MINIATURE BULL JUDGE MIDLAND COUNTIES 13

Miniature Bull Terriers

Thank you so much for this excellent quality entry. I really was splitting hairs on my placements & look forward to seeing some of the exhibits some other time.

The temperament was as we all expect, excellent handling much improved but while I am not a ‘tooth fairy’ I was shocked by some of the exhibits dentition. I know that dogs don’t walk on their teeth but please when breeding do try to make correct dentition also a consideration.

Thank you to our oversea exhibitors, all dogs new to me & I was thrilled to judge them.

PD (1)

1 BP, Mountford’s Quayardson Sir Cedric, b/b/w, quality male, yes he is big enough but his make & shape cannot be overlooked. Super head shape, eye could be smaller. Huge perfect bite, well placed ears, strong neck, excellent shoulders, elbows well tucked in on the move. Would prefer more angulation to hindquarters & tailset a little high because of this. Well off for bone, excellent feet. Did lose topline on the move but this is a baby & he must go to the top, he needs time. Beautifully presented coat & handling.

JD (5)

1 Buchalska & Lockwood’s Grandopera Buffalo Bill, super tiger/br, another very useful dog for the breed. His faults are all on show. He is big enough, he could be shorter in the loin but his head is clean, strong & finished. He has perfect bite, large teeth, firm neck, correct shoulder placement, good bone & feet & when he settled he moved so true with drive from good hocks;

2 McGregor’s Merlindan Captain Chaos, this dog cannot stand wrong, he makes a super outline. I love his general make & shape & showmanship. Perfect bite. However I was disappointed in his movement, I am sure better on another day. First class headpiece;

3 Chitty’s Seaquest Rude Boy.

PGD (2)

1 CC & BOB, Kick & Hoesl’s Jason Von Der Alten Veste, br/w, in excellent coat & condition. Lovely clean head, strong completely filled. Would prefer a better placed ear. Super expression, large teeth, perfect set square in jaws. Strong neck, correct shoulder placement, quality bone, standing on compact feet, deep ribbing. Would like him slightly shorter in the loin. Good angulation & excellent movement. True with reach in front & drive from behind, quietly handled. Looked so good in a strong terrier group. Thank you so much for staying, I am sure your British title will not be far off;

2 Hearne, Singleton & Bloom’s Warbonnet Kinda Kinky, strongly built, well balanced, correct for size, perfect bite, well placed ears, firm neck, deep chest, in fine order, moved OK. Br/w coat in excellent condition. Loved his temperament, loves his mum.

LD (4)

1 RCC, Clark’s Grandopera The Dark Side, true show boy, br/w, headpiece almost perfect. Elbows well tucked in on the move, strong short neck, well balanced body, moved well both ways. His cross to bear is his bite but with that head & deep underjaw it is almost expected. Useful dog for the breed nonetheless. First class temperament, should make up;

2 Hughes’ Graymor Gallantry, very typy, one to watch out for, another correct head, perfect bite, useful dog for the breed. Moved well especially in front, quietly handled;

3 Scherzer’s Harley Von Der Alten Veste.

OD (9,2a)

1 Dodwell’s Decadance Defender, this boy has been around some time now & glad I could judge him. He has much good about him. Very well presented b/w. Yes he is big enough & yes he could be shorter in the loin but he has an excellent headpiece, perfect bite, super bone & feet, elbows tucked in on the move which was much better than I have seen before. Drive from short firm hocks;

2 Scherzer’s Ch Pepe Vone Der Alten Veste, lovely typy b/w, correct head, perfect full dentition, good shoulder placement. Excellent temperament. Expected him to move better, maybe handler should move him slower – I did try to pass on this information at the time;

3 Bell’s Quayardson Sir Barclay at Darlou.

PB (3,2)

1 Kaestner’s Bullrichs Catch Me If You Can, such a pretty bitch, of correct size. Very well balanced, b/w coat well presented, lovely head, so feminine. Correct bite & keen expression, well placed & used ears, moved well both ways, very well handled. Promising.

JB (3)

1 RCC, Hearne & Singleton’s Arcazy Uptown Girl by Warbonnet, notes read wow, what a showgirl. Excellent head, filled & turned, keen expression, well placed ears. Her cross is her bite but how can this bitch be overlooked on just this fault. So well balanced length of leg to length of back, short firm, holding topline on the move & movement true fore & aft. In first class condition, super temperament;

2 Rodger & Stephens’ Seayess Condition Red at Mysibul, r/w, hope handler can get more confidence in this exhibit as she shows much promise. Loved her general make & shape, head filled & turned & deep but still feminine;

3 Scherzer’s Juice Joint Marso-Bull.

PGB (4)

1 Kick & Hoesl’s Jil Von Der Alten Veste, typy b/w, feminine, one to breed from. Balanced head, filled & turned, perfect bite. Would prefer better shoulder placement. In good condition, good feet, very pleasing temperament;

2 Withrington’s Arcazy Beautiful Disaster, what a beautiful girl she is, no disaster. Yes she is big & to be critical she could be shorter in the loin but I do hope she is bred from, she has much to offer if mated to the right dog. A head to die for, perfect bite, moved a dream around the ring. A really lovely bitch, super temperament;

3 Hofer’s Kofyn Kwantative Teasing.

LB (8,2)

1 Hughes’ Graymor Glacial Dawn, another where my notes read wow. The only reason this girl didn’t get higher in the challenge is because she had recently had a phantom pregnancy & had lost some condition. She is full of breed type, head filled & turned & finished with perfect bite. Correct for size, so well balanced, moved so well, excellent temperament, loved her;

2 Wright’s Kofyn Kontessa Von Hofstetter, another nice bitch. Head needs more fill. Perfect bite, well placed ears, lovely bone & feet, quietly handled;

3 Lawrence’s Badlesmere Bid For Gold with Cajuma.

OB (7)

Good class.

1 CC, Kaestner’s Ch Tiffany Bonsai von Amadis, what a showgirl, at one with her very confident handler. Correct for size, super sweep to head, strong & finished to end of muzzle, such a pretty girl. Would prefer a smaller eye. Correct placed ears, perfect full dentition, well balanced height to length of leg & body. Tail set on correct. In excellent b/w coat & condition, moved so well front & back but in the challenge for BOB felt the male moved better. Wish she was mine;

2 Preddy’s Shacadia’s Sugar N’Spice at Shacals, I have admired this rich r/br/w bitch, I am sure she can go far. Yes I would like her shorter for balance but no dog is perfect. Head filled & turned, correct bite, shoulders correct, elbows well tucked in, moved well & so well handled;

3 Llewellyn’s Ch Bullypins Kalypso.
