MINIATURE BULL JUDGE SOUTHERN COUNTIES 18

There was entry of 25 dogs, no absentees amongst the males, but four bitches absent. We were blessed with good weather and the Minis were in high spirits. As always, there was quite a variance in size and I also had some bad mouths. Handling could have been better. Dog showing these days is an expensive hobby and I think you owe it to your dog to do a bit of basic training, get him used to being gone over on the table, walk in a reasonably straight line and stand looking alert and interested for a short while. Terriers are naturally lively and bright - obstinate, yes, but also amenable to discipline.

PD (3)

1 & BP, Brommont-Lothary's Queequeg Bonsai Von Amadis. 11 mths brindle/w, very smart youngster in hard condition, very fit and well muscled, well filled head, obliquely placed expressive eyes, good feet, glossy short coat, keen showman.

2 Aubrey, Morris & Philips' Badlesmere Blues Brother At Jenabeck. Promising white of 11 mths, good head, excellent mouth, good body, quite a sound mover but needs table practice and to move and show in a more orderly fashion.

3 Nijinsky's Aedestaurum Chattanooba Choo Choo.

PGD (1)

1 Nijinsky's Appollos Crimson. 3 yrs, well up to size, strong, masculine head of good shape and well filled, hard body, well proportioned, moving with a bit of a hop and a skip today. Dirty feet.

LD (2)

1 Dobbin's Debully Bright Star. 19 mths up to size but a decent looking male in excellent condition, long strong head, keen expression, good silhouette standing, bit body and muscletone, moved ok, steady showman, well handled.

2 Chitty's Seaquest El Sid. 3 yrs, well rounded body, a bit too rounded in fact as he was carrying too much weight which affected his front movement, good bone, typical head and eyes, well proportioned but up to size.

OD (5)

1, CC & BOB, Hughes & Scherzer's Shooter Von Der Alten Veste (Imp Deu) TAF. 3 yrs, good outline and proportions, ok for type and size, pleasing head, keen eyes and expression, strong body and quarters, moved well but handler could have got more out of him standing. I gather this was his third and crowning CC, well done.

2 & RCC, O'Neill & Hohmuth's Bullyon Redefining Measure With Khlolander. 2 yrs, very good showman and handled to best advantage, keen and focused throughout, clean, well presented coat, fit body, short back, well muscled attractive head and exporession, carrying his tail too high on the move, a little out at elbow coming towards you but an appealing overall picture.

3 Dobbin's Ch Debully Shooting Star.

V (1)

1 & BV, Presland's Ch White Eyed And Legless In Kofyn. Nine and a half yrs white, a shade long cast and now a little slack in topline, feminine head and still has a full mouth, showed well and moved ok for an old girl, could have been presented a little more pristine.

PB (3)

1 Clark's Pixar Of Slanting Shore At Grandopera NAF TAF. 10 mths, bright showgirl and well handled, only had eyes for her mum, but it could have been for a tempting sausage! Attractive head, keen as mustart, well bodied, firm and fit, moved well. When competing for BP, lost her concentration and the BP rosette.

2 Nijinsky's Lancerland Propaganda. 6 mths, having a ball, but eventually settled down to move in quite a sensible way, keen and alert, big personality, strong muscular neck, bit long cast at the moment.

3 Wylie's Demidreams Pin Up At Transcend.

JB (1)

1 & RCC, Whittaker's Wengormick Petite Firenze. Up to size brindle/w of 14 mths, shapely, extremely fit and well conditioned, athletic and bouncing with good health, piercing glint in those eyes, lovely expression, clean neckline, good topline and body, full of herself and yes, she got her tail up on the move, great showgirl, never stopped wagging. Asked to be noticed and deserved the small great card.

LB (2)

1 Bennett & Pickering's Quayardson Lady Grainger At Phunsize. Brindle/w of 2 yrs, stained feet, spoiled overall impression, good head, showy and focused, dark eyes, big hindquarters, moved quite well. Not in her best coat.

2 Hopkins & Taylor's Enter Into Manduessedum From Enamorada (Imp Pol). 19 mths, feminine youngster with good silhouette standing, well proportioned, pleasing head, typical expression, well presented, lacking co-ordination on the move.

OB (6, 3)

1 Dance & Llewellyn's Decadance Destinee Bullypins. 2 yrs old, good size and type, showed herself off non stop and would have wagged forever, loved every moment in the ring, good head, keen eyes and expression, shapely body, well muscled and quarters, moved very well, well conditioned and handled.

2 McGregor's Opium Bonsai Von Amadis. 19 mths, standing looked the winner, strong, fit body, quality head, intelligent expression, well proportioned, fit and well muscled, hind movement let her down today.

3 Connolly & Gourley's Bullfortis Blazing Star.
