ENGLISH BULL SOUTHERN COUNTIES 22 Judge: Joy Johnson t was a great pleasure to judge Bull Terriers at the Southern Counties Championship Show. My thanks to my stewards and all of the exhibitors for showing their dogs. 1 Beckinsale’s Cywbullys Thundering Tank, and what a tank he is, substantial R/wh, head is packed right up with fill and with a good profile, correct mouth, good eye, he has lovely bone with a tidy front and feet with strong rear quarters. 2 Ziolkowski’s Bullyhill Handsome Dragon, R/wh, his head could use more strength, well placed ears, straight front with good bone and nice tight feet, moved ok both way, was a little unsure in the ring. 1 Jowers’ Aricon Fiery Eyes At Clansmann, wonderfully typy, quality white who caught my eye on entering the ring, long strong head with a good profile, wicked well placed eye giving to a fabulous expression, correct bite with good canines, straight front with good round bone and feet, short back with good spring of rib and strong topline, well angulated in front & rear, moved parallel and with drive, shown and presented well, delighted to award him DCC with BOB. 2 Mathison’s Blazinbullys Back To Black, another quality dog, well marked blk/bri/wh, his head has a smooth profile and good length with a good mouth, straight front with good feet, well made and moved well both ways, well handled and presented as an immaculate package, taking 2nd place to the CC winning dog whose type and shorter back I preferred, he never put a foot wrong, pleased to award him the RDCC.
2 Villensi’s Villensia Sweeney Todd, upstanding wh, very different type to 1st, long head with a lovely smooth profile and finish, good straight front with enough bone for his big frame, good tail placement, well angulated hind quarters, preferred the type of 1st. 1 Leggatt’s Rabram Rustic Sunrise. Typy well marked Bri & wh, powerful well filled head with great profile, good expression and mouth, lovely straight front, good bone & feet, short back with good topline and tail placement, moved well both ways, showed well in his class and pushed hard in the challenge but unfortunately seemed to wilt in the heat. 2 Gates’ Archetype Wild Card, flashy bri/wh with excellent strong well turned and filled head, good eye, excellent shoulder, fore chest & neck, good bone, short back and correct tail placement, loved his body lines but preferred movement and front of 1st. 1 Morgans’ Romagna Rumour Has It, substantial wh, strong head with excellent fill & finish, great bone, loved her body lines, great topline for her age. 2 Carter’s Loquitur Enchanter, wh, classical head with lovely length that’s missing in a lot of heads today, good expression, in excellent condition, preferred the bone and bodylines of 1st. 1 Medlam’s Adventurous Agatha, substantial wh, good length to head but could use more profile and width, good bone and straight front, strong hind quarters, moved well with drive. 1 Jowers’ Clannsman Wicked Shaka, terrier type wh, great expression and head profile, good mouth, short backed, straight front, moved well once settled, lots still to come as she matures BP. 2 Pachowicz & Witoslawski’s Renae Princess of The Sky, r/wh with strong feminine head, pronounced profile, excellent expression, good straight front and neat feet, long cast through her body, in lovely condition, preferred the shorter back and type of 1st. 1 Westwood’s Tulsadoom Meshuggeneh, quality typy white, feminine head with good turn & fill, super expression, straight front, neat feet and enough bone for size, good shoulder and quarters, good topline, loved her flowing bodylines, moved well once settled, instanding canines, still more to come with maturity, she pushed very hard in the challenge, I’m sure her time will come. 2 John’s Bluepoint White Swan For Garthybull, another typy wh, similar in type to 1st, beautiful feminine head with excellent expression, good mouth, straight front, tidy feet, enough bone, short back, moved a little close both ways, preferred the topline and movement of 1st. 1 Kittle & Longhurst’s Treszia Devils Quilla, wh, head with good length & gentle profile, correct mouth, good expression, straight front, good bone and feet, strong topline and well bent stifle, moved ok both ways. 2 Karta-Williams & Williams’ Karmaras Tough Tiger, upstanding well marked bri/wh, long head with good profile, lovely straight front and tidy feet, little long in body, good tail set, well shown and presented, preferred the shorter back of 1st. Tough class to judge, 3 very different quality bitches. 1 Dennison’s Beaverden Atomic, pretty wh, beautiful head with great turn & fill, correct mouth, lovely eye, straight front, good feet, enough bone, moved ok both ways, well handled & presented. 2 Karta-Williams & Williams’ Karmaras Little White Lie, wh with a long strong head, mouth under, good bone & feet, lovely forechest, short back, strong hind quarters, moved ok both ways, well handled and presented. 1 Young’s Bilboen Keep A Secret At Bullyview, substantial r/wh, head with beautiful profile, good length & width, good eye and ear set giving a great expression, correct mouth, good forechest & bone, correct shoulder and well angulated hind quarters, moved well both ways, beautifully handled and presented, I was delighted to award her BCC. 2 Otero’s Brutal Bull Lady Gwenbull, very typy wh, beautiful feminine head with punishing expression, mouth just off, good straight front, enough bone & neat feet, good forechest and shoulder placement, short back, good topline though tends to over stretch, well angulated hind quarters, moved well in front, a little close behind, very well handled and presented. Pleased to award her RBCC.
