Also movement, apart from the occasional 'jaunty' dance step at the back for which these breedsare noted. Close on the back leg movement is again 'creeping' in and although the majority had sound movement today, there were a number of exhibits showing this problem. I would like to congratulate the Rabram Kennel for the quality of their entries today, really well worth their winning places and a pleasure to go over them. PD (3, 1) Both promising youngsters. 1 Dobbin's Rabram Relentless Debully. 11 mth old white with one black ear. He has great substance and bone. Fits the picture for ratio to size. Well developed head with arc fill and roman finish. Good pigmentation, dark wicked eye and expression. Good ear carriage and correct dentition. Nice reach of neck set onto a good lay of shoulder. Straight front with clean angulation to front and rear hindquarters. Depth of brisket, tuck up into short coupling. Turn of stifle let down onto hocks. Topline curves gently over loins. Maintains a good topline and tail set on the move. Moves soundly and with drive around the ring. Even at this age he radiates power and ring prescence. A dog that I know will be an asset to future generations. 2 Zabinski's Irazistabull Dastardly Act. BP, RCC. 9 mth old white with black ears. Another quality puppy still maturing and needs to body, but this will come in time. Lighter boned to first, but has all the standard points. Head has arc fill but lacks on underjaw also his ears are set a little wide, dark eyed, correct bite with reach of neck set onto shoulders. Sufficent angulation to front and hindquarters. Brisket has still to drop although has tuck up and is short coupled. A little straight on stifle but is developing a nice second thigh. Correct topline and tailset which he maintained on the move. Another sound mover. Both brindles, and enjoyed playing today, making it a little difficult for their handlers. 1 Malden's Louka Eye In The Sky. Presents a nice picture of good substance and bone. Powerful head with arc, fill and Roman finish. Correct dentition. Neck curves gently onto a good lay of shoulder Clean angulations fore and rear. Has all other major points but movement is close on back. 2 Hodges & Sweetland-Hodges' Shwntarw Pay As You Earn. Wouldn't settle making it difficult to assess. Heavier type with all major points. However, has slight dentation fault and moves close on the back. 1 De Roubaix's Loveshac Shimmie. Bl/white. Good conformation to size, a heavyweight with powerful muscled body. Well defined head, good ear carriage, dark piercing eye giving a wicked expression and correct bite. Nice angulations to fore and rear with depth, tuck up and short coupling. Shown in excellent health, coat gleamed in the sunlight. Strong, sound movement, but was determined to have 'hisown way' unsettling his handler. 2 Fletcher's Indelibull Inkreadible. Tri, good ratio for size, lacks on head shape and large top canine out of line. Nice reach of neck set onto shoulders. Clean angulations, good front with strong boned fore and hindquarters. Depth of brisket tuckup and short coupled. Erratic on the move. 1 Stanley's Fortified With Beauty At Aricon. White with one black ear, really loved this dog as he entered the ring. Has super ring prescience and well worthy of consideration for the CC, unfortunately in the challenge was unsettled and against some strong competition. He presents a good picture of substance to size. Powerful head with arc fill Roman finish. Correct bite with nice reach of neck set into shoulders. Clean angulations. Nice front with depth tuck up and short coupled. Has well developed second thigh let down onto hocks. Maintains a good topline and tail carriage but moved a little close on back. 2 Sheehy's Cigano Dark Knight For Anbullb. Black/white. Has all major points. Well shaped head with neat ears and small dark eye, correct bite, reach of neck set onto shoulders, good front with clean angulations. Depth of brisket tuck up and is short coupled. Good topline and tail set, but elbows on the move, and is close on the back. 3 Karta-Williams & Williams' Briden Fun Lovin Criminal At Karmara. 1 Leggatt's Rabram Rock Star. White with eye patch. Eyecatching with good ring prescence from the moment he entered the ring he was on his toes and seeking attention. What one expects for a good 'bullie'. Strong heavy muscled frame, power packed head with arc fill Roman finish. Correct bite, small, dark wicked eye. All qualities, couldn't fault. Moved soundly and with drive around the ring. Well worthy of his CC and BOB today. 2 Bussom's Crisalia Big Poppa. White. Another heavyweight but has the frame and muscle to carry it. Well defined head with slight dentition fault. Good overall ratio to size and All major points Moved ok 3 Sineri's Ch White Kamikaze. 1 Karta-Williams & Williams' Kaisrbulls Tough Love At Karmara. White, feminine and to form. Presents a good overall picture fitting the ratio with well shaped head, correct bite and neat ear carriage. Nice front with clean angulations. Neck is set in good lay of shoulder. Unforttunatly was unsettled today and on the move was dancing over on the back. 1 Ferris' Dajan. White/black ears. Feminine and a nice size to ratio. Typy with good bone and substance. Sufficient arc, fill and a good ear carriage. Length of neck set onto shoulders with straight front. Cleanly angulated (had one of the best turns of stifle today) with depth of brisket, tuck up and short coupled. Good topline and tail set held on the move. Moved freely and with drive around the ring. 2 Thomas' Bronygarn Paper Moon At Mostahbull. White with black ear. Has all the qualities of first, but unfortunately is let down by her dentition. 3 Roff's Bobuddy Quatre Bras. Quality entry in this class, first and second could have easily changed places. Wished I had more CCs. 1 Clarke's Ir Ch Debully Cracking Rose. White with black ear. Couldn't fault this lady, had all qualities together with a good ring presence and really on her toes. Nice to see bone in keeping with body, sometimes in bitches this can be lacking, which can make them appear top heavy. Moved soundly and with drive, CC. 2 Leggatt's Rolling Deep. White with black ear. As stated, either of these bitches could have changed places. Has all qualities of first but at times was a little unsettled. RCC. 3 McCann's Heaven White Flyweight At Diton.
