CAIRN JUDGE BOSTON 24 Judge: Mark Ord (Marnadee) MPD (6) 1 Furythor Reluctant Villain (Munday) showy young male in good coat, well shaped head, like the front proportions, for age has good rib & firm loin, correctly set tail ere erect & alert & he had eyes well apart & dark. 2 Carradine Bright Cider Life (Inett & Harrison) raw in comparison to 1 but has such potential, strong jaw & good dentition, ears need to settle but confident they will, expressive eyes correctly set, good neck into sloping shoulders, deep rib & beginning to spring into correct shape, stands with hocks well set. 3 Tycadno Shining Star (Lamb & Saltmarsh) JD (3,1) 1 Sanderfield On The Rocks for Cherrycrack (Imp Fin) (Shopland) nice shape & size for a male, pleasing in head shape with good firm neck, does tend to stand sloppy in his front, in lovely full coat of good texture, well shaped rib & firm loin, well set tail correctly carried, correct feet front & rear, moved better in rear than in front. 2 Tycadno Quick Shot (Sinclair & Tothill) a longer cast body than 1, not as keen & alert either, has correct coat of good texture, well set tail, moved soundly both fore & aft just lacking any enthusiasm today. PGD (1) 1 Carradine My Way Lenny (Inett & Harrison & Bateman) scored highly for his movement, well shaped skull, good dentition, would like a shade more strength in his under jaw, correct body shape with well set tail, very alert & agile with keen expression. LD (2) 1 Seveek Country Lad (Lucas & Tobutt) liked the head shape , good strong jaw & correct bite, well placed alert ears, pleasing in shoulder set but tends to stand a touch wide in front, in good full coat of pleasing texture, well sized feet. 2 Mosspur Time and Again (Purvis) a shorter bodied male than 1 with a nicely shaped head, correct in eye & ear, firm neck, nice deep rib & firm loin, today moving better in rear than in front, well set tail, good sized front & rear feet. OD (5,2) 1 Carradine Apple Jack (Inett & Harrison) quality masculine male of lovely balance from head to rear, moves really well with little effort, full of character & has the true alert terrier look, well shaped & set ears, in excellent hard condition, well groomed & presented coat of good harsh texture, correct neck length fitting well into good shoulder placement, all male without any heavy coarseness. BD 2 Ch Carradine Arfa Pint JW (Hiam) shown & handled to perfection this well schooled male was unlucky to meet 1 in such fine fettle today, oozing in confidence & has excellent breed character, very pleasing in head & neck, good balance of forequarters to his well set rear, no exaggeration & in excellent body & hard condition, well presented coat of good texture. RBD 3 Lentrica Mystic Warrior (Munday) VD (1) 1 Birselaw Come Dancing with Macmoon OSW JW ShCEx ShCM (Lamb & Saltmarsh) a dog I have always liked for his movement & today he was on top form, last time I judged him he was not in his best body condition or coat but today was back in fine fettle, showed really well, not flashy but so sound in construction & movement, well set tail & good feet. BV Special Beginners D (1) 1 Tycadno Quick Shot (Sinclair & Tothill) GCDSD (1) 1 Tycadno Quick Shot (Sinclair & Tothill) MPB (4) 1 Landbuck Amethyst (Felters & Rumens) late arrival into the ring but this did not disrupt her performance & she is very much a show girl, feminine & raw but so much potential, just what you want at this age, lovely in head, eye & ear, profuse double coat, has a really pleasing shoulder set & in good body for young age, stands firm both in front & rear, correct feet front & back, well set tail, so impressed with her movement & performance today. BP and RBB 2 Furythor Born to Sparkle (Clarke) more mature in look & slightly bigger in frame than 1, liked her head, eye & ear, well placed neck & has a nice rib cage & firm loin, holds herself together well both moving & stacked, correct tail set & carriage, in good double coat. 3 Lindcoly Oceans of Opal NAF (Saich) JB (1) 1 Lindcoly Cherry On Top (Saich) feminine with the most lovely front, took a while to settle but when she did her profile & movement were top notch, lovely keen expressive eyes set wide apart, again when settled her ears pricked up & used them well, double coat of pleasing texture. PGB (5) 1 Cloverbrook Shining Star over Gethlee (Smith) longer in body proportions than 2nd but today in better coat, skull is broad with well set alert ears, good bite, strong well muscled rear, with well set low hocks, good tail set & carriage, she moved with vigour & showed sound free strides. 2 Cannwood Quiet Reflections (Metcalf-Sault) coat was blown today but liked her proportions, feminine but not overly fine, nice steady mover just needs to show more confidence as tending to go very low to ground rather than look alert. 3 Svendalens Dancing Queen (Parkin) LB (4) 1 Furythor Marvel at Me (Munday) pleasing in profile when stacked & has good balanced front & rear, well shaped ribbing & strong firm loin, well set low hocks, in good coat & hard muscular condition, in a good coat of good texture & not over presented she still had the natural appearance of a cairn, good tail. 2 Lindcoly Picture Perfect (Saich) lively girl who never stood still for a second, like her size & shape, in full coat well presented, lovely dark expressive eyes wide apart, good ear carriage. 3 Airytykes Socialite (Tester) OB (3,1) 1 Carradine Piccadd Lilly (Inett & Harrison) one I have not seen before but captured a picture of pure quality & today won over her male kennel mate who I have previously done well, for me she has it all, loved her size, feminine throughout, excellent in all head aspects, correct neck & text book front, in perfect body condition, super top line, firm low hocks, shows herself to perfection & was presented for the show ring but still maintaining that natural working terrier look, best textured coat today. BB and BOB 2 Lindcoly Ocean Dream (Saich) another who is most pleasing for her size & shape, stacked her profile is flowing & well proportioned, full coat of good texture, has correct front & rear sized feet, lively expressive dark eyes, showed herself well & moved true. VB (3) 1 Airytykes Excuse Me (Tester) won class over others on her size & balance, slightly sloppy in her loin when moving, still has good dentition, well set neck, ribs ok, moved true fore & aft, not a heavy coat, 7 yr old & still fit for function. 2 Cannwood Misty Dawn at Gethlee (Smith) older & therefore a lot heavier in both ribbing & loin than 1, pleasing in head, eye & expression, good dark eye, nicely shaped feet, despite being heavy in body held top line well. 3 Cannwood Call Me Aggie (Metcalf-Sault) Special Beginners B (1) 1 Cannwood Can’t Get Enough (Mrs J A Metcalf-Sault) good head shape, firm jaw & good bite, would prefer more depth of rib, firm loin, coat now past its best & ready for stripping, very eratic on move so difficult to assess. GCDSB (1) 1 Svendalens Dancing Queen (Parkin) a handy workmanlike bitch of correct size & substance, in full coat of correct texture, good rib depth, firm strong loin, well shaped feet & has correct tail set & carriage, was more settled on the move than in her previous class today.
