ENGLISH BULL WELSH KENNEL CLUB 09 Judge: Mrs F Somerfield ENGLISH BULL JUDGE WKC 09 Bull Terriers PD (1) 1 Sheehy’s Afanbull Kid Rock, fit vital young white who could not bear to stand still. Well grown, pleasing head, nice body & shape. When he hardens off & settles down should do well. JD (4,2a) 1 Clacher’s Odakota’s Black Hawk, nicely balanced b/br/w, good head, splendid strength in chest, bone & limbs. Feet can tighten. Very good body & rib, moved soundly; 2 Brooks’ Toatally Osbourne at Kellouacy, bigger b/br/w, typical head, strong neck. Needs to strengthen a little in second thigh to balance his front. In good coat condition. PGD (4,1) 1 Crossan’s Ceilteach Robbie Dubh of Crossgarley, powerful, fit tri, good head, well filled with pleasing downface, nice eyes, good chest & front, bone to match, pleasing neck, shoulders & topline, firm hindquarters; 2 Griffiths & Goodwin’s Ounsdale Captain Buffolo, younger dog who still looks puppyish, very pleasing & nicely put together, good head. Needs to tighten a little in front; 3 Woodward’s Chartay Crowning Glory. LD (9,3) 1 Quinn’s Padhen Abraham Of Lincoln, very well balanced tri, well shaped head, pleasing eyes, good neck, shoulders & outline, well made hindquarters, moved & showed well. RCC; 2 Hodges’ Shwntarw Comfortably Numb, pleasing young white, very good well filled downface, good body & rib. Needs a little more strength in second thigh but nice over the loin & croup; 3 Ley’s Fortifer’s Fiammetta. OD (4) 1 Young’s Bullyview Screaming Eagle, I very much liked this white & was disappointed when his hind action let him down in the challenge for BOB. Has quality, well balanced, good head & eyes, pleasing neck, shoulders & front, nice outline & tail. CC, his third; 2 Ley’s Virtuous Brute Force by Fortifer, b/br/w, basically made on good lines with strength throughout. Not the clean shoulder of 1. Very good body & rib; 3 Dobbin & Van Eck’s Ossysdream Tristar of Debully. MPB (2) 1 Wooliscroft’s Hillanvale Hallelujah, pleasing white baby, well rounded for age, nicely balanced, typical head. Can tighten in elbows. Promising; 2 Salt’s Daisel Dearest, brindle, good head type with nice downface. Bit angular but this will change. Good neck. Tail could be better. PB (4) 1 Dobbin & Van Eck’s Sugar Spun Sister for Debully, lovely white, pleasing head, so expressive, good neck, shoulder & outline, nice turn of stifle. Can tighten a shade in feet. A real showgirl. BP; 2 Mainwaring’s Afanbull Too Much Too Young, neat well balanced white, well made, moved well. Coat not in the condition of 1 who also scored in ears. Two very pleasing bitches; 3 Hodges’ Midnight Dark Star at Shwntarw. JB (5) 1 Thomson & Shearer’s Nethanbull Lightning Babe with Ceilteach, quality white, typical head with good downface, eye & ears, good neck, shoulders & outline, well bodied, good rib & bone, coat in good condition, well made hindquarters, moved well. Could be slightly better in tail. RCC; 2 Ley’s Fortifer Fractious Female, another quality white who I liked very much & pushed 1 all the way. Very good head, well filled, good eye & ears, pleasing neck, shoulders & outline. Not just the coat condition of 1 & I thought 1 was a little better in second thigh; 3 Twyman & Gardner’s Megaville Magic Star. PGB (8,2) 1 Edwards’ Bullimage Kizzee, very showy feminine b/br/w, very well made & stood true, good neck, shoulders & topline, nice firm quarters, has a good eye & downface. Could be a little better filled under the eye; 2 Hill’s Arcanum Kontinental Blend, delightful br/w, so sensible & steady, very good body, rib, bone & chest, good breadth behind. Could be a touch shorter coupled; 3 Whittaker’s Wengormick Born N Bred. LB (6,2) 1 Monaghan’s Kellouacy Disco Diva at Justbully, good bitch, pleasing head, eye & expression, well bodied, good width in thighs, good bone & feet; 2 Blacker’s Sonatel Flashback at Crossguns, very good typical bitch but was in season & not just making the best of herself standing or moving, will have better days. Good head, very good eyes, well bodied with good rib & bone, pleasing forehand; 3 Malden’s Louka Lady Luck. OB (3) 1 Tidball’s Llanwenarth Love Potion, very showy white who made the most of herself all the time, very typical in head, eye & ears, good neck & shoulders, pleasing outline, nice firm hindquarters, lovely coat condition, fit, vital & true on the move which took her through to CC & BOB though I would like a touch more ‘bull’ & less ‘terrier’; 2 Cserfalvi-Young’s Ducassos Contrary Mary, short coupled, nice body depth & rib, typical head, moved soundly; 3 Sewards’ Padhen Precious Pearl.
