MINIATURE BULL CRUFTS 12 Bull Terrier (Miniature) Judge(s): MRS F A SOMERFIELD Miniature Bull Terriers 1 Raabe-Finis’ Int/D/Nl/B/Lux/Dk/A Ch Sherman Aisborne, still a very good dog at coming up 8 years, good body & rib, nice chest & bone, good topline leading to good strong hindquarters, typical head, good eyes & ears, moved & showed well. JD (3) 1 Wojciechowski’s Jr/Pl/Cro/Lux Ch Deil Ewimark Rakownia, very pleasing r/w, pleasing head & eyes, neat ears, good hindquarters, nice bone, legs & feet, coat in good condition; 2 Bennett’s Quayardson Sir Alfred, bl/br/w, bigger dog & not as good over the hindquarters, nice body, typical head with good downface; 3 Bulmer’s Albermarbull Silver Lining, br/w who needs to tighten in pasterns & feet. Mouth not as good as those above. Good character, well bodied for age, good eyes. PGD (7) 1 Manoli’s Belcanto Toreador, very nice white of sensible size, good head with nice eyes & downface & had the edge in teeth & bite, strong neck, good body & rib, nice strong hindquarters; 2 Hearne & Ingleton’s Manowar by Warbonnet, nice white, good head & eyes, had the edge in neck & topline, good showman, in good coat condition; 3 Bell’s Quayardson Sir Albert, bl/br/w, moved out well, made on nice lines, typical head although those placed above had the edge here, he felt the heat which affected him. Could have a little more development in hindquarters. LD(8,1a) 1 Harrison’s Jenkir Thor, bl/br/w of nice size, pleasing head, good body & rib, very good well muscled hindquarters, moved soundly; 2 Dobbin & Van Eck’s Debully Frantic, bigger white, good head with nice downface, well bodied, good coat condition; 3 Salewski-Mielchen’s Easy Rider of Slanting Shore, lighter, more streamlined bl/br/w, good neck & shoulders, showed very well, head could have a little more shape but is typical. Not so good in tail carriage. OD (11) Good class. 1 Barrett’s Ch Decadance Discovery Margins, excellent Bull Terrier in miniature, good head, eyes & ears, strong neck, pleasing front, good body & rib, very good hindquarters, moved & showed well. CC & BOB; 2 Schmidt’s Lux Ch King Chaos vom Kaiserstuhl, very good white, good front & limbs, pleasing neck & shoulders. Not as much substance as 1 but made on good lines. Good profile to head well filled up, nice dark eyes. RCC; 3 Bergmann’s Milkyway Miniature Black Dog, classy bl/br/w, good neck, shoulders & front, nice turn of hindquarters. GCD (1) 1 Raabe Finis’ Int/D/A/Nl/Dk/Lux Ch Rebel Spirit Arcane Wizard, very pleasing br/w, has great character & showed very well. Very good body & rib, typical head but a little ordinary, coat in good condition. Could be steadier on the move. VB (3) 1 Wylie’s Ch Grandopera Small Change, outstanding for 9 years, real quality white, good head & eyes, immaculate front, good neck, shoulders & topline, moved & showed well. RCC; 2 Chitty’s Badlesmere Bedazzled for Seaquest, great to see this 11 years bl/br/w in such good form & still enjoying her showing, a great credit to the breed. PB (3) 1 Thornley’s Warbonnet Tinkerbell, most promising bl/br/w of pleasing size, good head, nice neck, shoulders & outline, good hindquarters, moved & showed well; 2 Preddy’s Shacadia’s Sugar N’Spice at Shacals, br/w, showed & moved well, good neck & topline, nice hindquarters. Not the head of 1; 3 Monaghan’s Warbonnet Fleur Nostradamos, litter sister to 1 but is bigger & carrying too much weight which affected her shape & movement. Has a very good head type & is all Bull Terrier, can look better than this. JB (4) 1 Kaestner’s Tiffany Bonsai Von Amadis, very pleasing br/w, good head with nice downface, well filled up, good neck, shoulders & topline, nice front & hindquarters, moved well; 2 Winninge’s Desert Orchid, very attractive white, everything to like but is on the big side for a Min, good head, moved & showed well, in lovely condition; 3 Werner’s Hope The Mini Warriors, br, better size than 2 but not as pleasing in proportions or head. Teeth could be a little better. Great showgirl, moved well. PGB (10) 1 Wright’s Kofyn Kontessa von Hofstetter, very pleasing, typical white, came alive on the move & I could then see what a typical Min Bull she is, well made, typical head & eyes, moved well; 2 Lawrence’s Badlesmere Bid For Gold with Cajuma, more lively r/w, nice dark eyes, good downface but could have a little more fill up. Nice neck & shoulders, coat in lovely condition; 3 Zhuchkina Et Gromova’s Human Sight Vintage Lady Bull, nice sized f/w, basically well made & has loads of character. Not quite the head qualities of those above. Good body, nice topline & tail, moved & showed well, tail carriage a little gay. LB (5) 1 Manoli’s Seaquest Ballykiss Angel, very typical white, pleasing head & eyes, good body & ribs, good strong hindquarters, nice front, moved well; 2 Rodger’s Erenden Fairy Nuff at Sharbul, rangier white, good downface, pleasing neck, shoulders & topline, could have a little better bone & feet, nice turn of hindquarters; 3 Cserfalvi-Young’s Ducassos Thumbalina, better bodied white but not so good in bite. Very good head shape, nice strong thighs, a little over excited today. OB (12) Very good class. 1 Chapman’s Grandopera Global Warming at Delektabul, lovely r/w, excellent mover & standing made the most of herself, very good head & eyes, pleasing neck & shoulders, nice front, legs & feet, well bodied, good strong well muscled hindquarters without being over the top, in super condition. CC; 2 Austin’s B/Dk/D-Vdh-Dcbt/Lux/Nl/Int Ch Elizabeth Trooping The Colour, very pleasing dark br/w, excellent head, good eyes, nice strength in chest & limbs, shapely, nice body, well let down behind; 3 Fernandez & Molano’s Wengormick Petite Lady, white, not quite the sparkling coat condition of those above but I liked her very much. Pleasing head & expression, good neck & shoulders, very good body & ribs, splendid thighs. GCB (2) 1 Presland & Vincent’s Ch White Eyed And Legless in Kofyn & 2 Raabe Finis’ Jubilee of Velvet Spine, two excellent bitches & it is very pleasing to know that they are so well behaved too. They both are a great credit to the breed. The winner pressed hard in the challenge. FERELITH SOMERFIELD |
