CAIRN JUDGE CRUFTS 25

Great honour to judge at this prestigious show. Excellent day with a very good entry and some wonderful Cairns. Thankyou to my three excellent stewards Mrs H. Cook, Mrs M. Egbury, Mrs J. Kay who also had very nice coffee too. Thankyou for your entries. There were many with upright shoulders and very short upper arms. The Cairn is not a terrier breed that should be constructed this way. The standard calls for standing well forward on forepaws, this important phrase is ignored or simply not understood. Without the upper arm, the Cairn front movement does not go anywhere and just has a restricted stride, along with no extension. Heads were mainly reasonable, ears not too large and some tails were too short. Plus some with open coats. Temperaments were very good.
