CAIRN JUDGE DARLINGTON 11

MPD (4: 1.ab)

1 Felters and Ruman’s Landbuck Para Handy . Quality dark brindle, well up to size for age. Very nice head with dark eye and typical expression, good length of neck flowing into well laid shoulders, well angulated front and rear, correct tail set. Moved freely and with drive. BPIB.

2.Robert’s Cannwood Cut Above. Very promising wheaten with very good head and expression, very sound throughout, strong quarters and good tail set. Moved well

3. Catto’s Birslaw Bobby Darin.

PD (2)

1. Lamb and Saltmarsh’s Renshaw There and Back Again . Very sound moving red brindle, good length upper arm and shoulder placement, straight topline, very typical head and expression, to be super critical should like a shade more length of back, Showed well.

2. Shannon and Storr’s Brenndarcy Brassed Off. I thought this was a most promising puppy but he must really have been ‘brassed off’ on the day. He has the most lovely head and very naughty expression but otherwise hard to judge as on the table his head went down and his back end up and vice versa and he jumped about this way and that on the move. Standing he looks balanced and sound and I just know he can do better.

JD (2)

1. Lattimer’s Birselaw Sir Bobby Wheaten brindle shown in full coat, super head, good length of neck and good shoulder placement, well angulated rear, moved well.

2. Carter’s Carradine Alfie the Great at Carerwil. Grey brindle, very typical head, although short today, quality coat growing in, good angled rear, moved well behind but a tad wide in front.

PGD (2)

1. Inett & Heidecker’s Reg the Rocket. Wheaten with super head, dark eye and points which enhances the expression, well balanced with good angulation front and rear, quality coat.

2. Lamb & Saltmarsh’s Birslaw Fable. Grey brindle with , good head and front shown in good coat. Just preferred the rear movement of 1.

Limit Dog (2)

1. Braybrook’s Cloverbrook Codebreaker. Grey with the desired dark points, lovely head with mischievous expression, balanced outline and well angulated front and rear. Moved very well keeping firm topline.Pleased to award him the RCC.

2. Harland’s Cannwood Zipper at Thackeston. Very typical dark brindle

with the best of heads and excellent coat, played his handler up which made it difficult to assess his movement. Nice dog though.

Open Dog (5).

1. Shannon & Storr’s Brenndarcy Trouble At Mill. I though this dog represented the Standard well for size, all his proportions ’medium’, good neck, shoulder placement, pleasing rear angulation, typical head with good stop, dark eye and impossible to describe cairn expression, moved very freely. Very pleased to award him the CC.

2. Smith’s Ch. Rocasovale Razzle Dazzle. Another very sound quality dog,

larger than 1 but balanced, throughout, good angulation front and rear, with very typical head and expression, gave his handler a hard time whilst moving today, but a very worthy champion.

3. Felters and Rumen’s Ch. Landbuck Tillisch.

MPB (4)

1. Shaw’s Honeyhall Hearsay. Very attractive wheaten brindle baby shown in full coat. Liked her head and alert expression. Good balance, front and rear angulation., topline and tailset. Well presented.

2.King, Leighton, Inett & Harrison’s Carradine I am Florence with Harkenleigh. Another promising puppy. A very lively red brindle, lovely outline, which was clearly visible because she had no coat ! Think this is a case of ‘watch this space’.

3. Coffell.s Ometto Miss Marple

PB (2)

1. Shannon and Storr’s Brenndarcy Snedronningen Medium balanced wheaten, Liked her head enhanced with dark muzzle, eyes and ears, handles well on the table, coat correct but past its best.

2. Ballinger’s Carradine Minnie the Moocha. Dark brindle bitch in good condition but very short of coat, she showed well, moved OK but needs to tighten a little in front, preferred the balance of 1

JB (3)

1. Carter, Shannon & Storr’s Brenndarcy Dizzie Lizzie. Lovely wheaten,

Very sound throughout, liked her head, and expression , harsh coat, moved very well.

2. Newton’s Strathinver Starturn. Sound red brindle in good condition, very typical head and dark mask, shown in full coat, just preferred expression of 1.

3. Culliford’s Brenndarcy Maid in Heaven.

PGB (8. 2.ab) (very nice class)

1. Inett’s Carradine Come on Irene. Quality dark brindle, sound throughout, moved very freely and with drive.

2. Shaw’s Honeyhall High ‘N’ Dry. Beautifully balanced wheaten brindle, lovely head with typical dark points and correct eye. Another sound cairn who moved very freely. Her coat was just starting to go which offered me the ‘hair’ to split them.

3. Miller’s Cornton Reay.

LB. (5: 1.ab)

1. Warne’s Cloverbrook Carousel at Spirebrook. Well constructed grey brindle with the most lovely head and expression, correct dark eye, handled very well on the table, correct medium proportions throughout and as expected, moved very well. RCC.

2. Waites Svendalens Crazy Diamond. Very attractive grey brindle, loved her head and expression, well put together, moved well keeping a firm topline.

3. Hacker’s Teddeana Kentish Maid.

OB. ( 6)

This was a quality class.

1. Catto’s Ch. Birslaw Any Dream Will Do. This is a truly stunning cairn with a head to die for. Wheaten with very dark mask, eye and ears, very soundly constructed and moved with style. CC and BOB.

2. King, Leighton, Inett & Harrison’s Curtisey Foreign Account with Carradine. Beautiful dark brindle with a gorgeous head, sound throughout, shown in excellent coat, moved well.

3. Harding’s Ch. Cannwood Remember Holly.

Three outstanding bitches.
