CAIRN BATH 25 Judge: Mr P Horspool VD (1) 1 Birselaw Come Dancing with Macmoon OSW JW ShCEx ShCM (Lamb & Saltmarsh) A dark brindle dog of 8yrs, typical workman like outline, masculine head & expression, body, good harsh coat, well made body, moved freely. MPD (1) 1 Carradine Sir Percival (Lucas & Tobutt) A 8mths old, red brindle, pleasing outline, dark eye, neat well placed ears, level topline, correst tailset, harsh double coat, sound mover, obviously needs time but everthing in the right place to develope. JD (3,1) 1 Tycadno Shining Star Around Macmoon JW (Lamb & Saltmarsh) A wheaten with a balnced true outline, typical head & expression, fair reach of neck, good tailset, well made quarters, showed well.moved with drive. 2 Carradine All Ways A Chance (Rose) A brindle dog of good type, nice head, ample bone, level topline, would prefer more coat to complete the picture. PGD (2) 1 Furythor Reluctant Villain (Munday) A niclely balanced dark brindle dog with a keen expression, neat ears, level topline, moved freely & with drive, good harsh coat & in good condition, pleasing overall make & shape. 2 Tycadno New Tricks (Thomas & Jones) A wheaten with a masculine head & expression, good topline & tailset, shapely quarters, not so steady on the move as 1st. LD (3) 1 Wonderpaws Obi Wan Kenobi (Griffiths) A wheaten with dark points, dark eye with typical expression, he has a fair reach of neck, clean shoulders, level topline, good tailset, moved well, front & rear. 2 Sanderfield On The Rocks for Cherrycrack (Imp Fin) (Shopland) A truly honest brindle dog of a slightly larger frame, pleasing head with the desired stop, also has a good length of neck, big spring of rib, moved ok when settled. 3 Seveek Country Lad (Lucas & Tobutt) OD (6,2) 1 Ch Cloverbrook Game Set Nmatch (Ballinger) A dark brindle one with a harsh double coat, masculine outline, liked his head & expression with a good stop, his neck is of a fair reach, well laid shoulders, big spring of rib, good medium bone, correct front, well made quarters, free easy mover with good stride, well handled, pleased to award him the CC. 2 Ch Carradine Apple Jack (Inett & Harrison) A smart red dog with quality, balanced in outline, alert expression, well made body, level topline, good coat & condition, well presented, just a little unsettled in the class. RCC. 3 Ch Glenrood Galaxy at Tribannon (Waugh) VB (1) 1 Cannwood Misty Dawn at Gethlee (Smith) A cream bitch of 9yrs, still good in outline, balanced feminine head with an alert expression, well laid shoulders, level topline, harsh coat, moved freely & showed well. BV. MPB (3) 1 Remember Your Roots with Carradine (Hiam) A red bitch just over 6mths of age, balanced outline, keen & lert expression, enough body for age, good coat & condtion, moved freely, well handled. 2 Uniquecottage Sorrel (Parker-Tucker) A wheaten with lots to like, nice head & expression, good harsh coat, ample bone, prefered movement & showmanship of the winner, but could easily change places another day. 3 Tribannon Rose Pixie (Waugh) PB (3) 1 Carradine Hazel Moon (Hiam & Hartop) A most appealing red bitch of just over 9 mths, nicely proportioned outline, feminine head & expression, medium bone, liked her overall make & shape, in good coat & condition, moved with purpose, showed well. BP 2 Glenrood It Has to Be Me (Dolan) Another red, slightly taller than 1st, pleasing head, level topline, correct tailset, moved with drive. 3 Glenrood Silent Whisperer at Cairngold (Firth) JB (1) 1 Cairngold Claim to Fame (Firth) A silver brindle with feminine head & expression, dark eye & neat ears, correct harsh double coat, ample bone for size, moved freely. PGB (4) 1 Furythor Born to Sparkle by Lentrica (Clarke) An eyecatching dark brindle, attractive head & keen expression, good neck & shoulders, double harsh coat that was well presented, she owns a big spring of rib, strong developed quarters, moved well both ways, handled to advantage. 2 Be Gin Again at Tweslam (Osborn) A silver brindle with more than a touch of quality, feminine head, fair neck & well laid shoulders, medium bone, sadly tended to pull away in front on the move which was a pity, one not to be over looked. 3 Tycadno Dark Star (Thomas & Jones) LB (6) 1 Dazzle Me at Tribannon (Waugh) A wheaten bitch, typical of this kennel, totally feminine in outline, pleasing head, good reach of neck, level topline, correct tailset, covered the ground with purpose, unfortunately not giving her best in the challenge. 2 Tweslam Be Gin The Magic (Osborn) Another good exhibit from this kennel, appealed for her shape & balance, good topline, harsh coat & nice condition, moved freely. 3 Cloverbrook Forget Me Not (Ballinger) OB 1 Ch Pendley Sea Breeze (Yates-Johnson) An impressive brindle with quality, truly honest in outline, scored in head & expression with dark eyes, small neat ears, good reach of neck & well laid shoulders, big spring of rib, correct tailset, strong quarters, she was presented in super coat & condition, moved freely & with drive, plenty of ring presence with animation. CC & BOB. 2 Penticharm It’s My Party (Hooton & Hughes) I’ve been admiring the Penticharm Cairns for the last 40 odd plus years & this bitch is no exception, I wrote in my notes typical ‘Penticharm’ good in overall make & shape, the best of fronts with medium bone, put on a good performance, just prefered the rear movement of the winner, surely must gain her crown RCC. 3 Glenrood Midnight Spell (Dolan) P Horspool |
